| | I was reading through the archives recently and I've come to the part where there is an abundance of Orcish being spoken. I was wondering, is this language translatable? Is it just an alphabet switch from English (i.e. a=p and t=o so "at" would translate to "po") or is it something different altogether? I just want to know what they're saying. It's so frustrating missing parts of the conversation. |

| I'll second that. While I don't know whether there was a predetermined Orcish language, obviously they're supposed to be saying specific things. It'd be nifty to have translations. Particularly, it'd be nifty to have a "translation tool", where you could go into the archives, pull up a comic that had Orcish in it, click a button, and the Orcish would swap over to English. _________________ The DM will do a lot of talking, but if he’s not rolling the dice then what he’s saying is probably not important.

Orcish isn't just an alphabet swap. Actually, I have no idea what it is, but *shrugs*

Iakka takka translates to "Happy dance", apparently, so yeah. Maybe Mookie just made up random words and strung them together as he went so that they sounded good *shrugs* |

| Orcish is not at all related to English. Mookie just uses words that sound Orcish in order to make them speak it. _________________

Well then, we'll put it up to a vote; all in favor of making Jan 10 "Gay Buttsmecks Day" on the forum, say "Aye"! _________________
