| Can we wait until we have the game mechanics perfectly figured out before we go into too much detail on the sprites? | Would you care to read and give some gidelines about how the final gameplay system should be?

Well, I suggest figuring out what type of system we are going to use, then focus on the basic essentials of programming (i.e. menus, text, etc.) If you can, use the basic Kaiser template for the gameplay structuring or whatever.
