| It depends. Making a lot of music (one for every character) would take a long time however making all the characters and backgrounds and coding it all and getting the whole damn thing together is going to be a very long process. So If we only had say 12 tracks (Menu music, credits music, victory music, defeat music, 3 tracks for story mode, 4 battle tracks and a final battle track) I think they could easily get done before the rest of the g a m e is anywhere near finished. (This isn't a suggestion in anyway, just saying that if we don't have unique music for each character the g a m e wouldn't need a very large soundtrack.)
In short, I'm all for having original music and as long as we aren't going for something like 25+ tracks it should be reasonable achievable. _________________ You're about to die. Scream if you must. |

| I realize that most people might have a specific song already picked out, but a little trick I use with Guitar Hero 3 (and two and Rock Band) is that I could mute the crowd and vocals, and record any song instrumentally using a vidcard, then mix it for fight game pleasure. So if you liked The Devil Went Down to Georgia metal version by Steve Ouimette in GH3, I could rip it and mix it for your fighting theme pleasure.
Anyone? _________________

| Like, make your own music using the Guitar Hero guitar. Like, make a blank template, and play rather than follow a set of 'steps'. _________________

| nah, there is no such thing as that (for guitar hero or rockband, as far as I know) and while I have a guitar, I have no recording equipment of my own (for midi or guitar's at least).
The best I could do right now is take the instrumentals of the music from those games and remix them. (adding beats and such from FruityLoops, and effects from pinnacle) _________________

I have MIDI software and a USB keyboard... I figure this is as good a time as any to learn how to use it.... _________________

| then i suppose we have one character theme song done now? maulkin, maybe we should have a list depicting how has already got a particular theme done (also, we still need to determine if we are going to use originals only or not.) _________________ Hell Hath no fury like a woman you really shouldn't have slept with.
