New to DD

I started reading back during the Erossus arc...I think the first strip I read was Karnak-possessed Szark and Donovan Deegan's swordfight. Needless to say, I started out very confused. o.O

But it's managed to consistently hold my interest ever since, something not many entertainment media can claim to do.

I'm not quite sure when I started, seeing as I just went from the start, but my guess is around the TIM - Errosus mark.

I started at the beginning, so I do not really know what was going on when I started.
One of my friends sisters was looking at it, and they thought I'd like it.
Right now I'm at the end of Storm of Souls, so don't tell me how it ends.

I think I got on DD from the LiCD forums after clicking a link...

Then the first strip (the strip of the day past then) I've seen was the Knight Vision one.

I was as confused as Siggy as to why the hell he's seen demons after touching some liquid dripping out of a dead woman's mouth.

Then I proceeded to a week of reading archives, which made my fiancé upset since he doesn't want to bother reading a webcomic in animu-tastic style and couldn't understand why I bothered reading something drawn more crudely than doodles I do on napkins (according to him). Not that he likes webcomics at all... he told me LiCD was crap, except for 1-2 strips I've shown him.

Anyway, I honestly don't think I would have been hooked before then, I only read the archives to know why a cool looking knight looked so upset about seeing a few demons. If I got to something like... Luna being all angsty, I would have thought "meh, another drama webcomic" then left.

Reading the archives was really trippy to me, flipping through years of strips like a book while having japanese tunes playing in my headphones. I didn't have time to speculate, so the "big reveals" really managed to surprise me sometimes.

Then today I am here bitching about DD and throwing in my two greenish pennies in here from time to time.

Your fiancé sounds like a pretty perceptive guy. Dominic Deegan isn't the best-drawn thing out there, and Least I Could Do is terrible.

I started reading in August of 2003. Somewhere between Part 6 and Part 7 of Chapter 8: VISIONS OF DOOM. That was when I met the awesome guy, no longer boyfriend, who introduced me to it. Even when we talk now, he finds it amusing that I have become, and I quote, "obsessed." Just because I check it everyday doesn't mean I'm obsessed... right guys? >.<

Let's see... I started reading it last year, around the War In Hell arc.

I read the entire series from beginning to end in 2 days and have followed it ever since. :D
