| My desktop varies.
Right now the background is this comic but with inverted colors. It has been known to change to Lackadaisy Cats, to Starcraft, to anything else my whims decide upon, though.

| My desktop alternates between the wallpaper of this comic, or else this wallpaper with all my icons and task bar hidden at all times. I like to keep my desktop clear.

| My icons are hidden. As is my task bar. My wallpapers are all you see on my desktop. A screenshot of my desktop would look just like the images I linked to.

| upper right corner of your keyboard has a button (above insert, which is above delete) that says "print screen."
Press that. Then open paint and hit CTRL+V
Make sure you SAVE AS and save it as a PNG, JPG, or GIF. If you save it as a BMP, then the internet will stop loving you.

Assuming you use Windows, you press the Print Screen button on your keyboard, go into Paint, and paste it there and save it.
If you use Linux you just press Print Screen and it does it all for you and you get a bunch of options
Edit: Okay just do what my boyfriend says cause he beat me to it. But I wouldn't save it as a .png because then it takes FOREVER TO LOAD *pokes LS*

| For anything but pictures of your desktop, yes.
It takes like five minutes for me to load pictures of your desktop, sweetiepants XD
