Doogan listens to James and remembers the cathedral.. the explosion... the nuns...ahh good times. Doogan flashes back to earlier that morning as well.

Alric rises with a pleasantly surprised look on his face leaving behind him a fat man with a look on his face that resembled am even fatter man about to get a barrel of fried chicken legs.

He walks past Liam nodding for him to follow.
Silently he walks to the local banker and shows him a note that was clenched in his hand.

The banker looks at it surprised, Takes it and examines it for a few minutes. He then without a word goes into a room that is very obviously warded and comes out with a gilded chest. He places the chest on the table and opens in.

In this chest is 250 weights of gold.
The up front half he demanded for blaming the death of many people he probably wont like on someone who would only be taking the blame in all the ways he didn't want it.
its going to be a good job

"Liam round everyone up and get back to the ship. Doog can get in contact with James."
He takes the chest and starts to walk back to the port.

OOC: A note is that Gold is very very valuable. This is a non inflated economy and lets say one Weight of gold is 500 ____insert currency. Were being offered 250,000 dollars. with prices where one weight will buy enough beer all night for an entire ship.

Liam tried his best to hide his anger at the gnome, and said nothing more as he followed the captain out of the bar and towards the local banker.

As Liam saw the large quantity of gold before him, he inmediatedly knew this job would not be as simple as it first appeared to be, wich was fine for him, because those grunts barely managed to entertain Liam for long, he then asked the captain.

"So, how many heads is worth that kind of money?"

As Zero was searching, he heard the loud scuffling of footsteps in the halls outside.
"It went in here!"

Shoot!
Zero looked around for a place to hide, but saw none. He decided he would have to fight. The guards broke into the room and saw Zero sitting in a chair.

"Welcome gentlemen. You're just in time for the show."
He pulled back his hood and charged at the guards. He quickly changed into smoke and engulfed them. The guards swung aroundwinging their weapons at the smoke and casting spells. The cloud then flew into their mouths and entered their lungs. Unable to breathe, the guards passed out. Zero exited their bodies and reformed. He pulled his hood back on and left the room.

Liam Nodded and he parted ways from his captain, he didnt like much the idea of missing out a direct raid into the academy, but orders were orders, he proceeded to get in contact with doog, which was still near the tavern they were earlier.

"You can tinker with your toys later, back to the ship, its an order from the captain"

Doogan nods at Liam and starts back to the ship. On his way he pokes his head in the tavern.

"Mister barkeep! you wouldn't happen to have a returning catapult to get me back to the ship would you? No? Oh well."

As he ducks back out he hits his button.

"James captin wants us back at the ship. Tell Smokey. I think we're gonna talk strategy."

Thoughts of phase bombs dance through his head and Doogan whistles a merry tune as he walks back.

James felt really uneasy all of a sudden, and looked around, but just saw your common mage students and teachers. Something seemed strange though.... James can't quite put his finger on it....

James headed into the offices, and was able to smoothly find his way into a empty office. James saw the tag "Office of Records".
Perfect. James went to the cupboard where the staff's information was kept.... and shoved it aside. James has been in plenty of Mage schools, knowing that nothing important was ever in plain sight. James squinted his eyes, and found the notch in the wall that indicated a large safe.

James heard commotion in the building, maybe Zero ran into some trouble.

Then, on his tele pin, Doog came through: "James captin wants us back at the ship. Tell Smokey. I think we're gonna talk strategy."

...

Fuck Stealth.

James placed his palms on the door of the safe in the wall, and pulsed magic through it, looking for the hinges. When he found them, he began heating them, hotter and hotter, till he saw parts of the wall begin to singe. And moments later..... a door that looked like part of the wall fell off and slammed into the ground.
*THUD!*

James looked in and saw many different briefcases, but knew instantly which one to take: The one marked with the Alchemist's name. James grabbed it, and was about to walk out when 5 gaurds busted into the room.

....

"Oh! Hi guys, you know, you really should get better security, I mean, look at me! Just little old me manage to get past your defenses, find your office, locate your secret safe....

James smiled.

...And kill five guards."

James opened one hand, aimed it at them, and yelled "Pyro Blast!" A huge ball of flame erupted from James' hand, and struck clean on the five defenseless gaurds, incinerating them all.

James then decided it was best to get out of the now burning building, and hoofed it to outside the building, very tired from using that magic without aid of any medals, ingrediants, or other focuses.

James used his free hand to grab the 'OM' Medallion, which helped focus the ideas of creation (mostly sound). James then yelled in a voice that could be heard from the harbor:

SMOG BOY WE ARE OUTTA HERE!

James then focused Wind magic to his feet, James propelled himself up, and over the wall, and then slipped through crowds and shacks to make it back to the ship, tired as all hell.

Zero had run into more guards and a few mages. Just as he was about to fight, he heard James shout. He quickly charged at the guards and slipped into smoke form. The smoke slithered down the stairs and out a nearby window, and made it's way back towards the ship. Not wanting them to raid the ship however, Zero decided to fly off between a few houses and reform behind the pub so they would not see where he was headed. Zero then ran back to the ship.

Doogan ran up the boarding ramp and did a quick once over of his babys. He found a note on Bessy. Sweet coordinates! wait how does he know about the collective? or did i make that up? crap now i cant remember. well thats never stopped me before so i'll tell him that gnomes are actualy giants that have been shrunk by a super powerful evil wizard long since dead. Then all my kind generaly agreed that now it was a lot easier to clean those hard to reach nooks and crannys so everything worked out. This is gonna be fun.

Doogan tucked the note into his pocket and headed into the breifing room.

James sat on the deck of the ship catching his breath, since running never agreed with him.

James looked up and saw Zero coming up the ramp to the ship.

"Well, about time Smokey, I almost thought you decided to stay with your new friends at the mage school and have a few rounds of beer with 'em."

James stood up and stretched out a little bit.

"Anyhow we are needed in the briefing room, as everyone else is there I believe. Lets just hope that whatever plan the Crazy Captain is thinking is at least better than some of the others he produces."

James and Zero head into the briefing room.

"I mean seriously, I didn't need to be in the Cathedral for that plan to work!"

Liam had fallen a bit behind from doog in order to gather the rest of the men stationing near the port, he did not need to even shout at them, a mere glare at them was enough to make them return to the ship, whe he finally had gathered everyone, he proceeded to head at the briefing room, as it seemed that even that nut mage and his ethereal friend had already returned from their little stunt.

Alric walks into the briefing room aside Daniel with a less than serious look on his face and lays down a series of scrolls into the large table into the middle. He looks around at all of the officers and says “well lets try and plan this without the death of clergy shall we?” wish a particularly gleeful look at James and Doog.

He opens on of the larger scrolls on the table with a flourish only to display a rather large Awesome

“..Damnit Daniel what did I say about leaving these things around?”
As he takes another large scroll and lays it out.
On it has a rough sketch of the town along with markings for key points.
Key Points included are the Mages School, Fat Cat Merchant HQ, the town square, and the militia barracks. On the side of the Barracks there is a notation –Militia has 30 soldiers and works for mages.

Other than that there is nothing more of interest.

Alric looks up.
”The mission gentlemen is more difficult than anticipated. We actually have to take someone alive. Which is I’m aware none of your specialties.

The mission spec is as followed
We are being paid 500 gold weights to kill every full wizard who doesn’t immediately surrender. We are also being contracted to Capture the alchemist and turn him over to Fat Cat Trade & Co. Where I suppose they will publicly execute him for good PR or trade him for something or another. Now if we kill him we forfeit 100 gold weights. If we destroy his body we forfeit the remaining of the payment 250 gold weights.

Now James and Winston do you have any Intel on the situation?”

He asks as he starts to jot down notes of a plan forming in his mind.
