| I play a ret pally when I have the time to play wow.
I'm at lv 45 and have relaised that wehn I get to raids I'm going to have to switch to another class tree.
Why? Ret pally is a damage dealer. Just about every other class does it better at that point, but none tank quite so well.

Especially since I love my pets. I mean, when it gets to the point when I'm announcing in guild chat that Hika-chan or Kaoru-kun leveled, and my officers are all congratulating them, that's when you know you probably need to take a break and do something else. But they're still awesome and I luff them.

I wish Ret was more viable. Luckily, WRATH should change that. At any rate, Protadins aren't particularly well liked as compared to Feral Droods or Prot Warrs. Still nice for trash mobs, and what not.
I hate healing, more than most people do, but I'm going to have to go Holy in end game, sadly. |

| There is no support dps at higher levels. Paladins are intended as tanks and healers. If you don't like it roll a Warrior instead.

| Two major damage classes are rogues and mages. Roll one of them if you want to be dealing damage but not taking it.

Seriously, once you hit 70 the game fuckin' dies. I'm waiting for the expansion to come out simply because I'm tired of raiding to replace gear to replace gear to replace gear to replace it all anyway with greens from Wrath.
Also - Ret recently was "updated" to make it a bit less useless ... but it's still useless post leveling. Blizzard apparently knows this, but hopefully when the cap hits 80 ret pallies will be viable raiding (it seems a prot/ret build with reckoning (the ability that lets you add extra attacks ) would have a decent chance)
