Ardon then looks at his bookshelf for something about white magic. He glances the old book on necromancy he found on a path when going to the Acadamy for his first time. Not what he is looking for. He then looks more, and finds a book on white magic, and starts reading it. Nothing on healing damaged land. He puts it back, and exits his house.

Delven smiled at Nikara

She actually looked a bit sad that she didn't get to cut me herself. Oh if only more women had that kind of passion for bloodshed...

Delven turned back into a large dog and followed Nikara closely before looking up at her, involuntarily paying no attention to anything Rikken said to him after.

"Heh, just so you know, you can cut me all you want for fun as long as it's not with a resistant blade...not that I'm afraid or anything it's just really annoying for me to patch up those kinds of wounds."

He turns and begins walking away.

"Anyway don't hesitate to use your second sight to find me if you wanna discuss the plan further or get some more blood."

Delven saunters down several alleys before finding a relatively safe and isolated spot to curl up and rest for the night.

Ezio leads any remaining people in his classroom outside before turning off the lights and locking up for the night, a task made all the more cumbersome by the many books and papers he is trying to handle at the same time. He turns to them and smiles.

"Alright, if anyone has any further questions or concerns you can come with me to my office. Otherwise I bid you all a good night and thank you for your time."

Ezio walks quickly through the snow to his office, a look of moderate surprise appears on his face when he sees that Nikara is not already there waiting for him.

Well I guess she got held up with some other business, I'm sure she'll be here soon. It's not like I don't have anything to keep me occupied in the meantime.

He turns on the lights and sets down his paperwork before making some tea and sitting down at his desk to grade his students' homework, one of several daily tasks he would normally have done by this hour. The door to his office is unlocked.

Rikken finished his smoke and stubbed it in the ashtray he picked up the packet and put them in his trenchcoat. He stepped outside and closed the door noiselessly behind him. He advanced towards the school. i must do it now before it is too late he thought. He thought he saw Nikara but he dissmissed it as a trick of the darkness. He moved further towards the castle wall.

As he reached it he clapped his hands together and placed them on the wall and a small opening appeared. "i'll have to remember where that is so i can get out that way later," he said to himself quietly, he pulled out his rapier and walked along the hallways till he got to the classroom that he had previously been in and watched as the professor came out. Burdened by his many books he did not see him. he hid against one of the walls as all the other students passed him by without a thought to why he was here. he followed quietly behind the professor and hid as he went into the room, Nikara should be here soon...

Though his vision was encumbered, Ezio was more than alert enough to tell that Rikken was following him as he went to his office and waiting outside as he finished his work. He sips his tea and continues grading for a while before his boredom and curiosity get the best of him. He walks up and opens his door with the cup still in hand, looking off at the stars.

"Something I can help you with Rikken?"

Rikken emerged out of the shadows. The cloak still hiding his face "I have some business with you, though not something that one would think ordinary," he rested his hand on his raiper ready to strike should he need to. he reached with his other hand and pulled out a smoke, he lit the end of it with a lighter and puffed it slowly, enjoying the moment. he pulled the smoke away and looked at the man standing in front of him, "No normal man would have detected my presence, are you a seer or something?" he resumed smoking.

"No matter," he waved a hand nonchalently in the air. "I have no interest anyway." He drew his rapier, and pointed it at the heart of Ezio "With any luck i'll be gone before Nikara shows up, beat her to the point." He lunged at Ezio attempting to get him though the heart...

Ezio chuckled after Rikken asked if he was a seer.

Apparently Rikken thinks he can move with complete silence even with all those metal parts he carries. But why on earth was this student trying to sneak up on me?

He drops his cup as soon as Rikken points his rapier at his heart.

"What in the blazes are you talking about?!"

Fortunately, Rikken's display made his attack all the more predictable. His rapier goes through Ezio's body with ease as the illusion fades away, Ezio is nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly a series of basic light spells are seen flying into the air from behind Ezio's office, lighting up the night sky with the clear purpose of alerting the authorities and anyone else who would help. Ezio steps out from the side of his office and glares at Rikken.

"I don't know what on earth possessed you to do this, but you've just thrown your future away! Soon you will be expelled and imprisoned!"

Ezio holds out his palms to Rikken, preparing to use whatever defensive magic may be necessary to hold him at bay until the authorities arrive.

The Quiral police notice Ezio's magic-flare and begin moving towards its location.

Rikken laughed at the top of his lungs, "you realise i was not the one destined to kill you, i am simply the messenger of death, anyway," he waved his hand at Ezio's idle threats, "I must bid you farewell." he bowed deeply and then, without Ezio noticing had been drawing a symbol on the wall of the castle, clapped his hands and touched the wall, it opened up and and rikken fell though down and outside the wall. "Oh and by the way, i left a little gift for you," he pulled the pin on a smoke grenade, and threw it into the room, that should last long enough for me to get away he gripped the side of the castle with his gloved hand to ease his drop down the side of the castle.

He landed at the bottom, and streaked away into the darkness. He had no trouble losing the police. He slowed down as the commotion died down, "Come on Nikara. Nows your time to act," A sinister smile spread across his face. he decided that he would go and see out Delven and tell him what happened.

He arrived a few minutes later after haveing found where he was, he poked the dog softly on the collar, hoping to wake him up. he placed his rapier away and sat down beside the dog.

Ezio stands outside his room in shock as the police arrive, he was only able to muster a single response that he shouted at Rikken as he left.

"What on earth have you been smoking?!"

The police take Ezio's testimony and confirm it with one of their own seers, they alert the Knights of Callan that there is a wanted criminal on the lose in Quiral and give them a very accurate description of Rikken. Wanted posters with pictures of Rikken are being hung in the busier areas of the city. The faculty is alerted and Rikken is immediately expelled from the magic academy. Ezio tells the officers that Rikken said he was not the only one trying to kill him, but Ezio refuses to go into protective custody. The police go on high alert status and have their seers give Ezio a small magic crystal which, when activated, will swiftly bring reinforcements to his location. Ezio slides it into his pocket and returns to his paperwork after the officers leave and the smoke dissipates.

Delven lets out a low growl as Rikken pokes him before slowly waking up and yawning excessively. He suddenly gets up on all fours and looks around attentively, his enhanced hearing and sense of smell indicate that there are many more people moving around the city than should be at this hour and he suspects from previous experience with law enforcement that this means the police are searching for someone. He looks at Rikken with a slight look of frustration and disappointment.

"So I take it Nikara did the kill early, huh? Looks like she was sloppier than usual and gave him the chance to call for help..."

Ardon sees the groups of police when he gets out of his house. "Must be a criminal or two on the loose. Oh great." He immediately reenters his house, and grabs his dagger. "They must not strike me, or they will pay."

Rikken put his smoke out, and spoke quietly to Delven, "I missed, he must have used some sort of magic to make an image of himself, i thought i had him for a minute but it dissapated and i had missed," he looked up for a minute listening for onlookers. he grabbed his raiper, and lent against one of the courners, looking for the quiral police, "they must not find me here," he thought quickly.

He walked out into the street, in plain sight of the police and signalling Delven to wait. a squad of guards spotted him, and charged towards his location, he smiled at them, it was not one of his usual smiles, one someone might give if they were greeting someone from a long time ago,

Wyn Guide my words he put out his hand, "Stop!" for one reason or another they stopped, and looked to delven to be in some sort of trance, "You'd better go back and look at the wanted poster i am not the person you seek," they seemed to snap out of the trance, one of the guards said, "You sure it's him?" another said, "Lets go back and check, they dissapeared down an alleyway and out of sight, he looked a Delven "and that my friend is Mimic Daravon."[/i]

Ardon quickly looks outside, noticing a wanted poster with a picture of Rikken on it. "That guy looks familiar...isn't that a picture of Rikken? One guy from school, now a criminal. Oh great." He then sees a policeman trip over a rock and crack his head. "Oh great, the police look inept right now...I hope the guy is alive."

Ardon rushes over to the injured policeman, and casts a few minor white magic spells on him.

Delven's jaw dropped at the sight of the trance. But after Rikken spoke he falls to the ground laughing uncontrollably.

"Oh my god! Heheh, I can't believe you actually name your silly mind-screwing spell! What, do you think you're an action book villain or something? Heheheh..."

He slowly rises to his feet and continues smiling at Rikken.

"Whatever, I'm not bothering to ask how the hell an alchemist did that. Those officers obviously weren't too bright in the first place."

His smile fades.

"You may be skilled, but trying to steal Nikara's kill was a real dumb-ass move. Now you've made things that much harder by getting the cops involved. *sigh* Well at least you can cause a better distraction now that you're the most wanted criminal in Quiral."

He walks down the alley past Rikken before stopping to look back at him with his usual smirk mixed with a look of genuine disappointment.

"And this, my arrogant friend, is called Staying Away from the Cop-Magnet. Good bye and good luck."

Delven sprints down the streets at near-cheetah speed, again going down many alleyways before finding a spot to curl up and fall back asleep.

Rikken smiled and took off down the street at lightning fast speed, "with any luck they'll still be at my house looking for me," he rounded a corner, covered his face and continued along the street.

*A few hours later*
Rikken was busy cleaning a small spot for him to stay and layed down for few minutes and thought quietly to himself, What a night! The terror of last night seemed to have faded as no more attacks by Rikken had slightly relaxed the guard, not insofar as to offer an opportunity to attack.

After a few attempts to heal the policeman, Ardon checked for a heartbeat. None. Being the incompetent person he is, it took a few hours to do all of the healing and checking for a heartbeat.

He starts to go back to his home.

When Ardon enters his home, he sleeps in his bed. Tough day, exhausted from healing the policeman, well, he needs his sleep.
