| Due to recent OOC posts and the like, I thought it would be better to have place to put them all, instead of spamming up the RP thread.
Firstly, Thalros' complaint:
| Thalros wrote: | Uh, guys, seriously, that wasn't cool. You cannot go around controlling other's characters. I excused it the first time because I could work around it, but this is the second time and we don't need a trend starting. Thanks to what's been done while I was gone, I can't jump back in appropriately.
That's another thing, you need to stop posting things involving other people's characters and continue the plotlines following them without them responding. There was a reason I had Cassandra follow Mortimer and the entire thing is ruined, now.
EDIT: I would also like to point out the fact that some of you are not following the character biographies appropriately and are taking far too many liberties with your actions. Per example: Cassandra is a well trained, highly disciplined Paladin specializing in defense. She was in a prepared stance, ready to kill Mortimer with a blink of an eye and somehow he was able to run up, smack her in the head and then talk about it.
This needs to stop. |
My response to the complaint:
| Magello wrote: | We did not in anyway express any control over your character. We expressed control over our own, following the logical progression of events that would result from our actions. You were offline, and I wanted to move the thread along as I will be leaving for bootcamp in about a week.
Also, it is still well within probability that Cassandra was able to pursue us as she is a paladin, and paladins are made of tougher stuff than meager men. You still can follow and pursue your storyline, though now you will possibly try to kill me.
Little things like that make life worth living.
As to your example, I assumed that with poison in her eyes, she would, understandably, be unable to see, thus allowing me to sneak up, bop her on the head, and run away.
However, because of my guilt for advancing the plotline without you, I wish to provide the following solution: Cassadra blocked most of the poison with her shield, allowing only a small amount of the poison to get into her eyes. In this moment of distraction, Mortimer struck. When Mortimer whacked her on the back of the head, it barely even fazed her, given her extensive military training and strength. Cassandra was easily able to block off the remaining poison, and pursued us to the edge of town.
Imagine the three of us turning the corner and running into her again, looking mad as hell.
I will in the future watch my posts, but I would like to repeat saying that we did something to a character is not controlling the character. |

| | Luckily, since most of the cast is split into groups, we can move the story along without affecting each other, much. Problem was, we were all around each other and the rapid acceleration of the plot was leaving some of us out. |

| | I'm still wanderin' around solo, trying to get into the group. I had something going there for a second, but then I was taken away from my computer for a while, and now I'm playing catch up again... |
