The USA is fucked up, and Canada is (to be perfectly absolutely honest) just a copy of the USA in 90% of the areas that matter. The only nations left that I would consider living in are Japan and Australia. I don't speak japanese, and I don't think I could stand the climate in Aussie land. Not to mention that there are laws in both countries which I'm not entirely appreciative of. |
I know that Japan is more economically free (which is a plus in my book), but how is it in regards to civil rights? _________________

| Tentacles roam freely, and the government is either too frightened or too corrupt to take action. _________________ HUK THAK |

But, as it stands, it really isn't. Feh, oh well. I would have more if I hadn't though Mookie would redflag all this when it was first made. |
I don't post unless I have something of quality tosay, or I'm responding to somebody. If somebody asks you a simple yes or no question, you can't really wait until you have more to say to answer it.
Yet I still have massive ammounts of posts...
Mayhap I just have more quality brainwaves than you, that would be cool. We should have a Dominic v. Karnak esque battle.
Maulkin - I like Japan's government a lot, my the only problem that comes to mind is the lack of freedom to bear arms. My philosophy is that if the people don't like the government, they should have the ability to band together and overthrow the government. Relegating practical weapons to government officials is a nice way of keeping the public from ever standing a decent chance against their rulers.
Governments are meant to serve the people, but lets face it, if the people lack power then the people in power within the government will walk all over the people. Why should the brawn submit to the masses?
There may be other things I dislike about Japan, but I haven't studied their law very thoroughly at all.
Monocle: Free roaming tentacles is an argument in japan's favor as far as I'm concerned. _________________ "Bears have penises. They can stick it in butts." ~LS |
