Is the point that these characters should resemble us in some fighting form from the forum only? I think most characters do really...

I mean, we create a whole story for each of the characters for depth, these characters are like warped fantasy/fighting versions of us, so having strange stories helps give depth to the characters, and depth never hurts in a game, even just simple written depth.

What he said. The idea behind the storyline and what not is to explain why all these weird and different characters are all in one game, why they are fighting and where they come from.

I know it may be confusing but I think it adds an element of depth that saying "everyone on the fourm is just fighting because". I dunno, if enough people have issues with it we can scrap the story line I suppose.

I'd rather keep the storyline, it allows for depth of character, even if its ridicoulous, have you ever played a fighting game or watched a fighting movie that had amazing plots that made any fucking sense?
