I'm going to rant a bit. I'm appalled and dissapointed that everyone immediatly resorts to "LAWL EXXADURATED TABLE MAKE INSULTED TOAST AT GUMBOOT FUNERAL" the moment anyone posts anything remotely interesting or formal pops up, destroying any possible instance of intelligent conversation without SOMEONE fucking it up with an Image Macro combined with inane text, and the  smiley.
I'm dissapointed in the intellectual consistency that I see, and if I didn't know any better i'd assume that nearly everyone was a 12 year old middle class caucasian american. |

| You are entitled to your opinion Kahou. While a bit of maturity and serious discussion is nice once and awhile in this case it is not wanted or important. Sorry Ryuken but that is just how I feel. There was no need to jump right into the posting of a plug for publishing at a con before getting to know us. it's just common courtosy to introduce yourself and get to know the people here. I hope you are not scared off by our actions.

Oh no, I am not turned off to the community by this and you are entitled to your opinion. Bsides, I have seen worse boards, flaming, and trolls without being hurt. It was a simple notice to people as this comic seems to get a lot of fan art and fan comics, I assumed that there would be a decent number of artists willing to volunteer their efforts.
Also, I feel I should thank you Kahou for supporting me.

No, I insulted several posters who personally made attacks on me saying they would kill me, asking to eat an arm, saying there were going to stuff my pelvis. I did not attack the community as a whole, just those posting about me. There is a difference. Next, if you are refering to my letter style as patronizing, then you are again mistaken as I do not post this way to challenge the way you write posts; this is how I write all my posts on all forums I am in. Also, I would not be remiss in saying that in this thread I have seen some of the most juvenile posts and attacks next to the random boards of 4chan and 7chan. Also, I must illuminate a logical error in your signature. The internet is not anarchic, it is controlled. That is what moderators are for, that is what ISPs are, they are controls. Anarchy does not last long, it tends to eventually collapse in its own chaos. So if you enjoy the internet, which I am presuming that you do, you would not subscribe to the idea that the internet is anarchy or else you are condeming it to an eventual demise at its own hand.
Besides, my formality does not invalidate your being casual in posting. There is no reason to attack my style, it does not affect you in any negative fashion. It may perhaps irk and irritate you, but does that validate an attack on its existance? Mosquitos and gnats bother me, but I do not call for the planned and executed extiction of all gnats and mosquitos. Do you catch my point?

3. Newbie....where to start with you...ok. You're egotistical. Its not the method in which you write your posts, its the air of arrogance you add to it. Attacking others back really doesn't make you any better than them. Attacking Anarchy was a stupid mistake on your part, keep your opinions on hot topics like that to yourself. And I would hope you would call for the planned extinction of mosquitos are they are extremely dangerous and all around pests. And you're right, you aren't directly asking people to spend a single dime for your con, but you are still plugging and advertising it. Or, are you saying all those coke commercials that don't say "buy coke" but feature a polar bear drinking it not advertisement? Get your facts straight and cut the arrogance, we got enough of it as is.

You missed my point and in essence proved it. Even if a group of people annoy you, you cannot scare them off. In the example, if you were to eliminate mosquitos, what is the effect then? Anything that feeds on mosquitos starves and so on down the line. Also, the systematic removal of the discusion of 'hot topics' is what leads to oppression. You cannot say, "Don't disagree on that, it will only cause an arguement," that is censorship which causes its own problems. Also, what about your arrogance. You feel that as you have more posts or because you have spent more time on this forum that you enforce your will on me. You think that you can just tell me what to talk about, what is that. That is the pot calling the kettle black.
Also, in regards to your first point; have you seen Idiocracy? If you haven't, in it an entirely average man is frozen in stasis for 500 years and is awoke to find an entirely different society, a dumbed down society. On emajor motif in it is the slander of this man for 'talking like a queer'. Because he doesn't cut down his speech to the standard level, they verbally assault him. That is what this is in a sense. You are deriding my message due to a stylistic dispute. Whether I write in this manner or not does not make it egotistical or not. It is a style and not a statement. More like a dialect than the content of the person's speech.
However, I will not dispute the advertising remark. The mere mention of a product or et cetera is advertising as it increases awareness.

Woo! thaks 2.72! it's looking nicer now, but yeah, the legs and the whole lower body still look small in comparisson, but well, other than that, it's good, can't wait to "put" it on

Once again, I restate my point, maybe because I didn't make it clear enough. Its not the way you write your post, its your arrogance. I never said you can't have an opinion, I never said you can't disagree. I said don't bring that topic up, why? Because it's in the forum rules. And for your information, spiders and bats feed on mosquitos, but both have alternative food sources. The point you make is like saying taking away hamburgers would starve the American population. I'm not oppresive and I'm not arrogant. I'm not enforcing my will, I'm stating stop breaking the rules.
