| Well, Heath Ledger is wearing make-up in order to be the Joker, but the Joker himself, no. All the pigmentation in his skin cells faded because he fell in a vat of chemicals. However, the same thing could have happened to Heath Ledger, and he has to wear make-up in order to look normal, and that's how he really looks without it in the trailer. _________________ "It's 104 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses." | It doesn't look right for that... the skin in the creases is healthy looking, making it just look like a bad job. The skin on his neck is normal too. _________________

| Well, maybe his face just got splashed with chemicals or something in this movie. I'm not sure how the creases can be healthy, but only the color in the skin cells was effected, so I don't think the creases matter. _________________ "It's 104 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses." | If they don't get him to look like a good joker then the movie will bomb, big time. _________________

| I watched the trailer again and I think he is either wearing make-up, or he was wearing his normal person's face make-up and the police wiped most of it off when he was brought into custody. _________________ "It's 104 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses." | | Yeah, I've seen that before and I'm interested to see how they pull it off. Most people I've talked to are hardcore fans of Jack Nicholson as the Joker (like myself =D) and they refuse to see this. I'm just curious as to how it'll work cuz I've only ever seen Heath Ledger in movies like Knight's Tale and 10 Things I Hate About You. |

| Nope, I'd say he has normal skin tone in the movie and is wearing makeup. In various scenes it's different level of smeared. I get the feeling that they're making him out to be flat-out psychotic, and the makeup is part of his break with reality. Heck, they revamped Batman's origin story for the last movie. It wouldn't be surprising that they'd redo the Joker's. Overall, I'm rather liking the look and sound of this Joker. I might even like him better than Nicholson's, although I'll have to see the full act. The laugh is marvelous, and I get more of a dangerous, unpredictable vibe off him. Although standing in the street with his head down didn't quite work as well for me. I dunno. _________________ The DM will do a lot of talking, but if he’s not rolling the dice then what he’s saying is probably not important.

| I never liked Jack Nicholson as Joker. He didn't seem....devious enough. He was way too goofy, and it felt like he was trying too hard at points. Has anyone seen the old Batman cartoon? The one in the 90's. The Joker in that cartoon was really sinister. That's how Joker should be. I think in the cartoon, Joker was voiced by Mark Hamill. Though I don't want to see him play Joker in the movie, I just thought he did a good Joker voice. He also appeared in some Justice League episodes. _________________ "It's 104 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses." | Yes, that was Mark Hamill. He had a marvelous take on the Joker, although the character was a bit hamstrung by the intended audience. He couldn't be vicious enough. _________________ The DM will do a lot of talking, but if he’s not rolling the dice then what he’s saying is probably not important.

| | So this is a Batman movie, yet the entire trailer is a "look at the Joker!" dance? Okay. Sure, the Joker's awesome and everything, but you think Batman would've featured more in the trailer, since the title does indicate its mostly about him. |

| Well, we've already seen Batman. Joker's the new guy, and his look has changed too, so we want to see him in action. _________________ "It's 104 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses." "Hit it."

| Yup. And they have to make a big deal of him, to clear out the Nicholson memories. _________________ The DM will do a lot of talking, but if he’s not rolling the dice then what he’s saying is probably not important.
