| I apologize if the counter-points I have been offering seemed aggressive. Over the internet, it can be difficult to convey tone, but I was most certainly not trying to attack you or your opinions. I was simply trying to civilly argue my point. I'm sorry, and I hope we can keep the debates friendly in the future.

| You know, this forum tends to have more misunderstandings based on tone than others I frequent. You guys should use emotes more frequently, or something.

That -COULD- feasably work till we get bigger. Then people are going to butt heads more often than anyone will care to see. Except that you're attacking it now, which was never done on the old Keenspot forum, so maybe there is hope, so long as both sides are respected and equally kicked in the bum.
I say you just keep posting with that lovable HUK THAK!! "=D" thing, and everyone will eventually have to love everyone else. Except me. I'll still be sitting in the corner, murmuring about how people don't actually WORK like the way they're written sometimes, and how GODDAMN sick of Orcs in this comic I be. Seriously, besides the various morals shoved down my throat, I can't think of any worse offenders in this lovable webcomic. Except maybe one of these future races. But then we had that HUK THAK!! "=D" guy....so maybe not.

| I haven't checked the forums in a while and I got only one thing to say.
Waldo is known as Charlie in french. All my childhood I knew him as Charlie since I had a few books of "Oł est Charlie?", until I found the crappy videogames about him.

| T.O.: Honestly? I'm not worked up, or agitated, or whatever other emotions you seem to be perceiving. Like you, I've simply been stating my own opinion, which happens to differ from yours. I don't find this particular set of events to be outside the bounds of plausibility; you apparently do. I'm certainly no rabid Mookie-booster; my own rips on Dominic's "A Wizard Did It" speech have been fairly critical and unflinching, I think.
Looking over your post, apparently the word "harping" triggered some of the reaction; sorry for that. It really does have a stronger connotation than I meant to apply to that sentence.
Now, as to your list of points, I'm going to pick one strip in particular:

Note that Gregory seems to be landing between the Chosen's Infernomancer and Snowsong, as he was about to start "Checking for survivors." So he's going to be focusing on the person closest to him--Snowsong.
Is it enough to make it a certainty that he would recognize her several months later? No, but it does, in my opinion, push it well within the bounds of plausibility.
Final note:
I tend to use emoticons sparingly, because quite honestly, if I'm posting to someone and not being outright insulting, it generally signifies that I regard the person as worth talking to. There are boards I frequent that have posters I don't bother addressing, generally, because they rarely have anything worth replying to. You definitely do not fit into that category.
I wouldn't mind a change to the board that gave everyone's sig the HUK THAK! icon, though. That would rock.
PS: Speaking of sigs, Rhea, what's the text in that image in yours? I can make out the first line, but after that, it gets too washed-out. |
