Well Faceless, if you look at it, you don't need to START OFF as a good artist. If we look back on a lot of classic bands and artists, they started off less than average, the Beatles actually sucked when they started, but then they were forced to keep playing and became legend, and no one remembers their suck period.

Same with webcomics like Megatokyo, VG Cats, even Dominic Deegan, the characters at the start are far from professional looking, but look at how they evolved, great! So trust me, as long as your figures are distinguishable from one another, I think you'll evolve along with 'em. I say practice a bit in your free time, then start going into it.

I don't know, Magello, I mean, you're already drawing stuff for the other forumites, so I don't want to overload you with work; and besides, do you have any references?

How is this work? I draw to relax.

No reference pictures at all. Where would they be?

I will consider your offer Magello, and as for what Pvt. Jenkins said, I have been drawing my whole life and it looks exactly the same as it did 10 years ago.

Again, you should check out that book I recommended. It helped me, at least.

I might try to draw again tonight, and see how things work. I should probably try to relax a bit when I draw, and not stress myself about it. Go with the flow.

If your having trouble with human form and stature then look at you own body in a mirror in the pose you want and draw it slowly piece by piece.

Hehehehe, no it's not that, it's just that I have found that does not work so well for me. I just have trouble drawing straight lines, and keeping everything even. And if I looked at myself in a mirror, I'd probably forget it as soon as I got back to drawing. I'm just like that.

If you have problem with straight lines, then do short sketchy ones, your picture will look a bit fuzzy, but going over it in a pen will fix that right up. That's what I do.

As far as even, do you just head into the picture, or do you start by drawing like a model (Starting off all heads as circles, etc)?

Also, if you're going to give it another shot, I say take things one step at a time. For example, first draw heads, nothing but heads, make each one different, different eyes, different hair, different everything for each one, and repeat until you start to see some stuff you like. Then move onto something else.

Also, if you can get basic shapes down (like squares, rectangles, cylinders, cones, and circles) then to draw more complex shapes, like a head for instance, or a foot, will become easier as you practice more and more.

Let me tell you, that funny picture I did of my friend (at an attempt of realism) did not take me just one hour...it took me a couple days to complete, through studying picture references.

Which...actually, is another idea that you can use, that works well for me, anyway. Find a couple pictures of what you're trying to draw and copy it.
