We've proven time and time again that characters in the Final Fantasy universe(s) either do not have internal organs, or they're made of adamantium. The fact she died in the first place was bullshit. I remember, the first time I played the game, leveling her to the high sixties before she died. She could take thousands of hitpoints of damage (including being run through by swords just as large as Sephiroth's) and not dying.
I'm partial to the idea she just faked it and is hanging with Zack, since he faked it, too.

Aeris is better off in pseudo dead land. I hated her. And why does everyone hate FF10 so much? It was one of my favorites. _________________ "Crazy? No, I'm sane. God am I sane."

Efficient.
By disk two, I had everyone at max level.
I fucking four hitted Sephiroth.
TWO FUCKING TURNS.
TWO.
Also, to answer Faceless, I hated 10 because it was fucking ridiculous. It had a retarded plot. I could care less about the gameplay of an RPG, if it doesn't have an orgasmic story, I'll hate it. _________________

Okay, first off, you're crazy. No way could I ever do that. You're a RPG god, Thalros. Second, I can't remember what the story for 10 was. _________________ "Crazy? No, I'm sane. God am I sane."

| I'm not crazy.
I'M BATSHIT MOTHER FUCKING INSANE.
When I play RPGs, I beat the shit out of them like a drunken trailer park husband beats his wife. I'm thorough about that shit. When I finished with Mass Effect, I left it weaping in the corner scared to death I'd come back and play through, again.
You don't even want to know what I did to Oblivion.
My philosophy with RPGs is that if the developers are gonna put that much time into the game, I'm going to enjoy every minute fucking second of their work. _________________

| Defeating in Penance in FFX is probably the most impressive thing I've done in a Final Fantasy, although I'm almost done with Yiazmat. _________________ You're about to die. Scream if you must. |

| I kept dying at Yunalesca in FFX so I quit. I later went and beat the final boss on someone else's file to see how the story ended.
| Spoiler: | | | WORST FINAL BOSS EVER. WTF YU YEVON?? Permanent Auto-Life on my whole party? All you do is sit there and heal yourself and your pillar thingies do lame weak attacks? Fighting my own Aeons was more difficult! As long as you have weapons that can break the 9999 barrier you can't lose! |
That said, my personal preference order:
6>9>12>4>Tactics>5>2>7>8>10>1>3>[11, CC, Tactics Adv.]
Otherwise, Black Mages are awesome, but I also generally listen to the originals more often, if for no other reason than I use them for gaming sessions and for when I'm writing and the Black Mages versions don't loop well.
Oh, and since we're talking Square anyway... Xenogears FTW. _________________

| In regards to Oblivion's spoiler.
| Spoiler: | | | Yeah the 'final' battle in FFX is a bit weak. Braska's Final Aeon is the only challenging part. But I think it was rather intentional as he's (Yu Yevon) hiding behind Aeons as much as he can and as soon as there are no Aeons to posses he dies like a little bitch I mean, doom works on him for crying out loud. Reminded me of the fight with Sephiroth at the end of 7 where it is pretty much impossible to lose. |

| Seymour should have been the final boss. As much as the rest of the game annoyed me, I frakking loved Seymour for some reason. _________________

| When I first beat ten and headed to the forums, all I did was see people complain about how hard it was to beat.
That was the first time I realized it wasn't normal to be max level by the time you witness the first sending... _________________

You all seem to forget the fact that FF battles take place in a different space. When you get into a random encounter, your characters are transported into a different world where the laws of the real world don't matter. I have evidence of this. First off, I refuse to accept that these monsters can just wander around the place unchallenged, I mean, these things are obviously major threats, and yet no one does anything about them! It's obvious they don't exist in our world. Secondly, it makes no sense that my tiny characters can hack and slash giant monsters to death. If these things are bigger than a house, then there's no way my tiny weapons can beat them just by hitting them repeatedly. Nextly, the characters amount of powerplaying is ridiculous(ly cool) because it seems to have no efect in real life situations. FF12 had the most crazy powerplaying due to the fact that my character's quickenings could freeze time, shatter space, and destroy practically everything in front of them with no explanation as to how they do it, and when they're attacks are finished, it's probably taken off a fifth of the boss' health at most. That's ridiculous. My final evidence to this is the fact that they have to wait until it's their turn to attack the enemy. And Aeris deserved to die. This was all part of the plan. If she had lived, I never would have made it through FF7. So that's my theory and the evidence that supports it. Any questions? _________________ "Crazy? No, I'm sane. God am I sane."
