| Now, on Keenspot, back in the days when Dominic Deegan was hosted there, Mookie had character biographies. For the sake of science and those who requested it, I'm posting the biographies, since I saved them onto my computer. They originally came with pictures of each character, but I'm not really keen on running all the pictures through photobucket at the moment. So without further ado:
(Also, Mookie, if you prefer that these aren't posted, I'd be happy to take them down. Just send the word.)
Also, be aware these biographies are very dated, and parts of them probably aren't quite Dominic Deegan canon anymore. I'll also sticky this as soon as I work out how. : P
Dominic Deegan
| Spoiler: | | | DOMINIC DEEGAN Dominic Deegan is gifted with the powers of second sight. He can see the past, the future, and anywhere in the present. He is the "middle child" of the three Deegan brothers. As far as he is concerned, he only has one brother, Gregory. Dominic considers himself a scholar, having written various journals and essays on arcane theory, mathematics, theology and history. He loves knowledge, and his second sight provides him with a great deal of it.
BRIEF HISTORY Dominic Deegan was born with visions. When he was a small boy, he would predict things that would come to pass and know the answers to unseen questions. Most people, when visited upon by such things, go mad. Dominic, like a true Deegan, shouldered the burden and dealt with it. His playmates often asked him to tell their future, to see if they would be great warriors or powerful spellcasters. At first, Dominic was eager to help his peers and utilized his talents on their behalf. He soon came to realize, at an early age, that that was all they liked about him. One day, Dominic claimed he could no longer see the future, and on that day, Dominic's "friends" were no longer interested in him. He quickly became a misfit, finding solace in his books and his little brother, Gregory. His parents encouraged him to pursue his visions and the magic of second sight, but he would have none of it. They supported his decision to be an academic, while his older brother, Jacob, laughed at his brother's folly. Everything changed one night when a necromancer, a powerful enemy of his parents, attacked their home. The sight of her rotting, mindless undead servants was carved into Dominic's already sensitive eyes, and he has never overcome his fear of them. While his parents were able to drive off the vile necromancer, her attack left its mark on the Deegan family forever. Gregory's leg was infected with the Blight of the Undead, and Jacob, already fascinated with death, was wholly encouraged to take up necromancy himself. Dominic realized he could have warned his family of the attack if he had not neglected his visions and the studies of second sight. The necromancer's attack fueled his desire to learn how to see the future, so he could stop further tragedies before they even began. It worked more quickly than he had hoped. His newfound control over his visions uncovered a terrible experiment. Jacob, who had been secretly studying the arts of necromancy, was trying to turn Gregory into a zombie by controlling the Blight inside him! The terrible experiment was stopped, and Dominic has never forgiven his older brother for such an atrocity. He shed no tears the night Jacob ran away from home. When he felt he had sufficient control of his second sight and could accurately interpret his visions, he left home for the town of Lynn's Brook. He was hoping to become a counselor to the mayor, or some other important public official. Instead, he was forced to set up shop as a fortune teller. It was not long before he was dealing with people who were only interested in him for his visions. With his view of people now sufficiently soured, he did the only thing he could to keep himself from going crazy. He bought a cat. Instead of a pet, he found a roommate. A talking cat named Spark. Though in some ways more of a pain than an actual person, he found a quick friend in the talking feline. He was introduced to the family during visits, and Dominic became attached his mischievous companion. Life continued this way for a few years. He was bullied once by a Royal Knight, and stopped a few robberies from a pair of blundering thieves, but life was, for the most part, routine. His life changed forever when a wicked sorceress walked through his door...
CURRENT STATUS Many, many things have happened to Dominic Deegan since Croona Travoria cursed him on that fateful day. He's been bullied by that Royal Knight a few more times. He's been stabbed by those thieves. He was nearly killed by a sightless devil-worshipper. He's been hung by dark cultists. He was chased from his home by an angry mob. He was "reunited" with his older brother, which subsequently caused an old phobia to resurface. The most important and wonderful thing to happen to him, however, was saving the life of that wicked sorceress's youngest daughter, Luna. In her, he's found an intellectual equal and a supportive friend. He's found someone who needs him, not for the knowledge his second sight can bring, but for the person he is, and what he had always meant to do with his talents... help people. Though loathe to admit it, Luna is the only one who has seen him for what he really is... a big softie. They, along with Spark, currently travel the countryside, looking for a new place to call home.

Luna Travoria
| Spoiler: | | | LUNA TRAVORIA Luna Travoria is a sorceress of great potential. She easily wields the powers of the four elements and crafts terrifying illusions. She was born with a rare condition that gave her tusks. Her self-esteem has been worn away by years of torment and neglect. Luna's will is strong, though her emotions are shaky. She is rebuilding her confidence with Dominic's aid, but she has a long way to go.
BRIEF HISTORY Luna Travoria is the last of the diminished Travoria family. She was born with a very rare birth defect that gave her tusks, and was constantly teased by her beautiful sisters and vain mother. Luna grew up with a shaky self-esteem. Her only real friends were Lady Jayden, who was then only a novice at a nearby church, and her books. As she grew into a young woman and Jayden moved away, she exhibited her family's talents for magic and became an adept sorceress. She developed a sharp intellect, able to decipher arcane texts and formulae with incredible speed. Despite her arcane and academic skills, Luna was sad, alone and full of self-doubt. Her sisters were married to wealthy noblemen while she was forced to hide behind a veil by her wicked mother. Years of neglect and rejection slowly wore away at Luna's resolve. When she developed a crush on Lord Siegfried, her mother arranged their meeting. His rejection finally broke her will and she attempted suicide, but Dominic saved her at the last moment, revealing her mother's terrible plot to drive her to kill herself! After her mother's hasty execution, she learned she had been left with nothing. With nowhere to go and nothing to her name, Luna tried suicide once more... and was once again rescued by Dominic Deegan. The normally grumpy seer took her into his home, gave her food and bought her new clothes. When he learned of her magical and intellectual prowess, he requested that she be his assistant. She readily agreed.
CURRENT STATUS Though her self-esteem is far from repaired, Luna Travoria is finally beginning to feel like she belongs somewhere... specifically, in Dominic's arms. Besides saving her life twice, he has given her his home, his confidence, and his affections. She has intense feelings for him and would never let any harm come to him. She has come far down the road to recovery, but she is still quite fragile.

Gregory Deegan
| Spoiler: | | | GREGORY DEEGAN Gregory Deegan is an immensely powerful white mage. His skill is matched only by his optimism. He is the youngest of the three Deegan brothers, and looks up to Dominic as his best friend and role-model. Gregory genuinely loves people and believes that there is significant good in everyone.
BRIEF HISTORY Most Deegans are like Gregory's mother. Gruff, cynical, and avoid people when they can. Gregory, however, is very much his father's son, and like him, an exception of a typical Deegan. Gregory has always been happy, joyous, eager to laugh and willing to help people. Even as a young boy, he was naturally likeable and it drew other children to be his friend. His couch forts were the stuff of legend. His bubbly demeanor even pierced the scowl of his older brother Dominic, as well as the darkness of his eldest brother, Jacob. It came as a surprise to no one that he had a natural aptitude for the healing and benevolent arts of white magic. He embraced his studies, and it only furthered his natural goodness. Then, one fateful night, his entire life changed. A powerful necromancer who hated his parents attacked their home. Gregory's leg was terribly injured by one of the necromancer's more loathsome undead minions. The wound was infected by the Blight of the Undead, and it quickly spread through his body. Were it not for the incredible healing powers of the white magic flowing through his veins, Gregory would have surely died. It slowed the Blight's progress enough allow his parents to get him proper aid from healers at a nearby Luanian church. They were able to stop it from consuming him, but they could not expel it from his body. His injured leg could not be properly healed, and he was rendered lame. The children who were so eager to play with him were now eager to leave him behind. He could no longer keep up with them. His new handicap opened the floodgates for other children to tease him, trip him, and generally pick on him. Despite his weakened body, Gregory would not let his spirit fall. Though he cried and bled, his happiness never diminished. Where he was physically frail, his will was unbreakable. His optimism was almost his downfall. His older brother, Jacob, had alienated himself from the rest of his family, but Gregory still believed in his brother's innate goodness. He honestly believed his big brother was just misunderstood. He thought he'd finally reached his elusive sibling when Jacob invited him out to the nearby cemetery... where he subjected Gregory to a terrible experiment. He had been studying necromancy, and had somehow learned to control the Blight of the Undead! Unwilling to harm his brother, even in self-defense, Gregory let him spread the Blight further into his body! He was rescued, seconds away from death, when Dominic's second sight alerted his parents to the fratricidal deed. Gregroy wept as Jacob vanished into the night. His studies of white magic excelled as he grew older. The Blight's infection had a unique effect on his spells, however, tinting them a strange shade of grey. Furthermore, whenever he was overcome with emotion, he would channel excessive amounts of white magic, often healing everything within a twenty foot radius of himself! He bore the brunt of many bullies and antagonists, but his spirit never wavered. While he got along famously with Dominic, they always argued about Jacob. Gregory was convinced there was still some good in him. One day, a few years after Dominic had moved away, Gregory decided to go for a walk near the Crescent Star Lake. He met the strangest of creatures, and on that day his life would change forever... again.
CURRENT STATUS Many, many things have happened to Gregory Deegan since he was reunited with Dominic at Crescent Star Lake. It was his white magic that saved Dirk the Mighty and The Dryad from the perverse claws of the Infernomancer. It was his optimism that helped Luna along the road to self-confidence. It was Gregory who used his magic to heal Lord Siegfried and Lord Milov Danovich of the Blight of the Undead. But most significant of all, Gregory came face-to-face with Jacob once more. Their meeting was not a pleasant one, and while it left Gregory more powerful than ever before... it also left him less optimistic. He is currently living in Barthis, staying at the Healing House with Nurse Pamela Chayler, and he still likes to build couch forts.

| Spark
| Spoiler: | | | SPARK! Spark is Dominic's cat. Actually, he's more of a roommate. Oh, and he can talk. Besides the ability to speak, Spark is like most cats. He loves to eat, sleep, play, and demands constant attention. Oh, and fish. Spark is a mischievous cat, but loves his boss and does his best to keep him safe. If Dominic was to get hurt, who would feed him?!
BRIEF HISTORY Many people assume that Spark is Dominic Deegan's "familiar," an animal companion magically bound to a spellcaster who serves its master without question. While that is the true definition of a familiar, that is far from the definition of Spark. There are many animals in the magical kingdom of Callan that can speak the language of humans. Spark is one such creature. While his ability to speak may make him seem a little more human, it does not make him any less cat. Dominic quickly learned how demanding cats can be when they can clearly tell you what they want. Besides his ability to talk, Spark's past isn't all that extraordinary. He was born in a pet shop near Quiral. He was sold to another pet shop when he started talking. Some wizards and spellcasters prefer talking animals. Spark heard the horror stories some pets had to endure under a wizard's wand, so he stopped talking. When he was sold to another ordinary pet shop near Lynn's Brook, he picked his owner. The runty, skinny orange cat quickly attracted the attention of a grumpy looking fellow who smelled like smoke. When Dominic took him home, Spark opened his mouth and told his new owner how things would be now that he was his roommate.
CURRENT STATUS Things pretty much progressed from there. Spark, for all his pranks, laziness and general mischief, genuinely likes Dominic and would never want anything to happen to him. He calls him "Boss" out of respect. He has an affinity for alliteration and, before it broke, hiding Dominic's crystal ball. Oh, and he loves fish. A lot.

Donovan and Miranda Deegan
| Spoiler: | | | DONOVAN & MIRANDA DEEGAN Donovan Deegan is an accomplished swordsman and a charming bard. Miranda Deegan is an Archmage of the Fifth Circle and headmistress of the School for Arcane Arts in Quiral. They have saved the world... and one another.
BRIEF HISTORY Miranda was the only child of Victor and Dora Deegan, two talented wizards. She was an immensely bright child who adored her parents and their gift for magic. She was thrilled to learn she had the capacity for magic as well, and as soon as she was old enough, enrolled in an academy. Miranda, who earned thick glasses early and looked rather boyish, never attracted much attention from her classmates. She buried herself in her studies, devouring everything she could about spells, arcane formulae, potions, wands, and so on. She excelled in class, but spent much of her childhood alone. Donovan was orphaned when he was a baby. He was found in the elven kingdom of ShaLandira, where a compassionate old elf took him in. To the long-lived elf, Donovan grew quickly. He was a spritely boy who loved to laugh, sing and dance around. This worked well for the old elf, since he was a retired musician and storyteller. Having no children of his own, he taught Donovan everything he knew about music, writing, storytelling, and fancy swordsmanship. When he was old enough, he was sent down the true path of the bard... wandering. Miranda was attending an advanced academy in Prontus when she met the wandering Donovan. She had grown into a tomboyish intellectual, fond of turtlenecks, long skirts, books and magic spells. He had grown into a dashing young man, fond of bright colors, big smiles, music and dancing. They hated one another at first sight. She saw him as a homeless hedonist with no ambitions or future. He saw her as a boring prude with no sense of fun or frivolity. They thought they'd never see one another again... but as luck would have it, Miranda was attending class in the city, and business was good for Donovan in Prontus, so they kept running into one another. In shops. In coffee houses. In Pixie Square. After a while, dirty looks turned to polite nods, polite nods turned to genuine greetings, and genuine greetings turned into friendship. They were almost complete opposites, but they clicked. Miranda needed Donovan's spontaneity and silliness. Donovan needed Miranda's common sense and intellect. They shared many adventures, and their fondness for one another blossomed. They taught each other many things... about friendship, compassion, trust, and eventually love. They were two lonely souls who had found their other half, and when they became one, there was no separating them. Their adventures and accomplishments are simply too numerous to count. They rode with the Kelsheen of the Western Plains. They've entertained the fabled Dragon Courts of the Misty Valley. They vanquished an ambitious Demon Lord, but lost a dear friend. They did battle with a chaos cult and visited one of the cornerstones of reality. They spoke with the world's first necromancer. They did battle with financial problems. They overcame arguments and lovers' spats. They became a recognized and respected team. They fell in love and married (Donovan, being an orphan, had no last name of his own, and took Miranda's family name). They had three very unique children. They defended their home against a devastating attack that changed their boys forever. They have tried to be the best parents they could. They rebuilt the slum city of Quiral into a center of learning. The list goes on and on. During it all, their love and need for one another has served as an example of dedication and affection for everyone who knows them.
CURRENT STATUS Donovan and Miranda currently reside in Quiral, where Miranda has founded her own magic academy. Their lives had fallen into a fairly peaceful routine until Lars Sturtz, father of Szark Sturtz, called on them for help. They left Quiral, where a wicked Infernomancer killed three students looking for Miranda! They saved Szark and Dominic, then sent the Infernomancer to a screaming, horrible fate. They're back in Quiral now, helping the school and students recover while another threat rears its chaotic head...

Nurse Pam
| Spoiler: | | | NURSE PAMELA CHAYLER Nurse Pamela Chayler is a doctor ordained by the Luanian Church. She runs the Healing House in the town of Barthis. She is a deeply religious and selfless woman, and has forged many friendships with the people who need her. Nurse Pam loves her simple life in Barthis. She is an important part of the community, and would not trade that for all the riches in the world.
BRIEF HISTORY Pamela Chayler has lived in the town of Barthis all of her life. Her parents were devout Luanians, and had close ties with the Healing House priest. She had a normal, uneventful childhood and helped at the Healing House whenever she could. One day, her parents were claimed by a tragic carriage accident. The priest was a doctor, but knew no white magic. He patched them up, but their injuries were too great. Pamela was orphaned. She turned to the teachings of the Luanian Church in her sadness, finding comfort in its words of peace, forgiveness and the everlasting circle of life. Under the guidance of the old doctor priest, she donned the robes of a nurse and the medallion of a Luanian priestess. She was instructed in the ways of medicine and the scriptures of the faith. She attempted on more than one occasion to learn white magic, but the ability was just not within her. It haunted her for a while, and she entertained thoughts of mediocrity and inadequacy. By the time the old priest passed away a few years later, Nurse Pam had surpassed her teacher's skill as a doctor, and swore to continue his duty as a healer. There has been little that Nurse Pamela could not deal with. Broken bones, severe wounds and other terrible injuries were all patched up by her skilled hands. The community of Barthis came to recognize her skill in the "old-fashioned ways" of treating injuries, and she won a great deal of respect from them, as well as the mayor. She denied every offer from the Luanian churches to teach her skills elsewhere. Her home, and her heart, remained in Barthis. Barthis was turned upside down when it was revealed that a terrible cult planned to murder half the town! Nurse Pam tried in vain to help one of their victims, but the injuries were far beyond her mundane skills. She watched white magic accomplish what she could not, and doubt threatened to shake her faith once more...
CURRENT STATUS Nurse Pamela Chayler has developed her first crush. The spritely and helpful Gregory Deegan, a white mage of immense power who helped save her town, has taken up residence in her Healing House. He is eager to learn what she can teach him about medicine, and she is eager to teach him all about anatomy.

Jacob Deegan
| Spoiler: | | | JACOB DEEGAN Jacob Deegan is a necromancer of unspeakable skill. He loves death, and is fascinated by its promise of peace. He is the oldest of the three Deegan brothers, but he is dead to them. He does not mind. Jacob's arm has been consumed by the Blight of the Undead, and it is spreading through the rest of his body.
BRIEF HISTORY There was always something different about Jacob Deegan. The first child born to Miranda and Donovan Deegan, Jacob was a quiet child who disliked sunlight and laughter. He rarely cried, even when he was hurt. He would often stare at scrapes and bruises, rather than shed tears or fight back. There was something very, very unsettling about him, and most children just left him alone. He seemed disinterested at best when his little brother, Dominic, was born. The two of them never, ever got along. He only ever smiled when his youngest brother, Gregory, was born. Jacob was fascinated with death. He would be found wandering the cemetery near his house, staring at tombstones and contemplating fresh graves. He kept a collection of dead things in his room, some preserved, some not. No one knows why he was obsessed with the end of life, but it worried his parents endlessly. When a necromancer came to the Deegan home to kill the family, Jacob really started smiling. He grinned and laughed at the walking corpses. He was exhilirated by their simplicity, their single-minded purpose in undeath, and the undeniable power necromancy promised. It was as though new life was breathed into the young boy as the zombies tore through his house and threatened to murder his family. He was smiling when Gregory became infected with the Blight of the Undead. Now he knew how to study death. The black arts of necromancy were calling to him. No one knows where he learned it. No one knows if anyone taught him, or how he found the method to control the Blight of the Undead, a dark essence of necromancy. It was only a few years later that he decided to test his newfound powers on his most trusting subject... his happy little brother, Gregory. He attempted to bless his youngest sibling with the single-minded bliss of undeath by enveloping him in the Blight, but his experiment was halted by Dominic and his parents. He knew he was no longer a Deegan. He was dead to them, though Gregory still loved him. He disappeared into the darkness that night, and they did not bother to chase after him.
CURRENT STATUS Jacob has mastered necromancy, and his once-black hair has begun to turn white. He is looking to take the dark arts to new levels within himself. He has absorbed the Blight of the Undead into his own body. He views himself as enlightened, seeking to rid himself of excess and want, to be as simple a representation of death as a skeleton. There was always something wrong with Jacob Deegan...

| Szark Sturtz
| Spoiler: | | | SZARK STURTZ Szark Sturtz is a skilled swordsman who has killed many, many people. He was wounded by a Demon Lord as a child, and he still suffers from its perverse effects. He desperately seeks redemption for his past evils.
BRIEF HISTORY Szark Sturtz was always a little strange. His mother died when he was very young, and his father, while a good and loving man, was a successful banker who spent much time away on business. He was left to his own devices for many years and had no one to speak to about the odd desires growing within him. He was not entirely without playmates, however, and often fenced with them using sticks and toy swords. He never lost a "duel," and found himself strangely fascinated with his playmates' "deaths" when they lost. It was a strange sensation that he really, really liked. He practiced with his toy swords whenever he could, so he would be sure to watch the boys and girls do their death scenes whenever he defeated them. It was growing into an obsession. He asked his father for fencing lessons. Szark was a fast learner, who blended established technique and form with his own childhood routines. He practiced every day for hours on end, imagining his playmates' act out their dramatic demises on the end of his blade. Luckily, Szark was a smart boy and never considered actually killing another person. While learning swordplay, he was also taught the ideals of chivalry, nobility, etiquette and honor. It was the play and drama that amused and fascinated him, though he was still too young to understand why. When Szark's father became friends with Donovan and Miranda Deegan, Szark met their three sons, Jacob, Dominic and Gregory. Jacob was too cold and unsettling to approach. Gregory was too young to relate to, and his handicap was an unpleasant distraction. He bonded with Dominic rather quickly, however. Szark was intrigued by Dominic's intellect, and Dominic with Szark's chivalry. Unbeknownst to Dominic, Szark began to have strange feelings for the middle Deegan... the same he had when he looked at girls, or when he watched his playmates' "die" during their duels. Szark was happy with his newfound friend, but more confused than ever. One day, while Szark was visiting Dominic, they were attacked by a vile Demon Lord! Szark received a terrible wound before Miranda banished the demon. Szark was treated by the best white magicians his father could afford, but nothing could seem to close the wound. It remained open and bleeding... and has never closed. Szark was bed-ridden for weeks, overcome by searing pain and agonizing dreams. His father spent a fortune on cures, but nothing could close the wound. Eventually, Szark found the strength to stand and decided that if no cure could be found, he would conquer it himself. Szark threw himself into his fencing studies. He was in great pain and had become quite fragile, but he would let nothing stop him from becoming a swordsman. He developed techniques that kept his wound away from his opponent and learned to move economically, so as not to further aggravate his injury. To his teachers' shock, he was actually improving faster than before. The wound had not broken him. It had motivated him... but at a terrible price. Szark found his thoughts lingering on the strange feelings and desires he had suppressed in the name of nobility and chivalry. His reputation as a swordsman was growing, but he moved to Erossus, a notoriously sinful city, to explore old feelings that he was now embracing. He threw himself into Erossus' seedy culture, bedding with men, women, and often both. During a complicated evening involving too much liquor and words, he was challenged to a duel to the death by an offended man. Szark was scared and exhilirated at the same time. The man never stood a chance, and before he knew what he had done, Szark killed the duellist where he stood. And then, miraculously, the pain from his wound subsided. He had discovered a dark and, under Erossus duelling laws, legal cure for the perpetual pain inside him. Killing. It was not long afterwards that he met Amelia Travoria, an enchantress who tried to put him under her spell. To his shock, her magic had no effect on him. He would have killed her right then and there had she not promised him more duellists. He took her up on her offer, and sure enough, more and more duellists were challenging him to the death... and every last one of them died for his dark pleasure. He gained their money, their swords... and eventually married the enchantress. Through it all, he wrote polite letters to the one boy who had been nothing but a true friend to him. Dominic.
CURRENT STATUS Szark was having fun with Amelia and Celesto Morgan when he was reunited with his boyhood friend. After a terrible murder plot was uncovered, Szark came face-to-face with his own dark desires. He realized how far he had fallen from his days as a chivalric young boy, and it shook him to the core. He is doing everything within his power to atone for his dark indulgences, and hopefully redeem himself in the eyes of his father and his dear Dominic.

Siggy
| Spoiler: | | |
"SIGGY" Lord Siegfried Gunther Aern Damaske von Callan is a Royal Knight of Callan. He loves to fight. He has an infamous temper and an eagerness to mete out justice as quickly and brutally as possible. He has no tolerance for thieves. Lord Siegfried is a good man, but stubborn. He has hurt many people who did not deserve it, and is trying to redeem his past deeds.
BRIEF HISTORY Lord Siegfriend Gunter Aern Damaske von Callan was born into a family that fights. The Damaske family has always produced fine men and women to serve in the ranks of the Royal Knights of Callan, the honored peacekeepers and enforcers of justice in the kingdom. Despite the pressure of such a strong tradition behind his family, Siegfried denies that he was forced to join the ranks of the Knights. He proudly states that he made the choice for himself and earned the right to carry the Sword of a Royal Knight. Some say that he embraced the ideals of justice a little too eagerly. He learned to fight at an early age and hasn't stopped. He was taught that mankind has the capacity for great evil, and great evil must be met with swift justice and retribution. Such was Siegfried's code of honor, though some say it became a little warped with his natural temper. Many, many deeds became "great evils" in Siegfried's eyes, and he hurt many people far more than they deserved. Where other Royal Knights learned the art of diplomacy, Siegfried ignored it altogether. "I am a man of action, not words." His first solo mission was a call for aid from a village near Aberthast Cathedral. He stopped by the sacred place to pray for fortune in battle. While he was there, he met a beautiful and devout priestess named Lady Jayden and her exotic companion, Lord Milov Danovich. He convinced them to come with him to the village, to help the people while he dealt with the threat of nearby orcs. They agreed to help him in his quest, and the three became fast friends, forming a bond of honor. Not long after his return to the Royal Knights, he was "insulted" by a wandering swordsman of great skill. He challenged the swordsman to a duel, and was quickly bested in the middle of the street, for all to see. He was humiliated and enraged, and vowed to track down the swordsman and slaughter him! His superiors convinced him to stay his hand, and to instead seek the consultation of a seer...
CURRENT STATUS Lord Siegfried has beaten the crap out of Dominic Deegan since they met. He brought justice to the corrupt Travoria family. He beat Gregory Deegan with his own walking stick. For a while, it seemed as though Siggy's bloodlust was only getting worse. A number of defeats has humbled him, both at the hands of Luna Travoria and the lost Deegan. Like most lessons for the Royal Knight, it had to be beaten into him, but now he has seen the error of his ways and is trying to make amends for his behavior.

Milov
| Spoiler: | | | LORD MILOV DANOVICH Lord Milov Danovich is a Spellwolf, a rare breed of werewolf that can only wield magic in its "wolfman" form. He is a sensible, intelligent, noble man who believes in justice and honor. Milov is deeply in love with Lady Jayden, and would give anything to protect her.
BRIEF HISTORY Werewolves are a breed of creature in the Winter Archipelago. They are considered sacred guardians of the earth and caretakers of the land itself. It is of no wonder that many of the noble families in the Archipelago are werewolf clans. Among the werewolves, a special blessing is often visited upon a child that grants him or her the ability to wield great magic in their hybrid form. Lord Milov Danovich was one such child. A Spellwolf. The blessing of a Spellwolf quickly elevated the status of the tiny Danovich clan, and their rule was respected their island, Ruvnacheh. Milov proved to be the very epitome of a Spellwolf. His magic was strong, his intentions noble, and his heart was with the land. He encouraged his family to further the ideals of education, tolerance and justice. The more traditional eyes of the Archipelago frowned upon the Danovich family's new idealism, but Milov has helped to guide his island into a small renaissance. The growth in learning attracted the attention of the Luanian church, and they asked to build a small temple there. While not an evangelical religion, the Danovich family was reluctant to bring another religion onto their island. Milov wished to learn more of the mainland faith and convinced his family to allow the church to be built. The Luanian priests were grateful and respected the old traditions of the Archipelago. Milov spent many days there, learning new things and listening to stories of the Callan mainland. He was such an aid to the priests that they asked him to travel to their sacred Aberthast Cathedral, as a special guest at the annual ordainment ceremonies. Milov was thrilled to go to the mainland! His family was reluctant, but ultimately supportive. He loved the mainland, and he loved the serene beauty of the grand Aberthast Cathedral. During the ordainment ceremony, he saw the most beautiful woman in the world. She was a young Luanian priestess, and his heart skipped a beat when he saw her. She introduced herself as Lady Jayden. Over the next year, while she performed her duties as a priestess, she told him stories of her adventures on the mainland. He found her fascinating, and she was taken by his honest heart. It was not long before the two were lovers. She did not batt an eyelash when he revealed to her that he was a Spellwolf. Not long after, the two were introduced to a Royal Knight of Callan, the brash and headstrong Lord Siegfried. The young knight had been called to aid a village in distress, and Milov readily accepted the call to help. With Jayden by his side, the three of them saved the village and formed a close bond of friendship and honor.
CURRENT STATUS Lord Milov Danovich loves Lady Jayden with all his heart. He is a sensible man who believes in law and justice. Despite his heritage as a sacred defender, he dislikes violence and avoids it whenever he can. Milov is more than capable of protecting those he loves, and has stood toe-to-toe with a foe of unspeakable darkness. He spends equal time on the mainland and at Ruvnacheh, helping Jayden with her duties and performing his own at home.

Jayden
| Spoiler: | | | LADY JAYDEN Lady Jayden is a priestess of the Luanian Church and a talented white mage. She is kind, generous and pious. Her heart is full of divine joy, and she readily shares it with others. Her love for God and the Luanian teachings is matched only by her love for Lord Milov Danovich.
BRIEF HISTORY Lady Jayden was born and raised in a Luanian church. Her parents were both devout priests, and were thrilled when their daughter declared her wish to be ordained. They were doubly blessed when, during the course of her studies, she discovered she had the capacity to wield the benevolent spells of white magic. Lady Jayden was excitedly transferred to another church, where the spellcasting priests could tutor her in the ways of the priesthood and guide her newfound magic. During this time, she befriended the youngest daughter of the Travoria family, a deformed and sad girl named Luna. She had no friends, but a brilliant mind and a big heart. Jayden quickly formed a friendship with the girl, out of both duty and compassion. They spent many days together, until Jayden was called to be ordained at the sacred Aberthast Cathedral. Jayden bid a sad goodbye to her friend and vowed they would meet again. At her ordainment, there was an exotic young man in attendance. He was the son of a nobleman from the Winter Archipelago in the north. Her heart skipped when their eyes met, and he introduced himself as Milov Danovich. Over the next year, while she performed her duties as a priestess, the young nobleman shared his stories of adventure, intrigue and learning far to the north. She found him fascinating, and he was taken by her goodness. It was not long before the two were lovers. She did not batt an eyelash when he revealed to her that he was a Spellwolf. Not long after, the two were introduced to a Royal Knight of Callan, the brash and headstrong Lord Siegfried. The young knight had been called to aid a village in distress, and Lady Jayden readily accepted the call to help. With Lord Milov by her side, the three of them saved the village and formed a close bond of friendship and honor.
CURRENT STATUS Lady Jayden loves Lord Milov with all of her heart. When she is not performing her duties at the Aberthast Cathedral, she goes with him to the Winter Archipelago, where she helps the fledgling Luanian churches there. She is, first and foremost, a servant of God and an agent of divinity. Though her faith was recently shaken by an encounter with a foe of unspeakable darkness, her piety is unbreakable. She is selfless and indiscriminate in her goodness.

| The Infernomancer (Tim)
| Spoiler: | | | THE INFERNOMANCER "The Infernomancer" used to have a name. He threw it away along with his humanity. He is a black-hearted, psychotic murderer. He is irredeemably evil and revels in his darkness. He is staggeringly afraid of his own death, and has sold his soul for a level of immortality.
BRIEF HISTORY No one knows who the Infernomancer was before he sold his soul to Lord Karnak, the Demon of Wounds. No one knows his true name, nor how he found the forbidden rituals of infernomancy. It is as though the remains of his past life were burned away by the fires of Hell, leaving only a nameless and heartless murderer who would dare to betray the very Demon Lord who granted him his terrible power. As far as anyone can tell, the Infernomancer is immune to normal wounds. They cannot kill him, but they remain open and bleeding until he is exposed to fire. Flames somehow close his open wounds. There are two wounds, however, that will never remain completely shut. His eyes, the price of Lord Karnak's power. These are the wounds that will always reopen, even when healed by the familiar element of Hell itself. It is rumored that the nameless Infernomancer grew tired of the Demon Lord's price, and went to the Crescent Star Lake to drink the blood of a mystical dryad. It would be part of a dark ritual that would release him of his contract to Lord Karnak, while keeping the Demon Lord's measure of immortality. There was a surprise waiting for the treacherous Infernomancer and his hired barbarian...
CURRENT STATUS It's a well-known fact that Gregory Deegan blasted the Infernomancer straight into Hell after he nearly killed Dominic Deegan. There are rumors, however, that the nameless devilman has clawed his way out of the Abyss...

Stunt and Bumper
| Spoiler: | | | STUNT and BUMPER "Stunt" is a thief and a misogynist. He is famous for his rooftop robberies and has no qualms about killing. "Bumper" is a polite pickpocket. He will greet you with smiles and compliments as he relieves you of your belongings. Despite their differences, Stunt and Bumper are best friends who share a hatred for their arch-nemesis, Dominic Deegan.
BRIEF HISTORY If Stunt and Bumper have real names, they aren't telling anyone. The criminal duo have been going by their nicknames since they met in a back alley, somewhere in a poor village on the outskirts of Callan's borders. Stunt has hated women for as long as anyone can remember. He claims a woman murdered his mother, and his father ran off soon afterwards. Bumper, on the other hand, has always been polite and courteous to the fairer sex. Some say it's his natural semashi charm. Others say it's because he likes to get close to women as he robs their purses. No one knows if the stories are true, but somehow the two of them have always survived as a team. Their nicknames are representative of their style. Stunt is far more acrobatic than Bumper, and prefers rooftop robberies and knife-point muggings. He's killed a few people in his day, but so far it's been other underworld types and other kinds that the authorities would want dead anyway. Bumper, of the dark-skinned semashi people to the west, uses his natural charm to put his victims at ease while his deft fingers relieve them of their valuables. He has never killed anyone, but has hurt a great deal of people. Stunt and Bumper became more confident with their small-time robberies and decided to move on to "bigger pastures." They picked the well-to-do town of Lynn's Brook and moved their operations there, claiming the road to the Crescent Star Lake as "their own" along the way. They met with success, until they learned of a seer on the outskirts of town. They picked him as their next target, and quickly made a powerful, grumpy enemy.
CURRENT STATUS Stunt and Bumper have yet to "one-up" Dominic Deegan. Even when they appear to catch him unprepared, Luna Travoria has always been there to save him from their wicked intentions. They've been on quite an unlucky streak lately. They were caught by Lord Siegfried, nearly killed by the raging servant of the Infernomancer, and just recently imprisoned in a Sin City dungeon. No one can really figure out how they manage to escape every time. Who knows if their luck will ever change?

Rachel
| Spoiler: | | | RACHEL HART Rachel Hart is a powerful mercenary and grappler. She has a very "modern" sense of fashion and loves to give people makeovers. She likes to break things with her face.
BRIEF HISTORY Rachel Hart has always been a big girl. She was "the fat kid" when she was a child, and was picked on for her size. Her parents, seeing their daughter's plight, encouraged her to stick up for herself, love her body, and never let anyone put her down for how she looked. Rachel listened to her parents, but did not love her body. So she decided to do something about it. After years of intense exercise, a ridiculously healthy diet and three waitressing jobs, Rachel Hart had sculpted her body into an athletic masterpiece. One day, in the schoolyard, she saw some bigger kids beating up a younger classmate. She saw herself in his shoes and decided to help him. Before she knew what was happening, the bullying escalated into a full-blown brawl. Rachel had never been in a fight before, but she was surprised at how good she was at it! In fact, she was a natural! Their punches barely registered, and she pounded those lousy bullies into the dirt. As luck would have it, a scout for the Grapplers' League had spotted the fight, and he knew talent when he saw it. He immediately approached young Rachel with an offer to attend a grapplers' academy. The decision changed her life forever. Rachel trained with the best grapplers in the county, and a few veterans even learned a thing or two from her homemade training regiment. They were all impressed with how well her body could take punishment, and even made a game out of breaking objects over her! One unfortunate incident with a set of cutlery resulted in the signature "X" scar on her cheek. She learned quickly, and was soon fighting in the Grapplers' League! Rachel Hart was very successful as a grappler and made a good living, but she found herself bored during the off-season. She moved to the town of Lynn's Brook and made her muscle for hire. The local bar hired her as a bouncer. She was settling into a routine, grappling for one half of the year and beating up troublemakers for the other. The townspeople liked her, both for her fighting prowess and her unique fashion sense, which she claims she acquired after wearing many outrageous costumes in the Grapplers' League. One day, the mayor asked her to keep an eye out on a new resident. A seer, Dominic Deegan, had bought the house on the outskirts of town, and no one wanted trouble. Rachel paid the reclusive oracle a visit and found herself strangely attracted to the scrawny intellectual. She'd spent so much time with muscle-bound men that she found him intriguing, and basically seduced the pants off of him. They were an odd pair, but they didn't last long. The split was less-than-friendly, but she managed to keep in touch with the seer's little brother, Gregory. They became fast friends, and have been making fun of Dominic behind his back ever since.
CURRENT STATUS Rachel Hart hasn't changed much since that day in the schoolyard. She still gives makeovers, kicks butt in the Grapplers' League does odd jobs in the off-season. She recently aided Gregory in a confrontation with some players from the Slaughterball League, but otherwise she's still the same old Rachel.

The Dryad and Dirk and Mighty
| Spoiler: | | | THE DRYAD and DIRK THE MIGHTY "The Dryad" is a fey of the forest. Her very life force is linked to the trees around Crescent Star Lake. Dirk the Mighty is presumably a fey. He can transform himself into a tree ogre at will. Nobody knows why he keeps his right eye shut all the time. Dirk loves The Dryad with all his heart and would readily break anyone who threatened her. The Dryad does not seem to mind her beau's vigilance.
BRIEF HISTORY The mysterious and beautiful forest fey known only to a few mortals as "The Dryad" is the favored one of the Sylvan Oracle. She has roamed the trees that surround the Crescent Star Lake for generations. With her very soul tied to the well-being of the trees, she does all that is within her power to keep the forest safe. It has been said that The Dryad can make the trees themselves move, and that she can walk the paths that the ancient roots have carved far into the earth. The Dryad knew she was being watched, however. There was another inhabitant of her forest that had been trying to capture her affections for many moons. He was a small, strange creature that called himself Dirk the Mighty. On the outside, he was harsh and tough like the bark of a tree. On the inside, The Dryad knew him to be as soft as a flower's petals. While she is a powerful creature of the woods, but she is not invincible. A terrible Infernomancer came to the Crescent Star Lake to murder The Dryad. He and his barbarian cut down many trees, which in turn sliced into her very heart. Dirk the Mighty rescued her from certain death and sought the aid of the Sylvan Oracle. The omnipotent fey had him seek the aid of a nearby traveler, one Gregory Deegan. Soon, others joined in the fight to save The Dryad and defeat the Infernomancer!
CURRENT STATUS The Dryad is safe once again, healed by the magic of the Sylvan Oracle. She at last recognized Dirk's affections and he could not be happier, though he still rarely smiles. They, along with the all-seeing eye of the Sylvan Oracle, protect the trees of the Crescent Star Lake with renewed fervor.

Celesto
| Spoiler: | | | CELESTO MORGAN Celesto Morgan is gifted with second sight. He can see the past, the future, and anywhere in the present. He is a complex, lonely man who has done many regretful things. He loves knowledge and relishes the power it provides.
BRIEF HISTORY Celesto Morgan has always been alone. He was not an orphan, but his parents resented and neglected him. They knew nothing of magic or second sight, and were of no help to him when he began having visions. One night he foresaw his father falling asleep with a lit pipe, and their house burning down. Celesto, having never received any love or affection from his parents, kept the secret to himself as he packed his bags and left home. His parents died screaming in the blaze that night as he wandered into an uncertain future. With no money and minimal training with his second sight, Celesto became a drifter, taking odd jobs to earn money for magic lessons and arcane tomes. He taught himself to control his visions and began telling fortunes. He quickly realized how valuable information was to some people, so he directed his second sight towards more ambitious targets. Celesto blackmailed several important figures in various cities, and used his foresight to avoid retribution from his victims. He made many enemies, but gained respect as an informant. Soon, both law enforcement and criminals alike were seeking his aid, and both sides paid well. He learned that the most powerful weapon in the world was not violence... but knowledge. While Celesto was financially satisfied, his soul was strangely empty. While many respected him, no one liked him. He had never experienced honest affection or friendship, so he began to seek it out. Years of solitude and dealings with criminals had done little to improve his social skills. He could have used his visions to impress people, to say what they wanted to hear, but he knew it would be fake. He needed someone, anyone, to know him and like the man, not the power. No one liked the man, but everyone respected the power. He felt like little more than an empty vessel for a useful gift. Depressed and alone, he vanished from the underworld scene. Celesto took his money to Erossus, the notorious city of sins. He embraced the fact that no one would like him for who he was, so he indulged himself in women who did not even respect his power, but only his money. During his time in Erossus, he discovered he liked the company of men as well, and used his earnings to buy their affections. He embraced his bisexuality and lost himself in the sinful pleasures of the seedy city. When money ran low, he used his visions to tell fortunes. It was during one of his fortune-telling sessions that he met an enchanting and stunning young woman named Amelia Sturtz, the Pleasure Princess of Sin City. She spoke to him as an equal. She recognized his talents, both as a seer and as a clever survivor. She respected his ability to survive on his own, and how he earned power and respect without lifting a finger to hurt anyone. For the first time, Celesto felt as though someone was speaking to him. As though someone was interested in the man, and not the power. His heart leapt out to Amelia, perhaps too quickly, and she introduced him to her husband, Szark Sturtz. Celesto received a terrible vision then, but Amelia put his fears to rest and told him of her desire to have her husband killed. He was a terrible, murderous hedonist that the world would not miss. As she respected him, she needed his help. He would help this gorgeous woman, who knew him and cared for him, rid the city of a man who only cared for death and his own pleasure. For the first time in a long time, Celesto felt as though his life had meaning, and his power had purpose.
CURRENT STATUS Celesto is depressed and alone again. Amelia is gone and Szark still lives, better than before. He blames the meddling Dominic Deegan and the moronic Stunt and Bumper, who committed an unspeakable act. Recently, a woman from chaos cult known as The Chosen has approached him with an offer of greater power and revenge. With nothing left but a desire for justice burning in his heart, Celesto has cast his lot with them as their Champion of Chaos and Darkness.
