My avatar is from a webcomic called Chainmail Bikini, which has unfortunately died.

Please note that, if you see a quote of me in a sig, it is probably from the period of time when Magello took over my username. Crazy guy.

I'm more then happy to donate for the older ones too, I agree it would be nice if the really old ones were put up in an archive, perhapse a bulk buy donation for the newbies like all 12 from 06 for a certain price, and 05, and so on. What ever he decides to do, I just wanted to stir up interest. I need something to blow my money on while I'm waiting for the next book to hit. *eyes tshirts* 0_0

It would be a nifty idea to make a ZIP file with all old wallpapers, and get them from a separate donation.

I also want to have access to old donation wallpapers. My suggestion is this:

Try and get Mookie to create an archive, where all donation wallpapers (even the new ones) are gathered. Then make all of them available for the usual donation fee, that is "donate 1 dollar, get 2 wallpapers, free of choice".

How about that, could it work? Due to my lack of experience when it comes to transferring money, I have missed LOTS of donation wallpapers and I AM willing to donate to get them.

It's not the matter of the transfer. But our general lack of communication with Mookie. He doesn't visit often.

We could all send him an email asking if he could make a bulk selection of wallpapers availible.

I'll mail Mookie right away, and post the link to this thread, so he can read it and maybe he'll see that there are at least some people who would be willing to donate more money to him, in exchange for older wallpapers.

EDIT
Just sent this to Mookie:

Please just read this forum thread, Mookie:

We want to have older donation wallpapers and we (the forumites) are willing to make donations for it. How about an archive with all old wallpapers available?

I just had to post about this somewhere people would understand why I am so happy about this. A long while back, my motherboard and hard drive died and I lost all my data. Part of that included donation wallpapers. Of the two drives that were in the computer though, one of them still works! I got it up and running this evening and discovered I have some wallpapers I thought I had lost forever. Most of them were sadly on my main hard drive that's defiantly dead. But a few more saved makes me happy. I'm still missing all of my old mp3s from the last 3 years, but at least I got something off my second drive finally.

Always make backup copies. The easiest way to do that is to buy an external HD. It also doubles as extra storage room.

I did. My removable hard drive that had all the back ups died the exact same time my old computer did. >.< That was not a good day.

Too bad. You must have an extreme case of bad luck to have two drives crash at the same time. What are the odds of that? Seems a little strange...

It both happened within the same like 2 days. I kill computures very easily. It's a curse and a gift.

On Topic-ish:
Maul, can we do anything with the older wallpapers I managed to find for forumites ? Contacting Mookie about old ones seems fine in theory, but I don't think we'll get a response.

Hmmm... Well, they're Mookie's walpapers, so I don't think we should post them without his permission.

Ok, well rather than email him, I'll ask him in person. I'll see him at Otacon, because I am defiantly going to that con. I bought my registration today in fact.
