I think the idea is that Greg read Supermage comics when he was a kid, and he created Supergreg in an attempt to emulate him. What, you never pretended to be Super . . . Ilpala as a kid?

Bah. It's panel six and Mookie's inevitable tendency of bolding the wrong words to emulate comic books. Throwing me off.

**pop**

That was my head exploding. Sorry if I got cerebral cortex on ya, I kinda couldn't help it.

I mean, yeah, it is explained... Yeah, it kinda fits in to the Deegan universe... Yeah, it makes this whole chaotic arc sort of make sense... But somehow, I still feel cheated.

OK, usually, Mookie does an awesome job of planting ideas into the reader's head with OVERT - that is, so overt almost everyone sees them - bits of information. But here, he just cast a spell (perhaps "Summon Plot IV"?) and conjured all of this convenient information here at the end. I *almost* woulda felt better had he not done that, and left it as was. Now it just seems like highly contrived damage control....

Oh well, at least he got the warp core sealed.

Also, I just noticed... Abrakaboom appears, yet again.

No, it really doesn't.

I liked the question Myusollo posed in the other thread of what exactly a super mage could actually do that an average mage couldn't. Besides having a reading of over 9000.

Presumably, they have the superior mental capabilities needed to be the first to think of being 'Super'. And they have to be a tailor, or have access to one.

That makes me wonder how many mages actually exist in the DD universe. They seem to be common enough that no one makes a big deal out of but few enough that people crap their pants when one goes loco. You'd think people would invent an anti mage spray or something by now.

EDIT: I like how Super Greg's comic had to have the age 8 thing attached to the bottom, in case anyone thought the present Greg was responsible.

yeah, you're right, I still am forced to agree with the Cthulu quote in my sig.

BTW, is Cthulu a new guy, or did he come over from them old keenspot forums?

Didn't someone call this happening yesterday?

I didn't really mind this strip. It's okay. There isn't anything that hasn't been implied for a while, and I do find some form of explanation for Supergreg made me feel a bit better about the whole thing.

And I assume Miranda or Donovan wrote out the cover of the Supergreg book. No eight year old's handwriting is that neat. : P

Edit: Yeah. MGL called it yesterday.

Actually, all the hand writing is the same, so for all we know it could have actually been TIM who wrote it.
