Have you tried going to the profile tab up the top, then across to the preferences section? Once you scroll down their should be an option called "always attach signature". You'll need to have that checked for the signature to appear.

If not, it might be something else. That's the most common problem. It took me ages to figure out at first. >_>

I had that problem, too. Reminds me, it's about time my signature turned indigo too.

EDIT: Which reminds me reminds me -- is there a way to automatically incorporate format into the post screen, or do I have to input it every time?

I think you have to input it every time. I could make it indigo, I guess, but I could only make that the default color for the entire forum - which wouldn't really be fair for everyone else.
