| Ugh.... another reason that the college system is flawed. They stuff so much useless filler crap into degrees, and they get surprised when people go for the low work classes. _________________

| I hope you aren't opting for a low work class. _________________

| Oh, I am - simply because the classes I'm taking right now are useless in the long run. What use does an accountant/business major have for abnormal psychology or political science??? _________________

Given the ties between the economic and political systems, the class is even more important for political science. _________________

| I'd rather see colleges (and high schools, actually) run more like vocational schools, where you actually learn what you want/need to learn in order to perform your chosen career. But then there would be thousands of people with English and Math degrees with no jobs. _________________

| That, and in all likelyhood your not going to be in the same career forever so whatever you learn can be useful at a later point. _________________

| Well it's partially his students fault, but also it's lazy students fault. _________________

| | You'd think more people would want to become archmages. Isn't the seer thing a requirement for that? Unless someone else is teaching the same class as Dominic? It seems silly that no one else would be interested in becoming an archmage. Even if it is hard work. |

| Anyone who wants to avoid a class because it's too hard probably doesn't have what it takes to be an archmage anyway. Put another way, I don't find it any more unbelievable that no one wants to be an archmage than that there's no one who isn't turned away by a hard class. _________________ Tea and Biscuits |

| I can't believe that in all the freacking time they were in the class, they didn't actually let it slip that it was as rewarding as they are making it out to be.
If Dominic's class was so hard I'd imagine that the Headmaster would actually investigate the merits of it. And really, no one wants to have second sight? You got to be kidding me there. |

A good question Maulkin. The best answer to it is "because it will expand your knowledge," which, translated into more practical terms, means, "You never know if you'll need it later."
After the class you will know more, and generally that is regarded as a good thing. _________________ You and your friends are dead.

Then I could take a different business class. But the fact remains, it is all but useless for an accountant to know the workings of the national political system (the only thing that really even touches on it is Congress, and we've discussed that already), and there's no useful purpose for abnormal psychology. _________________
