Nikara trudged through the snow, her head down a bit. Her thoughts trained through her head...and small crimson droplets littered the path behind her, coming from her clenched, hidden left hand. Dammit...why the hell won't this wound close up already? Guess I cut too deep... She perked her head up a bit as the short kid came running up to her...well even if he wasn't actually short, he was short to her and that was all that really mattered.

"Hm?" She glanced over towards him, closing her eyes and shaking her head. "...it's a stupid, stupid idea, and will likely just waste more peoples' money. Anybody who can't see that the orcs desire to be left alone is blind..."

Just like you think I am, eh?

Her crimson lips twisted into a faint smirk. Ten feet. Five feet. The dog would simply be allowed to approach her...it wouldn't be until he was within arms reach that she would react in a single, flashing, graceful motion. Not really caring for what the young student saw, she flicked her knife out from behind her with her right hand and spun her torso with her feet planted in the ground...the tip of the strange blade would barely slice the bridge of Delven's nose unless he was VERY quick on the evasion.

"...enjoy the meeting?"

Delven looked perplexed as he got closer.

Why the hell did that kid give me a thumbs up? Anyway Nikara should’ve turned to face me by now-

He doesn’t have a chance to finish that thought before Nikara spun around with her knife. The knife slashes him right above the nose. Delven takes a few steps back and lets out a low growl as the wound closes completely and Nikara spoke to him as though she knew he was not actually a dog.

Well damn! She’s definitely no amateur. She must have some decent divination skills to boot if she could see through my morph so easily.

His smile returns as he looks up at her, still in his dog form.

Teaming up with a seer assassin would practically guarantee that I never go back to the cage again. I guess I’d better mind my manners.

He sits down on all fours and speaks.

“Not really, it was boring and pointless for the most part. I’d say the highlight of the evening was when that little girl came close to saying she knew how to make blood pies."

Delven instinctively checks with his ears and nose for any eavesdroppers besides Rikken.

"I'll get to the point Nikara. I'm in the same business as you are and I'd like to discuss helping you with your latest project."

Delven turns to Rikken and his smile disappears.

"Do you mind leaving us alone kid? The details of our 'business' need to be kept COMPLETELY confidential."

"No i think i shall stay," said Rikken in a completly different but still forcefull tone, as though to say that he wasn't going anywhere till he found out what they were doing, "Although if it is anything to do with creating distress for that group, i'd be happy to oblidge. My name is Rikken." he bowed with one arm across his chest, still with both eyes scanning back and forth between the two. "Though i do wonder why, this cur is talking to me, it seems that he has forgotten his place in matters." he said looking at Delven.

"It seems you might require some help to steal, what is it? projects?, yes i know what you have been up to, i have been watching the whole time, i was in that pub when Nikara was there, not much escapes my notice." he paused for a moment to let it sink in then continued, "so let's get down to business shall we?"

A few small indistigusable tattoos adorned, but if one was not looking for them, they would have not recognised them as transmutation circles, which was probably why these two had not noticed them before. He placed a large piece of metal on the ground. He pulled out his rapier that was laying limply in it's scabbard and placed it on the ground. He flung out his arms and proceeded to do what he'd done a dozen times before.

The skin on his arms started to melt as if made of water, it revealed a skin covered in alchemic circles. He touched one of the tattoo's on his left bicep and touched to the thin metal. The marking on his arms glowed a light blue colour, and the rapier changed into a large broadsword. he grabbed the hilt and swung it around with one hand and put it into a comfortable position between his legs. "My true nature belies my own strength doesn't it?"

Nikara stared at the dog incredulously...next time she'd have to use the resistant edge instead of the mundane point, just to see if she could leave a scar...and when her attention turned to Rikken's little show, she just laughed. She withdrew the blade and sheathed it again behind her back.

"Steal? I have no interest in petty thievery...do I look like some common crook to you? ...and YOU..."

She promptly glared at Delven, her sapphire eyes boring into him.

"...business? No, we're not in the same business, and I don't work with mages..." She looked between the two of them. "...ANY mages..." She turned away from them, her hand still clutching the hilt behind her. "...I think you may have an easier time convincing me why I shouldn't bury this resistant metal shard in your hearts right now..."

Delven laughed at Rikken’s flamboyant display at the same time Nikara did.

“Heh, well I guess there’s no point in trying to keep a low profile after THAT.”

He gets up on his hind legs and slowly changes to his larger human-like form, he looks down at Rikken.

“Rikken, why the hell would you think EITHER of us is interested in stealing student projects?...Whatever. If you wanna help, it's fine with me so long as you stay loyal. But what matters is whether it's ok with HER.”

He turns to Nikara and smiles.
I don't think I've ever met a woman who was almost as strong and violent as I am. Heh, she’d be the perfect mate if it wasn’t for the high risk of being stabbed to death, oh well.

“The name’s Delven Sahvio. Sorry for assuming you were a fellow assassin.”

He takes a casual step towards Nikara so that he is back where he was originally standing before being slashed.

“Whatever your reason for killing mages is, it’s your own business and doesn’t matter to me since I’m not really a mage anymore. I underwent the ritual for becoming a changeling a bit early, so I can’t use magic on anything but myself. Even then I’m not casting spells as much as manipulating the alteration and ecomancy magic that’s been fused with my body.”

He crosses his arms.

“Which suits me just fine because it’s not my place to go messin’ around with anything else.”

His smile fades slightly.

“I’ll come clean since there’s no point in trying to lie to you. I have a bone to pick with some of those students for meddling in my business and I haven’t had the chance to hunt in quite a while so I’m being unusually generous and offering to help you with this kill free of charge. Now you’re obviously quite skilled but so are those punks; and believe ME they have an annoying habit of getting in the way of well-laid plans. Either way your chances of pulling this off will be a lot better with my help.”

She grinned like a demon as she looked back towards him over her shoulder.

A changeling...nothing more disgusting than someone corrupted by those magics...but at the very least I could use him for the time being...the little one too, if only as a distraction and a scapegoat...

"...hmph...I find it insulting that you'd assume I need your help for ANYTHING...and I don't see why you would assume me to be some kind of cold killer..." She slowly lifted her left arm from her side for the first time, slipping her hand out from under the giant sleeve...blood streaked her hand, as though it had been dripping down her arm. "...the blood you may have smelled on me is my own..." She glanced from side to side, then turned away again. "If you don't want to get in my way, and trust me, you don't...follow me..." She moved briskly towards the side until they'd reach somewhere well off the beaten path and with very little light.

"The little brats aren't my concern...though if they continue as they have, their time will come too. I'm not in the habit of harming helpless children..."

Delven followed cautiously, still keeping a watch for any unwanted guests. A slight grin on his face.
So Nikara's a bit of a righteous killer, eh? Haven't met one of those in quite a while.

"No need to feel insulted, I never said I thought you NEEDED my help. I'm just offering it to bring your chances of success from probable to guaranteed. Oh and I don't think you're a COLD killer either."

His grin widens.
If anything you're a very HOT killer.

Once they stop walking Delven continues to smirk while listening intently.
"Truth is I'm not aiming to injure any of the students. I just want to pay a few of them back by making sure they FAIL at saving Ezio's life or avenging his death, which they undoubtedly will try. Obviously the details of when, where and how we do this are up to you, Nikara."

Rikken watched as the other walked in a direction towards the a darkened area of the grounds. He quickly followed in the same direction.

As he heard Delven metion making them fail at stopping the students, Rikken said, "I don't mind getting my hands bloody, in fact i enjoy it," a small smile spread across his face. He changed the broadsword back into the raiper and slid it back into it's sheath. He clapped his hands together, and rubbed them together. "So Nikara what do you have planned?"

"What I have planned is none of your business..."

She sighed and shook her head, flexing her bloodied left hand a bit. "You two CAN help me by providing a bit of a...distraction...and a bit of something else..." She herself grinned as she unsheathed her blade again, glancing around to ensure they were well enshrouded.

"You see...my duty in this case is simple, but from what I've heard, this man's magic would pose a threat, even to me. I plan to catch him off-guard, but...it's always good to be prepared. Would you two be dears and offer a bit of your lifeblood?" She turned the knife in her hand, causing the dark metal to gleam a bit.

A slight look of confusion mixes with Delven's smirk.
"uhh...ok, I'll go ahead and assume you can somehow use our blood to help with the murder."

His grin widens as his expression returns to normal.

"Of course if this is just how you get your kicks, that's fine too. Either way you can go ahead and take as much blood as you need."

Delven takes a step towards Nikara and holds his left hand over his heart for a moment, slowly increasing his heart's size and his rate of blood cell production in his bone marrow. An inch-wide hole opens in the center of his chest and blood begins spewing from it at a steady rate similar to that of a drinking fountain, flowing directly in front of Nikara and slowly making a large puddle on the ground.

"Anyway, a good distraction needs to be believable. Those punks'll know something's amiss if I randomly show up to cause trouble. But if we wait till the fundraiser's underway they wouldn't be too surprised if I tried grabbing the money."

and the extra profit doesn't hurt either.

"Hmm...I'm not quite sure if I want to wait THAT long...but...yes. Yes I do think I could work with that..." She produced a large vial about an inch and a half wide, and a few inches long, from between her breasts and took a rather large sampling of the strangely pouring blood before capping it...standard science supplies? She seemed unphased by his method of blood delivery, though a bit saddened. "Didn't want cut? Oh well...yes...I think this will help for some time..."

She quickly turned her attention to Rikken. "Yours though...may require a bit of research before I can put it to full use, but there's much potential to be had...would you be so kind?" She slipped that vial back down the front of her shirt and produced another.

"Very well then," said Rikken, he pulled back one of his sleaves and looked for a spot where there were no alchemical markings, he pointed to a spot on his left arm, "As long as you cut there, and don't touch any of those markings you shouldn't have much trouble with my blood,"

"For once, i agree with you Delven, it would be easier to steal it out from under thier noses, and now that you have me it's going to be a hell of a lot easier,"

He waited for Nikara to cut his arm, he hummed to himself quietly while he waited as though this was a normal occurance.

The woman let out a deep laugh as she carelessly sliced him right across the arm with her dagger...it'd sting quite painfully, even moreso when she squeezed around it and held up another vial...though this one she wouldn't fill quite as much. "...it'll be much easier than either of you could imagine." She pulled her hand away and capped the vial. "These should keep your blood nice and fresh..." She slipped that one down the front of her shirt as well.

"You two go prepare, do whatever you want. We part ways now...I have a meeting with the good professor..." She turned and began to walk away from the two, a wry smile crossing her face. "You may want to get a bandage on that...you'll find it rather impossible to seal the wound with magic..."

This just keeps getting better and better...those two have no idea what they just gave me...

Rikken flinched a little as his arm was cut. Nikara took a little under a vial of his blood and left the wound open, she said something about being unable to heal wounds with magic, "who said i was going to use magic?" he clapped his hands together and touched two fingers on the knife cut, it healed instantly, "all i did was speed up the skin growth to seal the blood in. No magic in it at all," he covered his arm once more with the cloak he was wearing, he turned to Delven "what do you think she's got planned some kind of curse of something?" he shugged, "Well let me know when your ready to go,if you need a place to stay, i have plenty of room," he clapped his hands once again and placed them on the ground, turning the ice to puddles of water, he walked though it back to his place.

He opened the door and walked inside his house, he proceeded to pull one of his books off one of the many shelves of books he had and walked over to the fire, he placed some wood in the fire and lit it with another alchemical reaction. He walked over, sat down in his chair near the fire. He reached over and grabbed the small rolled smoke he had on the coffee table, he lit it with a lighter and began to puff merrily on it as he read the book.

Ardon Lokothan walks into his house, with a cookbook and bread ingredients he bought. He starts making the bread, while talking to himself. "Hmm...maybe white magic would really help Maltak. A place that damaged can be healed, I hope." He then accidentally burns the bread. "Darn it!!!" he yells.
