Is this considered a retcon? It seems to happen that when enough people complain about a certain element of a comic, it'll generally get some sort of explanation. I guess its almost like reader input.

No retcon could save this.

Fine. I'll write smaller. Stop now. Go away.

Please?

Did you honestly copy/enlarge this? Hahahahahaha

Retconning is just saying "This didn't happen like that. It happened like this." It's altering previous events, while this is simply explaining them.

Nah, I don't know why I just got so nitpicky about the handwriting. I think I just thought it a funny idea if someone like Jacob actually wrote the story instead of Greg. Possibly for future blackmail material.

And Razor, thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking it was somewhat along those lines.

All handwriting is the same in the DD universe, for individual characters? Nah.

It's in odd script and written in blood, but it's not the same handwriting.

Ditto. http://www.dominic-deegan.com/view.php?date=2003-11-05

It looks like Dominic is not printing, rather, using running writing, which would therefore be different handwriting.

And again.

And finally:

Jacob. Way too cool for paper. Razz (Not real example. =_=)

I also do know that these aren't particuarly strong examples, but I really can't be stuffed to go through the archives any longer looking for more. Although I didn't stumble across anything that looked the same as Gregory's supposed handwriting. It looks like a printed cover.

Also, I find it interesting that Mookie might have changed his mind reguarding texts. It's arguable whether the text the Sturz and the Infernomancer are reading early in the comic were the original universe wide language, or perhaps a special language designed for magical contracts.

That text Mookie used to use to make the world seem more exotic However he dosen't use it much anymore (Grabbed from Ecstasy and Evil page 17).

Now I feel more confortable knowing where this was comming from. All I can say now is mystery solved

Didn't someone call this happening yesterday?

I didn't really mind this strip. It's okay. There isn't anything that hasn't been implied for a while, and I do find some form of explanation for Supergreg made me feel a bit better about the whole thing.

And I assume Miranda or Donovan wrote out the cover of the Supergreg book. No eight year old's handwriting is that neat. : P

Edit: Yeah. MGL called it yesterday.

Bah! We're assuming too much--she was actually going to say, "Why are you dressed like Supermage?" Unfortunately, Gregory cut her off too soon, and just happened to keep her from getting the last consonant sound out.

Supermage, of course, is a hero from the Deeganverse's comic books. He flies around in skindex, saving small children and rescuing kittens from trees. He also usually gets the girl.

At least that's what I'm going to assume. That way, I only have to complain about the weak set-up, and hope that Mookie handwaves the costume-change properly (which should involve Rachel, as she was the one who helped Greg's "makeover").

I usually suck at prognostication, so when I do get it right, I like to claim credit.

Oh, yeah, sorry Matt. Going by current nicknames, I guess. I did mean Mathias. Was in a hurry when I posted that, so I just took a lazy man's shortcut.

The funny thing is, is that in real life, my name IS "Matt," so I was confused for a moment like, "HOW did he know my real name? Is he psychic? Is it in my profile?"
