| The Greyhawk Sentinels is a bounty hunting group set in the world of Cyrren. It is a Steampunk world in a sense. There are airships and guns, although primitive compared to ours. There is zero magic, none at all, nadda, ziltch. There are monsters though, dragons, and other mythological beings and whatnot. But again. NO MAGIC. Also this is steampunkish, so humans only.
Cyrren is divided up into 5 major sections land wise. There is the Andach wastes, a large section of primarily desert land, roughly the size of Australia, though not in that shape. To the north east of it lies the Principality of Telbran, this is the smallest section roughly the size of china. To the south of this lies the Faldar Federation, the second largest of the sections, about the size of Africa. The far south of this is the Holy Obensthe Empire. To the far east of the others lies the Wilds, a place uninhabited by humans and the largest section. Basically this is mostly a three continent world. The Wilds is the middle sized continent and is seperated by the Troubaugh seas from the largest which encompasses Telbran in the north, Faldar in the south and the wastes in the west. To the south of both and seperated by the Neanmas Ocean lies the smallest continent which houses the Holy Obensthe Empire.
On the monster idea, there are bounty hunter groups that take the bounties placed on creatures deemed hazardous or dangerous to the towns. These bounty hunters dress for combat, but this depends on what they themselves do. Those that use repeater bows or guns, marksmen, tend to wear lighter armor as they generally are not in the fray of battle. Those that get right into the fray, wear heavier armor, allowing them to take a deal more punishment and still walk out alive. Bounty hunters tend to focus on 4-5 different weapon types: Gun, Crossbow, Sword, Spear, Axe. Now you might be wondering why use close range when you can use long range. Simple answer? Some of the creatures are too fast, you would have to get up close to harm them. That and if they spot you before you spot them with long range weaponry, you're garunteed to get fucked. Outside of the bounty hunters and national armies, most people dress in victorian/turn of the century style clothing and exhibit similar behavior, the rich and middle class attending balls and such while the poor work in factories and refineries.
Now for the information on everything.

The also reached out and took soverignty over the Andach Wastes, mining it for resources and setting up several cities which the nomadic natives started to settle in. When the Empire started to colonize parts of the Wastes for materials, the Federation declared war, losing the first several battles before scoring large victories in the Battle of the Dunes and the Battle of Nysseth. Eventually a weary and uneasy peace agreement was signed in Telbran and the two have remained at unease with each other, small conflicts constantly occuring, but nothing large scale. the Federation enjoyed a massive population and technology boost when they became the center of the economic and technological world with their many advancements. Info on the Empire | Spoiler: | | | Background: Around 1300 years ago, many tribes in the Obensthe continent formed a collaboration founded on a mutual language and religion. The head of this was their religious leader. They formed a loose trade alliance with Telbran around 700 years ago on the basis of gold, sugar, corn, and slaves, yet did not ally themselves with those in what would eventually become the Federation because of what they perceived as areligiousness. They began to show interest in colonizing parts of the Wastes for the raw materials, coming into conflict with the Federation over that. This eventually escalated into war (mostly naval war or fought in the Wastes) until the Federation turned the war in the Battle of Nysseth, burning the Empires capitol city to the ground and forcing them to surrender with their religio-political leader at gunpoint. They have since left the Wastes alone and are still in good terms with the Telbrans, who did not take sides in the war. Internal conflict has arisen, though, with the rise of cultism toward each of the deities and fighting over who is the supreme being. Luckily, the religious leader was smart enough to worship all three together. He was killed by a radical named Fesythe, a follower of the snake goddess Lissandra, who immediately imposed his own ideas of worship on the people.

They are smaller than warships but still larger than other ships, the main fleet of any army is comprised of these. capacity: 140-160 Class 3: Cruisers, these are passanger ships, smaller than battle cruisers but larger than scouters. Capacity: 80-100 Class 4: Scouters, these are as they are called, scout ships. Not much else to it, lightly equipped, these also tend to be what bounty hunters travel in. capacity : 10-15 Class 5: Personal, these are generally for the extremely rich only. Very small compared to the others, but usually outfitted very comfortably, think of them as the rolls royces of this place.. capacity : 1-5

Info on weapons | Spoiler: | | | Weapons-
Guns- All guns are single shot, and take awhile to reload. All guns are also large, two handed, some even requiring you to drop to one knee to fire properly. Feel free to design them however you like, so long as they meet the above requirements.
Crossbows- Crossbows are multishot and fairly quick to reload. They are smaller than guns, usually one handed, some can be two handed, bolts are faster but weaker than bullets.
Swords- Large and in charge. Swords vary greatly depending on the wielder. Those that like to mix offense and defense usually go for a light one handed sword and shield, those that prefer more offense go for two handers. Tend to generally be single edged. Next to guns these are the first choice for bounty hunters.
Spears- These also come in two main variations. There is the smaller spears which are weilded with one hand and used with a shield and the larger spears which require both hands to weild effectively. These tend to be uncommon as they are hard to use properly and require a good deal of training.
Axes- This is the most uncommon weapon to see. The one handed axes are always single bladed, the two handed are generally single bladed but are known to have two.
Feel free to be creative with the description, but nothing too outlandish. |
Info on religion, major cities and monsters to come.
If you are interested feel free to post a character sheet ask questions etc, if we get atleast 6-7 I'll start it up.
I do however reserve the right to veto any action or character if i think it disrupts the rp or doesn't follow the style. _________________

| The greyhawk looks something like this but it is a silver grey not red.

side reference
Warships look like this | Spoiler:
We do not live out of the ship so to speak, we do have a headquarters in Walynd with a hanger for the ship, but its not always occupied as we are generally traveling between the other cities on the job. The ship cannot take us everywhere, we do have to take the trains on occasion to reach certain destinations, and many of the islands require access by boat. _________________

| Name: Kalina Draves
Background: Born from two factory workers, Kalina Showed to be a technological prodigy even when she was a child, always tinkering with the machines of the factory their parents worked in behind their back, she quickly understood how they worked, then learned to use them, and sometimes even modify them, this sometimes ended in said machinery breaking and causing all the workers to suffer for it, luckily, she was never caught.
Still, Her parents humble way of living limited kalina, specially because she didn't even know how to read, she was always looking for things to tinker with and modify, and due to her hot tempered nature, she usually ended up having fights with her parents, so, as soon as she turned 17, she quickly ran away from her home to enlist in the army, thanks to the practical knowledge she had gained in machinery, she was admitted immediately even tough she was unable to read, a problem the army solved by providing her with tuition for it.
For a while, she felt happy in the army, being an engineer, she got the chance to work with more advanced stuff, like guns and vehicles, after four years tough, she became bored of being able only to fix them instead of modify them and use them, since the army never her permission to do it, So one day she decided the army was holding her back, and deserted, just like that, feeling she had enough knowledge to make a living of her own and create her own stuff without the restrain in the military, the normal society however, was not yet prepared for the things she wold offer to them...
Being that most of her inventions involved shooting or blowing stuff up, most people would not even get close to her workshop, and the ones that did where usually outlaws and criminals that ended causing more trouble for her that she did on her own, so much that she became an outlaw herself, being unable to pay for her own expenses and being responsible for many disasters in the city, she was on the run for some months, until then she stumbled with the Greyhawk and her captain, Rieley, He needing an engineer that could repair his ship, and her needing a safe place to hide and some steady source of income, quickly accepted and joined the cap's crew in the next flight, soon being able to modify the greyhwak itself, this style of life quickly suited her.
Appearance: She is around 24 by the time the story starts, She is kinda tall for a woman, being 5' 7'' foot tall, she has a normal musculature, and a bit well endowed, tough this is usually hidden by her outfit, has a bit of muscles in her arms specially thanks to all the work she does with machines, Being a faldarian, she has a tanned skin, and has dark red, straight long hair, and amber eyes, she usually wears a dark brown overall, and a white sleeveless shirt (she cut the sleeves off), and black military boots (sturdy things, she has them since her time in the army), Her hair is wrapped up in a green bandanna, and usually has googles in her forehead. Since she is usually inside the ship, and is not a really social person, she usually not wears any kind of armor or fancy clothing.
Weapon choice: -A wrench (not really a weapon, but she always carries it around.) - (right now) A customized riffle
Weapon Description: Basically, a Middle sized dual shot Riffle, thanks to her modifications, the rifle itself is quite light and has a shorter barrel than most, while still keeping a very good accuracy and fire power, she is skilled at middle range with it, tough she has not had much chance to use it.
Personality: She is Intelligent and curious by nature, but she is also very Hot-tempered, easy to act on emotions, and can be a bit cocky sometimes, especially when it comes to her technical skills, But with enough ability to back it up, She is also quite talkative, and has a loud mouth, despite this, she is not one that cares for society, culture, or high class rules, in fact, she despises this, and has quite an opinion on the rich people, and the military too, and basically anyone that gets on her bad side, note that while not a fighter, she is quite aggresive and violent, and enjoys blowing stuff up at an almost sadistic level.
Nationality: Faldarian, she hails from the Hub of the world, Arioth. From a lower class family.
Position: "Techie" of the ship, she is mainly in charge of fixing, modifying, and arming the greyhawk along with the crew's equipment and weaponry, and she is also the main gunner. _________________

| Name: Caim
Age: 26
Background: Caim was born on a small island controlled by the Federation, though he doesn't really remember which island or much of anything about the island itself. While still very young, Caim was kidnapped by slavers and sold to the Empire. He started with what could be called odd jobs and other menial labor but at some point was made to do work for the military. Specifically, working on military grade Trotmobiles. While one might normally question letting slaves act as mechanics for military equipment, the slave masters had effective ways to prevent forms of sabotage. Such as breaking the arms and legs of a slave and leaving them in the desert to die. Over time, in fulfilling his "duties", Caim taught himself how to use a Trotmobile. Against all odds, he was planning to escape. Needless to say, stealing a military vehicle and making a break for it would be more than a little risky. But he got some unintended assistance.
Something had caused an uproar. A flare up in hostilities between the Federation and Empire. Nothing major, a small skirmish at best, but enough for about half the base's Trotmobiles to be sent out. This sparked a small slave riot when some of the slaves believed they could somehow take over the base and hand it over to the Federation. Caim had other ideas. Moving as quickly as possible, he climbed into a Trotmobile and made a break for it. Truthfully, he never had a chance. By the time he coul escape Imperial territory he would have certainly been caught and killed. Even if he did make it, the Federation would have probably mistaken him for an enemy and attacked him. But Fate smiled upon Caim. He would stumble upon a group of bounty hunters having trouble against a large creature. Using his Trotmobile he managed to bring it down and was able to convince the leader to take him with them.
Caim managed to become the Greyhawk Sentinels' first and only Trotmobile pilot. But Trotmobiles are expensive to maintain. Especially their weapons. It could only be used when needed. So Caim taught himself how to be useful on his own, taking a liking to the crossbow. So one could say his main duty was that of a marksman. And while he does have some kind of mechanical skill, he really only knows how to maintain his Trotmobile.
Appearance: Caim is of a good height, standing at 5'11". He weighs roughly 176lbs, from his compact yet muscular build. He has a rather average, natural skin tone, not really tan but not really pale. Though he once had a tan that has faded since he left the Empire. He has brown eyes. His hair is kept relatively short and is a dark brown that approaches blackness. His normal clothing includes brown pants, a black shirt, a brown, leather longcoat, and brown boots. Over this he wears some light armor made to appear light blue with gold trim.
| Spoiler: | | | |
This is what I'm basing his appearance off of. Though Caim has a different hair color and doesn't have a horse.
Weapon choice:
Personal- Steel Spear and Two-Handed Repeating Crossbow
Trotmobile- Large Axe and Large Repeating Crossbow
Weapon description:
Personal- The Spear has a simple but effective design with almost no attempts to make it look "pretty". It's a weapon. It shouldn't look like anything else. Used when he wants to dissuade others from boarding his Trotmobile.
The Repeating Crossbow is of the two-handed variety for more accurate shots to be made. Including spare blt packs it can hold up to 30 bolts. These can be a mix of normal, poison, or explosive tipped bolts.
Trotmobile- The Large Axe is precisely that. An axe too large for any man to wield that has been attatched to the left arm of the Trotmobile, keeping the left hand free. It is double bladed. Useful for logging operations too.
The Large Repeating Crossbow is similar to a normal crossbow save for the fact that it's too big to be used by anything other than a Trotmobile. It can hold up to 20 bolts of the same type as a standard bow. Normal, Poison, or Explosive Tipped. It is attatched to the righ arm of the Trotmobile, once again leaving a hand free.
Personality: Despite being a former slave, Caim is remarkably well adjusted. He isn't constantly brooding or moping. He doesn't lash out with rage every five seconds. In fact, you could call him a nice, somewhat friendly person. He won't go seeking out friends very often but he won't stop people from trying to befriend him. The only real hangup he has is that it can be difficult for him to trust Imperials. He doesn't try to murder them on sight but it can be hard to see them as something other than an enemy at times.
Nationality: Faldarian
Position: Trotmobile Pilot and Marksman (Crossbows) _________________

| Name: Hasseen Starfinder
Background: Hasseen was born to a nomadic tribe called the Far-Wanderers, and from his people learned the ways of star-mapping and navigation by the celestial bodies. Feeling the call of adventure, he set out on his quest for adulthood and went out into the wide world, searching for something of great value to give back to his tribe.
In his wanderings, he was accosted by a group of monsters, and barely survived long enough to be rescued, by none other than the Greyhawks. Staying on as an associate, he took to learning new ways of finding his way, and became the ship's navigator.
Appearance: Hasseen is roughly 25 years old and 5' tall, short for a man, but his 230 lb. frame is muscular and strong, making him a sturdy fighter. His skin tone is tanned from long hours in the sun, with narrow brown eyes and short red-brown hair. He has a think mustache that runs along the top of his lower lip, and a groomed patch of beard on his chin.
Weapon choice: Two-handed mace
Weapon description: A massive, spiked steel ball attached to a thick stock of wood. Simple carvings of Hasseen's own making tell the story of his tribe, and he wields it with ogre-like strength.
Personality: Hasseen is a compliant individual, friendly and accommodating, as well as knowledgeable on many subjects. He is always willing to share tales over a drink and teach others all he has learned in his wanderings. His greatest fault is being somewhat of a pushover, however, and he is regularly convinced to do things he finds dangerous or unnecessary.
Nationality: Wastelander
Position: Greyhawk navigator _________________

| RELIGIONS PAGE
Hassadh - official religion of the Holy Obensthe Emipre
| Spoiler: | | | HASSADH
This is the religion of the Empire. Hassadh is both a religion and a way of life for the people of the Empire - the religious leader is also the political leader. There is no separation of church and state. They are one in the same. Hassadh is reptile worship and focuses on three main gods: Jamalaya, the alligator god; Izaganta, the iguana god; and Lissandra, the snake goddess. The story goes that Jamalaya and Izaganta were brothers and both loved and wedded Lissandra, who bore them both children. The reptiles that they bore were all brothers, coexisting in a way that the Obensthites saw humans as being unable to do. So they decided to take the way of the reptile and make it their own.
The gods each have their own priests, though the temples usually house one or more of each. Priests have to go through an elaborate 8 year training ritual to gain the title of priest. They will be the ones to offer sacrifices to the gods, to bless the newly born, the Kaythed, the wedded, and the dead. They will usually have their entire bodies shaven clean with scale tattoos running along their legs, arms, backs, and necks as well as split tongues. They will usually be wearing white robes around their waists tied with the collected shedded skin of whatever reptilian form is available to them, often snakeskin. Also they carry with them a jagged dagger for various purposes, usually for cutting out the heart of the sacrificed animal.
The temples themselves vary with meaning. There are the temples where people will go for services and for personal prayers (mecks) - they are smaller, localized, and usually headed by a single priest. Then there are the temples for sacrifice and for large scale events (basks), which tend to be larger and run by at least three priests, though not as common as the mecks. There are also the temples where one would go for "confession" and making up for sinning (sekhs), which are more regional and tend to be run by an enclave of priests.
These sekhs will usually have a female population as well. It is Hassadhan tradition that sin is absolved through carnal forgiveness. In other words, a "priestess" representative of Lissandra will act as a corporeal form of the snake goddess and, through sex, will allow the male patron to be forgiven of his sins. The girls are usually between the ages of 9 and 14 and, after a 3 year period of servicing their goddess, will usually be sacrificed to her alive by having her heart ripped from her chest. These are usually girls without homes or parents, though often the parents will have willingly given their daughter over to please the gods. The girls are recognized by the glowing green lines along their faces and breasts; they too will usually wear the white robes that cover only their waists. However, their tongues will be intact or pierced rather than slit and they will not have tattoos.
There are certain rituals that a Hassadhan will do daily. They pray once in front of a shrine in their homes, thanking the gods for their health, home, and happiness. Also, they will consume reptile eggs at least once every week as it supposedly builds character. Pregnant women will eat more than this to help grow a stronger child. They will not, however, eat live reptiles. Instead, when they come across a live reptile, they will kneel on the ground, hands stretched out toward the reptile, and lay their head on the ground before it until it walks away.
Lifecycle events in Hassadh are always interesting. When a child is born, a priest will prick its right idex finger with a tiny amount of snake venom, forefeed it shedded iguana skin, and rub alligator scales along its body. This counts as a blessing from each of the gods. The Kaythe is a coming-of-age ritual: when a boy reaches the age of 17, he is considered a man in the religious community. The priests will bless him by diluting snake venom with iguana blood and alligator saliva and, cutting a gash in his upper arm in a circular formation, inserting the mixture. It burns away part of the skin and leaves a mark to signify adulthood. His tongue is also slit down the center. Weddings are presided over by three priests and are not unnusual except in that they will sacrifice an animal in the middle of it by ripping out its heart. Also, women will have their tongues pierced. Deaths are similar to births in that a fang, iguana skin, and alligator scales are buried along with the body.
The main holiday of Hassadh is Lakssikar Doha, where the people will paint their faces to resemble their deities and rejoice over the birth of their gods. The holy book is called the Sharghia and is exactl 879,021 words long.
There are the three cults as well, which differ from the idea of priests. The cults are all rather militant and will usually have tattoos over their faces of the kind of skin that their chosen deity takes the form of. They are the reason for much of the internal strife in the country as they will constantly be at war with one another. They interpret the Sharghia to satisfy their own reasoning behind their actions and will often act more as a gang than a religious group. |

| Monsters:
I'm going to cover monsters outside of dragons and wyverns and such.
Behemoths: Giant angry frightening things. After class 1 Dragons, these are among the largest beasts and a sight to behold. Generally only found in the deep reaches of the Wilds tho smaller ones have been known to travel to the coasts of Faldar and The empire. they look like this: | Spoiler:
Dire Wolves: Larger than normal wolves by a fair amount and much more feral and vicious. Generally found in packs, for their small size compared to other creatures, they are tough.
Manticores: Nasty creatures that resemble a combination of lion, scorpion and bat. | Spoiler:
Sea Serpents: General catch-all for most monsters of the sea, tho most appear to look like dragon/snake hybrids.
Rocs: Giant birds, very aggressive and territorial. They have a wingspan of easily 50 feet. | Spoiler:
Urayuli: Giant apes basically. I dont mean king kong size, but around 15 feet.
Therosaurs: Basically raptor like creatures.
Valerosaurs: Bigger versions of the Therosaur.
Griffins: Territorial and aggressive. | Spoiler:
Sand Worms: Big ass worms that eat stuff and are found in the Wastes, bane of the nomads. Think something like Tremors, but longer and bigger.
Basilisk: | Spoiler: | | | |

| Trotmobiles
The Trotmobile was created as a sort of "evolution" of the early automobile. A few engineers basically decided that cars would be more useful with legs. With a lot of trial and error, Trotmobiles were born as exactly that. A car with legs attatched to it for transportation instead of wheels. Eventually arms were added as well so the Trotmobile could right itself if knocked over.
Trotmobiles are a relatively recent inovation and as such are still quite expensive. Because of this, you will typically see only the Upper Class or the Military using them. The civilian models stay true to the original concept of the Trotmobile. That of looking like a car with arms and legs. Specifically something like the Model T.
The Military Models look less like bipedal cars and more like a bipedal mech. Though they are still about the same size. Just better armored, designed to look more militaristic, and equipped with weapons. It's illegal for non-military personel to own this type of Trotmobile but that hasn't stopped the occasional bandit force from customizing stolen civilian models with weapons and armor plating as an alternative.
While they do rely on oil to an extent, Trotmobiles are powered mostly by steam. Trotmobiles are useful, all terrain tools. Some models are as slow as a tank yet the faster models can easily outrun a horse. And to an extent keep pace with a train. They are also easy to customize, giving rise to certain leg configurations. These include having 4 legs or even going back to using wheels.
| Spoiler: | | | |
This is an example of a Trotmobile.
Trotmobile Weapons and Other Parts
Weapons
Almost all weapons used by a Trotmobile are much larger versions of a human use weapon. Suc as giant axes, swords, and crossbows. They can also be equipped with weapons you might see on an airship, though obviously only the smaller weapons. Such as small cannons or even a gatling gun.
Back Parts
The most common for the military being back parts designed for carrying heavy loads. This can be a flatbed, large baskets, or large tanks for liquids.
With nobility you will most likely see a carriage attatchment as they often see piloting the actual Trotmobile as beneath them.
Legs
The most commonly seen legs are the simple yet effective Human Legs. A two-legged design that offers a balance between speed and mobility.
In desert terrain however, you are much more likely to see the Spider Legs. Despite the name, this model features only four legs. They are configured in a way to allow maximum mobility in the desert sands but tend to move more slowly than Human Legs in any other terrain.
The rarest legs you will see are the Horse Legs. While they allow a Trotmobile to move as fast as possible, they have terrible manueverability. Moving any direction other than forward can be quite tedious with the Horse Legs, making Trotmobiles equipped with them better suited to either hit and run tactics or an alternate form of transportation for those who hate trains or airships.
While still rare, the next set of legs are more common than Horse Legs. That being the Wheels. Despite making a Trotmobile nothing more than a car with arms, people still refer to Wheels as Trotmobile legs. Most commonly found amongst old people.
Possible Advances
It is rumored that some people are trying to build a Trotmobile Fortress. Quite literally a Fortress with legs. This is laughed at more often than not.
An idea that is taken much more seriously is the idea of amphibious Trotmobiles. Since Trotmobiles are brought onto a battlefield by easy to spot airships, easy to spot landing ships, or just forced to march to a battlefield efforts have been made to make Trotmobile Sneak Attacks a viable tactic. Thus at least one nation's military, quite likely all of them, has been trying to create a Trotmobile that can travel through water. Covertly landing on beaches and securing them for invasions. Thus far no one has succeeded. _________________

| Monster ranking. This is how monsters are generally classified, its also known as the threat meter on bounties and generally how bounties are defined and differeniated. However since Dragons are so diverse, they themselves have their own class ranking system that fits within this one.
S: These are the most dangerous monsters. They are considered National and sometimes even Global threats and require not only large teams of bounty hunters working together but also the Nation Armies. Monsters that fall within this category include: Arc Behemoths(full grown behemoths), ALL class 1 dragons, and greater sea serpents.
A: These are also extremely dangerous, though these generally don't warrant involvement of the Nations, although some do. They do however require the cooperation of several bounty groups to take down. This category includes Juvenile Behemoths, Class 2 Dragons, and Sea Serpents.
B: Upper mid class threats, they require 2-3 groups to take down or if the bounty hunters are skilled and lucky, 1 group. Class 3 Dragons, Lesser Sea Serpents, Greater Sand worms fall into this category./
C: Mid class threats, 1 group is all that is needed, still very dangerous but not like B,A, or S. some class 3's and class 4 dragons, Lesser Sand Worms, Manticores, Valerosaurs and Rocs.
D: Lower Mid class threats. Class 5 dragons, griffins, Urayuli, and Basilisks.
E: Lowest class, smallest threat. Class 6 Dragons, Dire wolves and Therosaurs. HOWEVER if the pack of therosaurs or dire wolves is large enough it could easily reach class C. _________________

| Name: Alric Korentanic
Background: Being rasied by both of his parents he lived a rather non-confrentaional lifestyle in the city of Walynd untill his teenage years where after a series of seemingly unimportant happenings made him realize that many of these Intelectuals he had come to respect and admire had little or no first hand knowlege of the world around them. This tormenting for him months caused him to strike off on his own with a lifestyle that can only be described as spartan. Taking with him only a Sword he didn't know how to use and a simple crossbow his father had given him he launched himself into the world searching not for glory, or self discovery, but an understanding of everything around him. He traveled around much of the surrounding area on foot talking to the people learning customs and ideas of his own country before meeting up with a merchant with an airship. He Jumped at the oppertunity and spent years with the Captian not only making rather important contacts that many would die for but learning about the cultures and languages of Faldar and the Empire along with his incresing accuracy with a crossbow made him a valuable asset to the crew.
Alric spend seven years on the Tradelanes with the Captian and soon realized there was little left to gather from this lifestyle. So he said his goodbyes and made for the Empire to learn of the life of its less than fortunate people firsthand. He spent three years there and left, disgruntled with its people and government. He made his way to Faldar in the back of a merchant caravan and spent some years there where he wrote his first book on the people of the Empire. Thier habbits and ideas about others and how he was treated. This book never really got popular because his writing had much to be desired.
Having spent an additional five years wandering Faldar and getting to know its people, he decided to return home. He spent another three years there with various scholars trading Linguistic skills for writing lessons.
His parents having kept in touch with him all these years had put together a collection of his letters and submitted them to a press who printed them as "The Adventures of A Wanderlust" He was quite wealthy when he returned however he did nothing with this money. He did however take his relative fame and requisitioned a position as a Diplomat for the Nation of Telbran and spend many years doing nothing aside from Protocal training and diplomatic training. He never did any diploamtic work and instead learned how to fire his crossbow with even more accuracy.
After spending a couple years in Telbran catching up with his parents and old friends from the Merchant ship he deided to once again start to wander on foot. This time however his feet took him to the Wastes. Where he spent several years with a nomadic tribe learning thier ways before the empire enslaves them. He wrote a book about this as well titled "In defense of the Nomad" Which was published in Telbran and quite well recieved by the intellecual community at Telbran.
Having spent his entire life studying humans and being an acknolweged expert and given the highest intellecual honors on his sociological and anthripological work he decided that it was time to look for those cultures who came before us. He learned Kantor, which was the common trade language of the ancient kingdoms and learned to read a series of dialects. He then signed into one of the very few people who often wantered into the Wilds. He was at the right palce at the right time when a young noble friend of his started his Company and was able to ensure a place for himself on the crew with a sizable contrabution to the startup costs. He has been with them sense quite happy with the large variation of ports they meet and his cabin which has pretty much become a medley of books, papers, pens, and maps.
Appearance: Armor wise he only wears a leather tunic on hunts, he generaly stays on the back and actualy prefers to fire his larger crossbows from the side of a ship. on the ship he wears simple clothing that is no out of place anywhere there is to do work, however has dress for just about any occassion anywhere.
Weapon choice: Crossbow and Portable Balista. The Portabalbe Balista is on wheels. More info later when I can remember the real name of this weapon.
Weapon description:
Personality: Generaly Quiet and out of the way when in familiar situations but if your just meeting him or if the situation warrents it he is a very warm friendly person. He will often do his best to speak to you in your native language. He will probibly know it.
Nationality: Telbran.
Position: Translator, Public Relations, Marketing, Choronocle, and Can work as an artillary spotter and launcher. _________________ ntia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem. |
