| Book: John Dies at the End
Author: David Wong
Genre: SciFi Horror Dramedy
Favorite Line: "You're all just figments of John's Cock's imagination."
Recommendation: Anyone who enjoys Sci-Fi, horror, or a combination of both along with a 90 minute penis joke will love it. As will anyone with a sense of humor. The plot is kinda hard to follow, but that only adds to the surreal effect of the story. It's like the whole world is a dream. Which it may very well be. That's just how weird it is.

| Book: Genesis
Author: Bernard Beckett
Genre: Scifi/Philosophical
Favorite Line: "If you kill me, you kill me. Take my life if you must, just don't think you're getting my mind." - Adam Forde
Summary: Anaximander is undertaking an exam on her specialist topic: the Life of Adam Forde, the long-dead hero of her world. Through her gruelling examination of both Adam's life and the events surrounding it that led up to her futuristic world, she is forced to confront the reality of her own life and times.
Recommendation: If you like sci-fi, but also don't mind large dollops of philosophical questions (Can a machine think? Can it live? What is thought, what does it mean to be human? Are we defined by though?). The setting out of the story is intriguing, as you find yourself drawn to both Adam and Anaximander's interpretation of Adam's personality and actions. The ending completely blew my mind. I didn't see it coming from miles and miles away. Do not read the last few pages of the book before reading the rest of it.
Warnings: Ah... a robot? References to plague, but nothing too gooey.
...
I'm still not over the ending. |

| Book: An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom
Author: MeiLin Miranda (www.meilinmiranda.com)
Genre: Fantasy with the good bits left in
recomendation: MeiLin just finished the first book of her online novel and i thought people should know about it. I've been reading it since it first started a couple months ago and i'm hooked. Its the story of the comming of age of Prince Temmin and his studies. To say this story is erotic is underplaying it. Some chapters are so NSFW its not even funny.....but meilin doesnt write sex for sex's sake. It flows through the story enhancing the experience. This is a very well thought out fantasy novel and if you like that sort of thing hey its free to read! its not everyones cup of tea though. I found it through Pagesunbound.com and TalesofMU.com. _________________ Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. | I just well... had to revive this thread because I absolutely adore this book and just finished it this morning <33 Was a wonderful night's read :)
Book: The Twisted Citadel Author: Sara Douglass Genre: Fantasy Favourite Line: "The One walks north. Prepare for confrontation. Isaiah and Hereward meet with the glass man. Feed the pretty kitten."
Recomendation: If you love fantasy, then I really really suggest reading this series. Yes, it's a bit of a long hard slog through some of the previous... 9 books to get to reading this book, but all in all, the other books are just as enjoyable (there are a few parts of the previous books I really could have lived without). It really is a wonderful read and yeah <3 _________________

| I thought it was an excellent quote :D If it's anything, the character who read the quote in the book was extremely confused ^.^ _________________
