"The name is Jeremy Saint by the way. And sorry for tossing you in, but you shouldn't be a jackass all of the time, might get ya killed."
He holstered his gun and headed to the stairwell again.
"Him leaving through the fire escape should distract them some, we can go up or go down."

Ignorant fool. I should have punched him in the mouth. Mikhail thought.

He ignored his subconcious, making his way out the window and looking down the fire escape and eyeing a rather lovely 68 Camaro which sat in a parking space, alone, and begging for someone to drive her.

After breaking into it and hotwiring the beast, he revved the monster and peeled out, speeding through the cluttered streets toward the 'Palace', the majority of the monsters chasing after the noisy muscle car.

Sam leaned back his head and tried to gather his thoughts, which he had failed over and over again the latest time since he jumped down into and went up from the dumpsters.

I am stuck here, with what? My keys and a dagger?...nothing that can really help me except the dagger... he thought as he kept a watch out, for either survivors or those hellish creatures.

My mom and dad must have got out from the house...he even got that old shotgun hanging somewhere I guess....it should keep them safe for now... he sighed once again.

But what about me now?...I can wait here or look for survivors...either way I will have to set my life to the choise...

"And my brains are telling me to head to the roof, since the streets are crawling with the freaks outside. Though we could 'borrow' any left over ammo from pale-boy's little stash since he won't be needing any."

*heads to Mikhail's room to search for ammo*

*James stuff note into pocket deciding that mention pale-man again to Jeremy would be bad*
As James heads out of room, he sees everyone heading downstairs.

"What?!?!? Into the creep infested streets!?!? The roofs are much safer, and some have no stairs to them, meaning we just hop over and have a safe place for the rest of the night!"

"Alright then, you guys head in the streets, and I'll stay on the rooftops for as long as I can stay with you guys, acting as a scout to see anything useful or report some creeps heading your way"

As the group descends the stairs, James heads up the staircase leading to the rooftop. He opens the door and walks out, his eyes readjusting to the light difference (it was brighter outside). James took three steps out before he realized four things:

1. There was another apartment with a slightly higher roof to the right of and right next to this apartment.
2. There are freaks in that building, and apparently, used to be on the rooftop.
3. Used to, cause they all fell off the higher rooftop onto this one, and most survived.
4.Twenty of the things were staring straight at him like a fresh baked hamburger.

James stood there for all about the split second it takes for his mind to choose "Fight, Flight, or die".

"I'm no damn ninja-burger! Run James! RUN!!!!"

James blitzed to the door, with twenty freaks on his tail. James slammed the door shut and ran even faster (if possible) down the stairs, and towards Jeremy and his group, hearing the slamming and snarling from the door, knowing it won't last long.

"I've decided to join you guys for a good jog! Now lets go!"

Derica looked out of the locked window. She'd heard some shooting come from down the street and locked all of the pharmacy's doors and windows; the last thing she needed was a bunch of druggies with guns coming to rob her blind. That had happened once before and they'd taken all of her prescription meds, ODed, and shot at each other. Like hell did she need that kind of scare again.

She turned her head to look out toward the other side and saw a group of people standing in the street walking quickly toward the pharmacy. As they came closer, she realized that something was off about them. They looked...dead.

Holy motherfucking shit.

As she realized at last what she was seeing, she screamed as loud as she could.

As Mikhail tore through the streets, he heard a woman's scream, and saw a swarm of those monsters. He put two and two together and a bout of chivalry overwhelmed him. He couldn't let a woman suffer at the hands of those things, not after his mother and sister had...

He looked at the steering wheel of his speeding car and frowned.

"I apologize for what I am about to do." He lamented, "You were a great ride."

With that said, he floored it and tore through the mob, splattering the majority of them against the car's front, and torquing the car, causing it to roll. Once it stopped, skidding to a halt, Mikhail pulled off his seatbelt and crawled out of the car. He stood to see three of them still alive, and charging at him.

He cocked his shotgun, blissfully unaware of a laceration on his temple which bled, profusely.

Derica was now immensely glad that she had locked the pharmacy's windows and doors. Some drunk driver was tearing through the mass of zombies like they were paper. Seeing the man get out of the car, she backed up until she felt the desk behind her.

Oh shit, oh shit, druggies with guns, druggies with guns.

Needless to say, she started freaking out.

Mikhail blasted the last of them in the face, completely removing it, and splattering the pavement in all manner of gore. He cursed in Russian and reloaded his shotgun, looking around for the woman. He hoped she wasn't already dead, otherwised he'd just wasted valuable ammunition and a gorgeous car.

"Miss!" He shouted, "Come out, I can take you somewhere safe!"

He stumbled forward, finally noticing the wound on his forehead. He cursed, again, and wandered the immediate area, looking for the lady.

Grabbing all of the drugs she could fit in her pockets and purse (who knew when those would come in handy?), Derica quickly strode to the door, unocked it, and called out after the man. "If you're serious about that offer," she said as she stepped on some exploded zombie carcass, "then I'm Derica. Where can we go that's safe?"

Once he'd said it, he realized how crazy it sounded.

"I realize the implications, but I can promise you safety." He added, "Now, then, do you think you could do anything about my head?"

He tried to smile, but he was starting to feel a little light headed.

Derica grimaced. "The laceration looks fairly deep," she said as she dug through her purse. She found the rubbing alcohol quickly and motioned for the man to kneel down. "This might sting a bit," she warned before applying it to his head.

"And why are we going to the...Mafia Manor?" She felt ridiculous for asking, but she'd heard that the mafia was just a urban legend. Then again, zombies weren't supposed to exist, either, so today was just a day of surprises. "Why would that be any less susceptible to these attacks?"
