Hmm... how do you guys feel about that being a forum rule? Say "Aye" or "Nay" for your vote.

"Aye!"

Aye!

Maybe nice-ify it into "no 1337 or aolspk, and please use a spellchecker"?

Well, okay then. I'm adding it to the rules.

I'm going to make this short.

1) You have every legal right to do this. In my opinion, you do not have the moral right to do this.

2) I will not participate in actively going around the boards editing people's spelling and grammar. Not only because of the moral issue I take with it, but because I don't have that kind of time. I signed up to be a mod because I'm here a couple times a day usually, and it's not a big deal for me to make sure nobody is breaking rules. This kind of policy would make moderation a full time job.

3) I'm an English major, and I can't spell OR check grammar worth a damn. I use the Firefox spell checker for my spelling, and grammar comes naturally to me.

EDIT: I didn't see the second page. I'm cool with adding legibility to the ruleset. Aye.

ok.. this sorta thing can be a land mine, i spent a good 3 years as the head moderator (real life caused me to have to abdicate) and we had heaps of lovelrly little newbies come in speaking with the text speak and crap. and theres also the huge font sizes and tiny font sizes and the hard to read colors.

let the mods edit, just get them to sign it
Edited by YourNameHere: Reason here

otherwise you get the noobs claiming big consipracies against them.
