Siggy was tolerable, and even said before the War in Hell arc (right after SoS somewhere) that he was going to work on being a better person, and was helping rebuild Barthis.
Then for some reason he shows up in the war in hell arc a racist bigot. It was something that was done for plot reasons. This has been discussed a thousand times, the dude was demonized for the sake of plot, and so it would make perfect sense for him to go to hell.
He was needlessly violent, though. He said he was seeking help for it, and he comes back 3 times more violent? ...Huh?
Last I checked, arrogance isn't a reason to go to hell.
The violent beatings were presented in a comedic light before. I can definitely understand this one. Supposedly he was to seek help and be redeemed, but that never happened, cause Mookie needed to send someone to hell.
Are Milov and Jayden married? From what Jayden is suggesting, she went to him, and he always loved her. Nature took its course, and Siggy goes to hell for it? Sure, he'd be stabbing Milov in the heart, but if she ran to Siggy, chances are Milov was being a dick, and likely deserved a smackdown.
I've been reading a lot of posts that quote war in hell crap as evidence that Siggy deserved to go to hell. Well, I'll throw this right back atcha. Does Stonewater deserve to go to hell? Sure he does! He raped Melna. |

| But Stonewater repented a long time ago. Siggy was murdering and killing to the very last breathe. Most religions have some way of atonement, and unless slaughtering you own comrades and beating the shit out of your alleged friend is tolerable by Luanian standards, then Siggy pretty much got what he deserved.
Arrogance might not get you in hell, but arrogance + murdering your fellow man sounds good to me. Even if he wasn't a racist, he still was an violent bastard who chose to murder the men under his command. If he doesn't qualify for hell, I'm not sure who does then.
Maybe he did look for help. Maybe it was Jayden. It's possible. She's after all a priestess and a close friend. I can see Jayden telling Siggy that he didn't need any help and was fine the way he was. I would prefer this to some sexual amorality. Seems a bit cliche.

| Iron King: Heh. I kind of like that theory, actually--the notion that Jayden is basically blaming herself because she had the chance to set things right, but didn't do it because of willful blindness to Siggy's capacity for evil deeds.
And Siggy had promised, and failed, to try to do better before, remember. He apologized after the first Dominic beat-down, then came back and did it again. That suggests that Siggy's repentence was little more than skin-deep, unless Iron King's theory pans out. |

Someone can say they're going to get help for being an alchoholic, fail miserably and come back worse. This isn't so unusual.

Comedic light for the readers not withstanding, Siggy's nature was violent to the core. If he ever sought help, it didn't do him any good.

There's a difference there though. Stonewater repented his sins, and more importantly HAS NOT REPEATED THEM. Siggy said he was sorry, and kept being unnecessarily violent and brutal. One changed, the other didn't.

| Nope! Stonewater goes to hell. Because Siggy did repent, and was forgiven, on his deathbed. :P
And someone linked me earlier to evidence that Siggy was trying to change. It was during the Scarlatti bit. Siggy actually repented there, too. |

| You do know the idea of repenting is to not do it again yeah? Like homicidally going around hacking your own men's head off. And repentence requires atonement, doing something to prove that you have learnt the errors of your way. Getting last rites from your buddy who you smashed in the face doesn't count.

Judging by the naked Jayden pic, Sig's sort of obvious feelings for her and the new donater wallpaper, there is probably some sexual indiscretion going on between Jayden and Siggy. |

Additionally, I bet by the end of the arc someone will punch out the remaining teeth in Dominic's head (in anger), just so he can get a full set of false teeth. |

| All things withstanding hell doesn't seem to be a terribly bad place in the DD-verse, and Siggy's soul seems to be having an AWESOME time.
