Mercenary of the High Seas! : The Death of CATSNAKES!

Liam did not have to put much effort in lifting the mast back up since a lot of crewmembers had quickly arrived to help, so he might have enjoyed to see the exhausted chimera on the other side if the mast had not been in between them, he was about to leave the suddenly the mast started rolling towards him, Liam was quick about tough, and managed to evade it by leaping above the mast, it was big, but he had not endured hundreds of hours traning his jump for nothing, as he leapt however, he noticed a pair of crewmembers being crushed by the mast, along with many falling into the water, including that annoying dwarf.

As liam landed, he thought about going to check on doog, but he noticed debbi rushing towards the edge, he did not knew what she was planning to do but doog was her problem now it seemed, not that he cared if they both ended up drowning, the ship would be certainly more peaceful without them, so with that thought, he walked away from that place, seeing there was not much he could do anyway.

As he walked away, he began thinking what he could do in the meantime, when he suddenly remembered about Selina, he had not seen her since yesterday, and did not knew what had happened to her during the assault, so he decided to quickly look for her, first, he checked her quarters, but they were open, with no one inside, so he decided to look deeper into the inner quarters of the ship, maybe she had wandered off in there...

Zero looked around and realized the attack was over. While the others handled the ship, Zero would have to do something more important.

He headed down to the galley and had a snack. His hunger gone, he went back to his room, laid on his bed, and starting reading some more of his book.

Debbi played with Doogan's hair listlessly. She could help with something, maybe, but she couldn't think of what. Maybe help push the ship? She smiled at that.

She gave Doog a kiss goodbye, then again because she liked it, and dived into the water. Once in there, she changed, calling upon the El Shadan. She became a water elemental, invisible in her natural element, and spread out around the ship. She nudged it along in the direction of the island, easing the burden on the three magic users up on deck.

Jimmy came up on deck and looked at them, still looking like a tiny dragon. He could feel them both on the back of his mind while he was walking all over the ship. Aru he knew, but James? Why did he feel James?

He'd have to keep on eye on that one...

The longer she worked at moving the ship, the easier it became. As more people joined in the ship-moving effort and now that the fucking mast was out of the water, Jamie felt as though she was actually having an impact on the ship's movement. Funny, never felt like I did that much besides serving drinks. Second day on the job and BOOM, it's as though I'm actually useful.

Her concentration hardened, she could tell that they were picking up speed. They would be near enough to the island to send out dinghies in less than twenty minutes.

Doogan scanned the island for a place to land the ship. He spotted a cove to the east that would serve their purpouses.

"Daniel! Cove to the east! Drop anchor there and we'll send out parties to gather repair supplies."

The Island, which Doogan has decieded to call Flaming Potatoe Island.....or maybe Liam is a tool Island......or maybe Ship Repair Island. Man naming an Island is harder work than i thought. I think i should wait till i have a better understanding of the island before i name it. i mean just attaching a random nam....OHHHHH I GOT IT!

Doogan adresses the crew on the deck.

"Men, and orcs, and people of varied species. You in the back. what are you? a kobold? i thought kobolds were little bulldog men? no? can i call you Gary? well you look like a Gary. What. Yes Gary you look like a Gary too. Anyway i need volenteers to search Catsnake Island for materials for repairing the ship. At least 3 groups i would think. Each group is going to need one of the engineers to accompany them. Gary you lead group 1. Gary you lead group 2. Brutis you lead group three. No Gary your leading group 1 and Gary is leading group 2. Its simple people. What do you mean "why is it called catsnake island?" Obviously its because the island is shaped like the vicious catsnake it resembles. See if you look off to the forest in the west you can see the whiskers. Well you have to squint a bit. And turn your head to the side. You see it now. Yeah i know. Thus the name. No of course there aren't any catsnakes on the island. What kind of fool would i be to send you to your doom on an island filled with crew eating catsnakes? So you have your orders. I want each team back by nightfall. And signal on your tele-pin if you run into anything we need to know about. Dissmissed."

Doogan watches the assembled groups man the boats and row to shore. I hope everything goes smoothly. I doubt we've seen the last of the Blacklighter. I wonder if they have any coconuts on the island. I could go for a Pina Colada.

It was just about now that something dropped on doogans head.
With a screaching call Tesi landed on the ships railing.

"Tesi! Thank you so much! you have no idea how much this means to me. She's gonna love these!"

Doogan tosses a piece of fish to the sleek bird of prey. Tesi snaps it up and flys off to look for little raven doogan assumes.

(at this point you can post going to the island. By yourself. or with one of the groups. or staying on the ship. I will be posting encounters based on who goes where.)

Zero stopped reading his book, and went back on deck. He heard the gnome's orders and thought to himself;
That sounds better that staying on this boring ship.
He went along with the second group, hoping that there would be something strong there he could fight.

James breaks off the spell, and stands up, a little woozy, but none too bad. He picks up his three artifacts, folds them up, and places them in one of the hip satchels he carries with him, which holds magical items and what not.

James walks over to Jamie, noticing Aru there, who had helped somewhat with the spell. James carefully wakes her out of the spell. "Jamie, we're there. And good idea on the wave usage, got us here that much quicker"

James shrugged Aru out of the spell, "Aru, we're here"

James looks at the island, wondering if he should even go.

On one hand, I could stay here and make sure to defend the boat in case of another attack.

On the other hand, I could go to the island and help gathering supplies, my magic could be useful there....choices choices.

Debbi decided to go to the island. Doogan didn't have much time for her right then, commanding the various peoples to do his bidding, and she didn't have much else to do, so she might as well.

She got into the first dinghy, ignoring Aru magnificently. Jimmy was perched on her head, attracting several glances and looks. He hissed at them and they looked away quickly.

She got off the dinghy and stretched. She looked around casually and, when no one was looking, decided to take a walk into the trees. Chopping trees was work. She didn't do things like that.

Raviana and Artesia met back up after the hawk had given something to Doogan (or, rather, had dropped something on his head). Sometimes Rav wondered how Tesi always managed to find what was requested of her, even in the middle of the ocean. Alright, it wasn't quite the middle, but close enough. She shrugged the thought off and turned to Tesi who was perched upon her arm, Ready to hit dry land?

Oh yeah. Maybe I can find something other than those damned old fish...

Rav gave a laugh and boarded a dinghy at random; she knew full and well that they would separate from any groups as soon as they hit land. She touched the telepin that she had attacked to her belt, just to make sure that she had it. It would be a shame to get lost on an uninhabited island in the middle of nowhere, now wouldn't it?

Selina had watched people leave the ship by dinghy, group by group. She couldn't help much in repair of the ship, she didn't currently have a job to do, and she needed rest and relaxation.
This situation called for a swim suit. She had just the one. it was a darker blue, almost black, and skimpy.... but it WAS the only one she had, and she felt like swimming, so fuck modesty. She slipped it on and walked out onto deck, walking seamlessly. With a smile and a whoop, she went careening off the side of the boat, noticing and waving to Liam just before leaping off into a flawless dive. She was a little ways from the land obviously, but growing up on an island, you're either afraid of water or you're at home with it. Selina was at home.

The week of travel was passed uneventufully. The bands of thieves and marauders that generaly haunted the area knew that for some reason people who came from this specific direction were not the best of targets. The many sites that looked like ancient remains of some epic battle gave testiment to the ferocity of those who travel this path which seemingly lead from nowhere. But these were not battles, they were massacres. Remains left in order to ward of new blood in the area. And left by the thieves as a warning to others of their ilk hoping that others will leave simiar ones in kind when they travel to new lands.
Alric wandered into one of the camps a day out of town and rested there for the night. He watched the skies till he slept.
He awoke the next morning and made for town along with the rest of the travelers of that day. Blending into the crowd as to enter without being suspected of something.

However contrary to his plan there seemed to be armed gaurds patroling the gates in the walls of the city stopping all groups and searching them.

This isn't good Alric thought to himself wondering how he would explain away his rather unusual cargo.
But on a seconds inspection he noticed that one of the gaurds searching wore a white band on his ankle. Alric made his way to him feigning to be in a hurry to get in.

"The cows are not what they seem" Alric said to the man in a quieted voice
"Yet the herd accepts them non the less" replied the less than ordinary guard.

The guard then made a show of looking though the equipment while muttering to Alric
"All order members are to report to the Citadel before leaving the city, Knights are to report directly to the gray acolytes"

"By the gray, brother" Alric replied to this

"By the gray"

Alric entered the city undisturbed and made for the center spire. Where the head priests of the Third Fellowship resided while thinking about the summons.
