Raymond had started to wander down the subway tunnel, avoiding the third rail like a plague, stumbling in the dark.
Should have brought a bloody flashlight...
He rounded a turn, coming upon a stopped train.
"Must be at a station." He saw no way around, so he hoisted himself up and tried to pry open the door.
"Damn things, why must they be so hard to open!"
The doors slowly slide apart, giving Raymond access to the inside of the car. He walked through it, stopping at one of the cars at the station itself, prying open the doors and stepping out. He started to make his way to the exit when he heard voices. He quickly ducked behind a pillar, hoping whatever it was hadn't heard him.

When the box was moved aside by someone inside the attic, Roger's first thoughts were a bit optimistic. Alright. Living people. Maybe they can be helpful. Then a shotgun was put in his face and that was just . . . just special. He honestly didn't know how he was supposed to respond. Get angry? Piss himself? Beg for his life? So he did what he thought was a much more effective way to relieve tension and show he wasn't infected.

"Hi there. Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? I think I just did."

Now his entire life didn't flash before his eyes. Not even a good sized chunk. Just a few memories and well, with the prospect of death before him, he saw a man that had to be Jesus or a hippy in robes. Though he likely only saw it because he's a figure related to the afterlife and the only real image his mind could put together.

Mikhail glared at the man, stifling a grin. After a moment or so, it was just too overwhelming and he burst out laughing. He turned his shotgun away before speaking.

"I needed that, thank you." he said, "You mind standing aside, we plan to get the hell out of here."

Sam turned his head and watched Roger, not noticing anyone else but he heard someones voice. Which made him feel a sudden rush of joy.

Survivers! Thank whatever there is up there...

He quickly remembered his work and looked forward down the hallway.

"Ro...Roger.. is there...any people up there?" thinking himself a slightly idiot asking that. He didn't care all to much about it.

Derica breathed out a sigh of relief. She had honestly believed that it would be one of the infected, if not a horde of them. Instead, it looked like there were more people around then they had counted on.

Nodding at Mikhail's statement, Derica said, "Yes, it's not safe here anymore. You should probably get out of here, too."

Looking behind the man, she thought she saw something moving in the darkness. Her hand gripped her gun tightly before she realized that it must've been this guy Roger's companion. Feeling foolish, she turned to Mikhail and Olga again. "We need to leave before we run into any of the infected."

Mikhail nodded and helped everyone down the staircase. Before he removed himself from the attic, he took a final look at the panic room. With a sigh, he joined the others.

"If we're going to be working together, we'll need a large vehicle." He spoke, "We could walk, but, I don't believe that's a good idea with all these monsters running about. Any suggestions?"

To say that Nathan Pierpont´s day was a bad one would be a complete understatement, Never in his life had he have the guts to punch or harm anyone, let alone kill, and that was what he had been doing the whole evening and night, he had never been so freaked out or on edge in all his life.

When the outbreak started, Nathan was strugling to balance out his work in the basement and taking care of Kyle, his 3 year old son, and Elizabeth, his 1 year old babygirl, he had somehow managed to take turns with these two tasks over the months, but it could get quite stressing sometimes, but these issues soon began to pale as Nathan heard screams outside the house, he inmediatedly came to the front part of the house and witnessed the madness unfolding in the streets, he could not believe his eyes, and soon enough many of the rampaging people started bashing the door to the house, In that instant, Nathan realised those were not normal or sane people, and he had to do something about it.

He then ran to his basement, and began taking out and mixing many volatile chemical compounds, this was the only method of defense that had occured to him, and wasted no time in using many of these mixes to fend off the assailants of the house, at first, he threw them non-lethal substances that would normally render people unconscious, but he quickly noticed they were not normal, and had to resort to explosices like nitro-glicerin to keep the attacking people at bay, he didnt like this one bit, but the safety of his children overcame his usual passive nature, this way he had barely managed to survive the outbreak all that ngiht, also thankfully because there was not many people in that zone when the outbreak started.

So, with all of this happening to him in a few hours, it was understandable to see why he quickly reacted and attacked the riding biker when he came near his house, he didnt knew if those things could drive but he wasnt going to risk his family to find out,
Still something felt different from this one, and since he had succesfully knocked him out of the bike, he decided to give hima chance to prove he was not a foe, if he decided to attack, he would be able to blow him up first.

"Relax! i am not one of those freaks, proof of this is that i am aiming my gun at you and i could drop you before you are able to throw whatever you are holding in your hand, i doubt any of those things would be able to do that." Vince replied at Nate´s threat.

Nate felt a mix of relief and panic after hearing this, at least he knew he had finally found someone that was sentient, but the thought having a gun pointed at him made him feel un-easy.

"O-okay then... if you are not a freak then lower your weapon an di will lower mine.. deal?"

"Fair enough" Vince replied, and then lowered his weapon, "Can i now come and talk to you? we are in danger, a whole group of those things are headed this way, might take a few minutes before they arrive"

Nate grimaced "No.. i need to get my stuff then! and get the children, and call Laura! this is not good, please come inside and help me out here!"

Children? this cant be good, the are only going to slow us down, and this guy doesnt seem very capable of defending himself without his chemicals.. i think i should leave now that i can... Vince thought to himself, and began to walk away.

Nate panicked, he couldnt believe the stranger was leaving him to his luck, he needed help is he was to take both children alive. "Wait! dont leave! please, i need your help! i beg of you! i have a baby and a child in there... what is it that you have to do? please help us!"

"Look guy, i am a merc, your moral dilemas doesnt affect me, and having kids with us will only slow our escape, so, i think i am better off alone, unless you are willing to leave the children behind" Vince replied.

"O-of course not! How can you think this about some children?? look, you said you are a merc right? please help us, if not by good will, do it for profit! i have quite osme saving i could pay you with, as soon as we can get out to somewhere safe, please.." Nate begged, he was pale now.

"Hmmpf, right, if you are that desperate, i think i can help you, its not like i have a plan or something to look foward to anymore... the money better be worth it..." Vince finally acceded, and proceeded to aproach the house.

"T-thank you so much! please, come inside, get something to eat, if we dont have much time as you say, i need to call my wife, and quickly, this will only take a sec." Nate finished, and quickly took his cellphone and began calling her wife.

"Laura!! Where are you!?"

He needed that? This man must have been super depressed or something. But Roger was happy to oblige so long as it meant he didn't get his head splattered. So he got off the steps and stood in the hall near Sam.

"Well, saw this guy and a woman. If there's anyone else up there I couldn't see them. I didn't actually get to look inside the attic."

When Mikhail helped the others down he noticed that there were in fact two women. And th of them were easy on the eyes. If this was a worldwide epedemic, Roger certainly wouldn't mind doing his part to make uninfected babies.

"Well, we could always use your truck. Put anyone who can use a gun in the back. The gunners will be more vulnerable, sure, but I figure any situation that'd involve us being trapped in a vehicle fighting off infected . . . well . . . it'd be a no win scenario."

Sam kept looking down the hallway, taking a calming deep breath.

Some more survivers...thank whatever there is up there... he thought.

Not really turning to look at those that climbed down, trying to stick to his duty to watch down the hallway.

"Go...Good to..know that some more are safe..." he said trying to sound calm.

"And..I..I don't know how rea...really just want to get as...far away as possible..." he said, as not even thinking or even remebering the thought of his parents could be out there.

Derica turned to Mikhail, a slightly puzzled look on her face. "So...are they coming with us, then?" She wasn't entirely sure of how well that would work; more people meant more delays, usually. And she really needed to meet up with Raymond or else...she didn't really know what she'd do.

"Whatever. Let's just leave already. We've wasted enough time here."

Laura hadn't seen them before they'd already attacked a large portion of the zoo and the zoo animals. Let me tell you, infected lions are not fun to deal with. It was a good thing she and the rest of the zoo staff had all of those tranquilizers on hand, especially the ones with enough to knock out a young killer whale, or else most of them would be dead or braindead.

She couldn't get reception where she was or she would have immediately called home and made sure that Nate and the children were alright. So she did the first thing that came to mind and, with three of her tranquilizer guns in hand, made a mad dash for her car.

Laura was keeping one eye on the road and one eye on her cell phone the entire ride home. She hit a few infected people and managed to shatter her windshield because of it, but the second she got a few bars, the phone began to ring. She heard Nate's frantic, paniced voice and responded, "I'm almost home, honey. I have about three blocks to go. Are you okay? How are Kyle and Elizabeth?"

She sped through the neighborhood at top speed and didn't even give Nate time enough to answer her questions before she saw him standing with their children and some man on their front lawn. She stopped and threw herself at her husband, kissing him and saying, "We should go inside, it's not safe out here. And who is that?"

Mikhail shrugged and began heading down the stairs.

"I don't care if they come." He said coldly, "Just don't fall behind."

It was about that time the sound of a mob of those creatures screaming reached them. Another scream, one far more human sounded and Mikhail looked out the front door into the darkness of night to see what it was.

"Shit! Out the back! We're running there!" He shouted, making sure to grab Olga's hand before bolting out the back of the house.

Nathan was both relieved and overjoyed by the fact that he had finally reached Laura, and was also surprissed, because not too soon she responded and she was already next to him and kissing him, wich relieved a lot of stress from Nate´s shoulders, as for the question she made, Nate quickly responded:

"He is Vincent, a trained soldier, i also kinda bumped into him while i was protecting our house... also.. we cant stay here much longer, we need to leave, and quick, according to Vince here there is a whole horde of them coming from the opposite direction you arrived..."

"Well fuck," Laura said, not caring that the children were within earshot. "Where exactly can we go?"

Turning to the man, Vincent or whatever his name was, she directed a question at him as well. "And who the hell are you to lead a horde of living nightmares toward my family like this? How do we know they aren't...searching for you or something? How dare you endanger my family like this."

((I'm assuming, Thal, that Shogo and Ogge are now a part of our little party, so I'll wait for them to post before I continue with Derica.))

Vince had barely got the chance to get near the house when suddenly a car arrived, and from it emerged a beautiful woman, if rather high spirited, she inmediatedly caught Vince´s attention, and she caught it even more when she directed to him in a rather aggresive fashion, Vince didnt take it too bad really, so he responded calmly:

"I apologize Miss, but i didnt stop here by choice, your husband there greet me in a rather.. unusual fashion when i was passing trough here, escaping from that swarm that is headed towards us, i assure you it was not my intention to trouble your family, but you might also want to know, your husband hired me to protect your family and get you out of this mess."

Tensions seemed to be getting high by the way one of the women's voices sounded. I mean sure, it was a horrible situation with infected and death and suffering. But hey, least they were alive. Then like everyone else, he heard that sound. The sound of the infected encroaching on their position. What shitty luck.

"You heard him, Sam. Keep up and don't accidentally shoot us."

Roger obviously followed Mikhail since he seemed to be the one that actually knew how to navigate the mansion. Though where they were supposed to get to was beyond him. He'd never been to this part of the city before so had no real idea on where they could go to be safe.
