I never got into Warhammer. Shit is overcomplicated, too much to remember. As DM, I can flip through one of my books and find exactly what I want. _________________

| I hate Warhammer 40k but Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay is a far better system than the current D&D set. _________________

| I'm annoyed at any kind of warhammer because that shit costs an arm and a leg. The again when all your company sells is a collectable figurine battle game I suppose you have to make them expensive.
ps. WOOT OBLIVION IS BACK! _________________

| The good thing about D&D is that you never truly need the figurines. I've made it ten years without ever needing to buy a single one. _________________

| I buy the figurines more for the novelty of saying "Hey look, it's (insert character's name here)!" but rarely use them for mapping or such as I own no maps and very few monster figurines. And I always buy my figurines from Reaper, as I know the wife of the owner.
And Hey Phoenix, nice to know I was missed _________________

That you were. Welcome back.
Oooo (Read DnD stuff) Man, yet more role play books to buy. I need to cut back on the amount of game stuff I buy. It's not like I have anyone to play table top RPGs with. Curse our lack of a gaming club here. _________________

If I were to run a play-by-post D&D game here, would anyone play how many of you would play? >_> *pardon the slightly off topic* _________________

But fighting with orkz and gaurd is fun ^^ _________________ You and your friends are dead.

I'll play ^.^. I'm most familiar with version 2.0 and upward. I've got expereince with most DnD things, including things like Forgotten Realms. Man a Shadow Run game would be awesome to play here too (general statement). _________________

| anyway - just the observations I've noted from 4E
first and foremost - the fact every character has a healing ability kinda throws me off, since before you would need a cleric or paladin in your party just to stay alive - however this may not be a bad thing, since not everyone enjoys being the dedicated healer.
second - the spells have been majorly improved in my opinion. 4E will only have wizards to start out with BUT they will have their spells split up into "on will" which you can use whenever you want, think of these as utility and cantrips. "per encounter" good old magic missile and "per day" your basic nuke and destroy everything in 30 yards. I'm not sure if this system is brought over to spell like abilities or not, but one can hope so because it does seem to make things easier then "ok, sit down ... I scribe 4 rays of frost, two magic missiles and a summon monster 1" and "ok, how many rages do I have left?"
Also - this means the day doesn't end when the wizard overdoes his spells in a single battle. Happy Day!
third - it seems like the first level characters are alot stronger in 4 then 3.5, I think this is what they were talking about balancing the game play so the "sweet spot" lasts from the beginning of the game into the end. So I'm curious as to how the level / ability curve will show |

| I find myself suspicious. It might be awesome... but it sounds very.... not D&Dish.... _________________ You and your friends are dead.

| Everything I've heard about it compares well to Tome of Magic (somewhat) and Book of Nine Swords, both expansions that my group absolutely loves... so that's typically what I think of when I try to imagine what it'll be like. _________________
