| | Well, you hit the nail on the head. The group projects I've worked on usually require a lot of group meetings and such so that everyone is working in the same direction. |

| Exactly. Messing coding is a fucking nightmare. If we weren't organised, we wouldn't be coding. _________________ You're about to die. Scream if you must.

| we could probably start plotting out the engine, though, if we're going to scratch-build that. I mean, that is independant of the rest of design.
The big question then is just what type of fighting game we want to make. After that, the requirements for the engine should be apparent. _________________ You and your friends are dead.

| Tomorrow afternoon (26 hours away or so) after class I'll try to take a look at this M.U.G.E.N. thing so that I have an idea of what we may or may not be working with. I'm also going to have to go by the university and grab software from the MSDN room as I haven't gotten anything since formatting my computer. _________________ You're about to die. | I'll check out M.U.G.E.N. too, I suggest we all do the same. Way to stay on task Gilgamesh!
I'll look for source code or anything else that's useful and share what I have. |

| I intend to use M.U.G.E.N. if it's not too much trouble. I have no real idea where to start, but I think we should just focus on the characters. Maulkin's sprite has been finished, so you guys could mess with that as a sample fighter. _________________

| | Well, crap, it's been a dream of mine to help create a video game, but unfortunately, I have 0 Java coding experience. D: I could probably come up with some character art and designs, though. I'm more of an artist, anyhow. |

| MUGEN is very buggy and crashes a lot.
It is also hard, if not impossible, from what I have seen, to have the following major elements of our planned game:
*Scripted battles *Unlockables *Boss battles
So, please don't use MUGEN. _________________

No need to take all the workload for yourself then. We'll keep ALL us programmers up to date with what needs to be done in the Programming section of the forums. Just sit back and relax for now. |
