| Okay, we need to clear some shit up. First off, besides the characters, have we actually gotten anything done?
And just a heads up, I am now going to make it a rule of how we will use the specials! Special attacks will be used the same as Street Fighter super attacks. Desperatin moves are similar, but much more powerful and glorified. For attacks like, HADOUKEN and such, they will be command attacks. I'm through sitting around! Let's get something done here! Errr... what are Street Fighter Super Attacks, and how are they different from, say, Mortal Kombat (only fighting game I've really played)? _________________

Basically theres a special bar for attacks, and they don't require 100000 button presses to execute. _________________

| Street Fighter Supers are very different from Mortal Kombat. Here, I will get a video. Errrrr, can someone find a video for me? I can't seem to find one. _________________ "The third generation of Pokemon has too many monsters with knives as random body parts. Of course that makes this generation fucking awesome."

Okay, so, like in Oblivion, they would be spells, as opposed to whacking someone with a warhammer or ax or what have you. Limited amount, but it only requires a single keystroke. _________________

| nope, basically, it involves a slightly more difficult motion to execute and it will spend some amount of your energy bar, which will refill as you take hits/deal damage.
I figure the desperation attacks should be easier to pull, but would require the total use of the energy bar and to have less than 1/4 of your life, that way they could be limited, but powerfull table-turners _________________ Hell Hath no fury like a woman you really shouldn't have slept with.

| Again, that was going to be how I wanted it to be faceless, good idea.
Hadoukens/Command attacks dont deplete your special bar.
Specials do deplete your special bar. Your special bar increases when you attack (some attacks will give you more energy if you hit with them, and also depends on whether you are spamming a physical/command attack).
One thing I wish to ask is if the special bar can be charged up (DBZ/Naruto style). The reason being it allows the specials to be used more, since it'll add more flair and help prevent the game from being block-heavy. Why? If someone tries to run the clock by blocking, you just charge your specials while they sit their and block. The detraction being if your are hit while charging, the attack does 1.5-2x the damage it normally would. Also, the charging mechanic doesn't really speed up the special reallly fast, but enough to give you 1/4 the bar in about 1.5-3.0 seconds. Helps, but isn't game breaking.
The Desperation moves are the equivalant of the Guilty Gear Instant kill moves. These moves will, if not blocked or dodged, do serious damage (like half a bar of health, roughly).
The desperation bar is charged by hitting or being hit. It shouldn't be a default that the desperation move be achieved by having your health at 1/4 or below, but if that person thinks it will balance the move, then fine, put special requirements on it.
Difference in inputting attacks:
Physical: LP/HP/LK/HK
Command: Down, Down-Forward, Forward +LP (Hadouken)
Special: Down, Down-Forward, Forward, Down, Down Forward, Forward+LP (Shinkuu Hadouken)
Desperation: Back, Back Downward, Down, Down Forward, Forward, Back, Back Downward, Down, Down Forward, Forward, Down Forward, Down+HP+HK (Metsu Hadouken)
See? The desperation moves require HUGE inputs, or have some requirements or gamble property to balance it out. Also, once a desperation is used, hit or miss, it cannot be used again for that entire fight. (GG style). Better use it well. (Desperation and Special can accumalate over rounds)
I'll add videos for examples (THE TUBES ARE CLOGGED TODAY, EVERYTHING IS SO DAMN SLOW), but if you have more questions, ask. _________________

| Those commands are ridiculous. I want to keep it simple like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 style. And I like the idea of charging your special bar, but I don't want people to be able to charge their desperation bar. _________________ "The third generation of Pokemon has too many monsters with knives as random body parts.
