Alright, now there are virtually two roles that can be played here. Demon or Hunter. There are differnt kinds of hunters and differnt kinds of demons. I shall be using this first post to describe the world they live in, the hunter types and the demon types as well. There can also be humans wanting to summon demons if anyone likes. This is going to be long, but I suggest reading(or at the very least skimming) over as much as possible.

-The World-
The world they live in is not Earth but a planet called Terra. There is a mix of science and magic in this world. Magic is broken into differnt categories. Light Magic(used for healing, protecting and banishing demons). Dark Magic(Used for offencive purposes, summoning demons, avoiding capture), Elemental Magic(Fire, Water, Air, etc.), Enchancement Magic(Run faster, jump higher, hold breath longer, see better in the dark, ect) and Status Magic(Stun, poision, blind, ect). The technology in the world is similar to our own in some respects but more medieval or almost western in other respects. There is eletricity, indoor plumbing, refridgerators, street lamps, metal boats, trains(eletric and steam depending on the area) and other small things. There is no Television, radios, computers, cars, planes of any kind, no air ships, and no rockets or anything along those lines. However there are firearms(more will be explianed in the Hunter section)

Buildings range from Western style towns to medieval villages(only clear, more sanity, ect) to full fledged cities similar to the ones today. Though there are nobel classes and what not, with King and Lords running the shows.

There are also many ecosystems ranging from Deserts, Lush forests, ice feilds, oceans, tropical islands, mountains. Very similar to our own world.

So there is a mix of magic, technology, modern and old style. If anything else needs to be clarified, just ask and I'll be happy to tell you more! Awesome

-The Hunters-
The hunters are 10 differnt clans of people each with an animal like Tattoo somewhere on their body to represent their clan. Each clan has differnt weapon preferances, different styles of hutning and differnt attidues. Hunter's are one of the highest ranking citizens in any kingdom. They outrank Preists in many cases and can give orders to most soldiers and clergy members. I shall list each clan now.

Snake Clan- A long serpent tattoo coling down the right arm from shoulder to hand. They use a mix of ranged and close weapons, with Katana's prefered melee weapons. They are calculating hunters that are very patient, waiting for the perfect strike, perfering to get a quick, one strike kill. They are not overly religious but have a strong sense of Honor and will never go back on their word.

Raven Clan- A large Raven with wings spread takes up most of their back as the tatoo of choice. They prefer the ranged kill, with rifles(sniperish) and pistols being the weapon of choice. But if it comes to fighting a pair of sickles are their melee weapon.They tend to have quick, accturate strikes and are often considered Cowards by other clans for their style of hunting.

Coyote Clan- A stylised Coyote head somewhere on the lower back is their tatoo. The Coyote clan used a mix of ranged and melee weapons with quick steady striked. They prefer a melee finish but are not against using their pistols when needed. They are very religious and also prefer to fight alone. They consider the Snake Clan their closest Allies.

Bear Clan- A bear head tatoo, often on the forehead, is their tatoo of choice. The bear clan is the largest and most powerful clan as of the time. They have some of the strongest warriors and most powerful hunters. However they are very head strong and brash and follow their mantra of "Victory at any cost." even if it means having to cheat, lie, steal, stab people in the back and generaly go against what most hunters' would consider honorable. The bear has a very agressive style of fighting that is basically to pound their target into submission with their broadswords or battle axes before that target can counter. They lack style and grace but they have the pure force to get the job done. They prefer melee kills but are not against using their heavy revolvers.

Ox Clan- A pair of horns on the forehead are the tatoo of choice for this clan. If not for their low numbers they would be the strongest clan phsyically out there. They are very stubborn, silent and powerful hunters, prefering to use their Hammer's over any other weapon, often not taking guns because they don't like the feel of them. They are a very proud bunch and to dishonor them is to face their wrath.

Dragon Clan- While the Snake clan have a serpant down the right, the Dragon clan have a dragon coiling down their left arms to their hands. The dragon clan is virtually a bunch of Pyro's. They are very hyper, very brash, foolish and impatient. They are the ony clan that will resort to blowing up a town if they fail their hunt. While they use traditonal hunter swords as their melee weapons they have fire spitter's which are pistols of their own creations that fire exploding bullets. They also have some basic knowledge in Fire based magics and they prefer to use flames to finish their hunt's.

Tiger Clan- The tiger clan has two tattoos they use. One is a tiger face on the back of the right hand while the other is tiger stripes going up both arms. The Stripes are generally reserved for elder members of the clan. The Tigers are virtually the ninja clan of hunters. They stalk in the shadows, hiding, waiting before they strike with a powerful blow that kills and they and their target are gone before anyone realised anything even happened. They prefer to use Kunai, and dual short katana's.

Wolf Clan- A wolf's head on the shoulder of their choice is this clan's mark. The Wolf clan are the master trappers, trackers and team based hunters. If you see one wolf clan member there are four more you are not seeing. Like their name sake they hunt in packs, working in perfect balance. Each wolf having a preferance that compliment's their team. While it is uncommon it is not unheard of for one to earn the 'lone wolf' title, that is earned when the 'pack' you hunt with from birth has been killed and you are the only survivor. You are not given a new team, but instead hunt on your own or teach the 'young pups' the ways of the hunt.

Shark Clan- A stylised shark design is often found on the leg of their choice as this clan's mark. This clan feels at home on the open water. They are sailors, they are fishermen, they are the most 'insane' clan. They are very laid back and tolerant, having seen most of the world. They specialize in melee kills, with the only guns they have on the decks of their ships to land the demons in the oceans. They prefer to use tridents, spears, harpoons, chains and nets as their weapons. They venture on land only when they need to, or if they owe someone a favor.

Phoenix Clan- a phoenix tattoo graces the chest of each member. While the Dragon clan knows basic figer magic the Phoenix clan are a clan of magic users. they spend their lives studying the arcane and have nearly every spell at their disposal. Because of their intense studies they are the weakest phsyically of any hunter's but the most dangerous by far. They see themselves better than other hunter's because of their intelligence and will not hesitate to rub it in the face of every other hunter alive. They generally use staves to focus and channel their magic, avoiding melee at all costs.

That is all the hunters. Each unique in their own right. They are all powerful people who have trained their entire lives in their vilages in order to do one thing, hunt Demons. Each village has a patriarch or a matriarch, generally an elder hunter who is the most powerful in the village hands down and even in their age could effectily handle several Greater Demons at once... And that takes us to the next section!

-The Demons-
There are differnt class of demons. Depending on the class it determins their power and the difficulty a hunter experiances when facing them.

Lesser Demon These aer virtually mindless beasts. These creatures are after blood and blood only. They don't care who or what it is, they want to kill. They are very easy to bind and 'tame' in a sense, and are relitivly powerful. However a single hunter could handle up to 10 lesser demons.

DemonThese are the embodiment of sins. They range from Greed demons who vaule money and power above all to lust demons who are virtually looking to take over the town and convert the populace to mindless sex toys. The look human, they think, they speak, they calculate. they are smarter and more powerful then the average human, but a single hunter can effectivly handle up to 3 of these creatures without difficulty.

Greater Demon These are creatures that are more powerful than any single hunter(except the patriarch or matriarch of a clan) and with enough greater demons they could destroy a Hunter Clan(as there were originally 12 clans, 2 have been whiped out due to demons). Greater demons posses magic, physical prowess and mental magics that make all other creatures flee if the demon does not hide itself. It can take a human form or it could take a more demonic form, always being more powerful in the demonic form. Several hunter's are requried to take down a single demon lord.

Demon LordThere are 13 demon lords. They are the most powerful demons in Hell and the greatest threat to mortals. It requries an incredible sacrifice to summon a demon lord, usually a hundred willing lives. Demon Lords alone are capible of fighting one on one with a patriarch or a matriarch, and will often win. As of this moment there are only 11 Demon Lords in Hell. One demon lord is sealed in a twisted tree in the tainted village of the once alive Salamander Clan. The Snake Clan watches over this land, protecting the tree holding the demon lord of decay within its seal. another Demon lord was cast to the bottom of the sea, sealed within a cave. Sailors try to explain what causes the whirlpools with science, but the Shark Clan, who guard the island with acess as close to the cave as possible, know it is the Demon Dragon of the Seas who causes it all.

Well this is all you really need to know about the demon hunter rp. There is potential for several dozen story lines. The entire cast could be just hunter's questing to stop a couple people trying to release all the demon lords(starting with the two already in the mortal relm). It can all be decided later once some intrest is shown and my intro is written.

Edit: I just noticed someone else wanted to be a part of that clan too. I'm assuming you want someone to role-play a character from each clan, so I'll change my request to being a member of the Raven's Clan instead.^^;;))

((I would like to join as a member of the Wolf Clan.

And question, what sort of weapons does the wolf clan prefer? and melee or range? Since it mostly only said they were good with traps and such things (even if traps are really good in itself) ))
