| Based off of the version some people were playing the in another forum chat box, I present to you the Phoenix Write Roleplaying Game thread! Since I’m starting the thread, I’m going to be the wacky judge! I’ll provide (hopefully) witty comments and responses for the prosecution and defense. Please put your character’s name and occupation in this thread, like I am doing here. Please keep game only stuff in the Phoenix Wright RP Thread for CASE ONE The new thread for CASE TWO!

Name: “Judge Ann Jury” Occupation and Role in Case: Judge; Judge Characteristics (optional): Likes to use a whip sometimes. [Possibly a split personality?] History (optional): Has been a judge a long time. No one know much about Mrs. Jury's past.
Characters We Need: Defense Attorney, Prosecuting Attorney, Defendant, Witnesses (at least 1 though more would be nice)
Suggested Witness for CASE TWO: Security Guard
The most difficult role will likely be that of the investigator. They provide the list of evidence for the cases, can deliver addition evidence during the court proceedings (given importance of evidence established), give evidence to attorneys during the breaks, and have to take the stand about the crime scene or any other matters they know. If the investigator PMs me a list of evidence they want, I can even make the little evidence icons if they *really* want.
Another role that would be appreciated is a Co-Judge, so we can have responses to this thread sooner if one of us happens to be not online. I'll give my character a split personality if someone offers to do it, so just create as you would normally. It's not required though.
Notes About Posts:
1. Witnesses need to break up their testimony in to sections, but are encouraged to post their whole testimony in the post before the CROSS EXAMINATION. The back and forth of the should look something like this, though it will be more broken up by postings:
Example:
| Spoiler: | | | (Witness) 1. Well my friend, and I went to the beach. 2. It ended up raining though, so we couldn’t go sailing. 3. My friend left me to go buy an umbrella at a shop on the nearby pier because she had forgotten to bring hers
CROSS EXAMINATION
1. Well my friend, and I went to the beach. (Defense Attorney) [Press]"HOLD IT! Why did you go to the Beach?” ((Witness Clarifies)) "We wanted to go sailing." 2. It ended up raining though, so we couldn’t go sailing. (Defense Attorney) [Continue] 3. My friend left me to go buy an umbrella at a shop on the nearby pier, because she had forgotten to bring hers.” (Defense Attorney) “The victim was found with an umbrella” [Presents Evidence: Crime Scene Report] “It says here that the victim was holding onto an umbrella when found at the crime scene.” [And so on…]
(Judge): “Continue Your Testimony”
(Witness) 1. When she hadn’t come back in three hours I got worried 2. I went out of the hotel to look for her. 3. I noticed blood in the water when I got to the pier, so I investigated that area 4. I found her dead underneath the pier, with your client standing over her. |
2. Game Realism: The defense attorney and prosecuting attorney are encouraged to use for any time you object during CROSS EXAMINATION. It is also encouraged for you to write HOLD IT! as I just indicated.
People on the stand are encouraged to make their testimonies green during the CROSS EXAMINATION.
If you are another character and wish to interrupt the proceedings, IT IS ENCOURAGED FOR YOU TO WRITE LIKE THIS!
If you are found out to be the actual criminal, it is encouraged for you to write something like this (minus the spoiler) | Spoiler: | | | KAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! |
And so on.
About Game Play: I will come up with the basic set up of the case. It is up to the attorneys to tell me what really happened. It should be noted that the defense is encouraged to come up with extremely convoluted events that actually happened and is the reason that their client is innocent. Things will unfold as a case progresses, and you guys are going to have to wing it for the most part. Prosecutors may to your s with an alternate explanation of events, or to bring up the need for proof. The investigator must provide you with an Autopsy Report as well as a Crime Scene Report. Other than that, they can be as creative as they like with what items they give you as evidence that will become pertinent to the case. There will also be breaks during the case and they are free to make up more evidence for you to have if they wish to and you want it. Investigator, please make only 6 at maximum items for the attorney/attorneys to start the case with.
Special Rules For the Defense Attorney: Just like the real game, you will start out a case with a bar that I will assign a number to. You will have a total of 40 points. You can lose 5 points for ing for no reason. You can also lose 5 points for ing too much (subjective). When in doubt, [Press] with a HOLD IT! instead. The Judge may get fed up with you line of questioning and offer you an ultimatum to present one more piece of evidence to find something. If you fail to show the 'right' piece (just give a really good explanation), you'll lose 20 points. In rare cases, the judge can decide you will lose all your points if you don't prove the case and wrap things up with one last piece of irrefutable evidence (I doubt I will do this). If you do some how manage to reach zero points (unlikely) you will lose the case automatically, and I or the Co-Judge will start a new thread for the next case.
I will try to post as close to the game as well, so we can have a realistic atmosphere! So, post your characters, discuss questions, and suggestions/additions to the rules in this thread. Thanks guys! <3 This took forever to write up. _________________

| Since we have the three starting main characters, we can start if you guys wish. The investigator will be the first witness. If we cannot get a witness and a victim, I will play both of those parts. _________________

| *cracks knuckles* Heh heh, in that case....
Name: Marv Ellis Occupation: Prosecutor
Characteristics (optional): Wears a purple Lame' suit(you know, those glittery Vegas suits?), and has his blonde hair styled in a pompadour. Likes shouting absurd phrases that he obviously made up, and strikes a ridiculous pose whenever possible. Always seems to be smiling.
History (optional): Marv was once a legendary defense attorney who always believed in his clients innocence. But after getting one of his clients proven innocent and sending the real criminal to prison for murder, he later found out that he had made a mistake and that his client was in fact the real murderer. Marv could not live with himself afterwards and decided to atone for his actions by putting all criminals where they belong by becoming a prosecutor. Also, if you need anyone to play a witness, as I noticed in your case thread earlier, I have no problem with playing one. Just say the word and I'm there. _________________ "The third generation of Pokemon has too many monsters with knives as random body parts. Of course that makes this generation fucking awesome."

Awesome Faceless, I'll let you know when we're wrapped this one up. I think we're close now. Thanks so much for being willing to join in on the next case.

| DOUBLE POSTAGE!
Case One is now closed. I will be accepting people as characters for Case Two. Once we have enough players, I will put up another thread. Faceless has agreed to be the Prosecutor. We still need another lawyer and a defendant at the very least.
I'll take into account ideas for the case premise too if anyone has one XD. _________________
