And any videos they post if can be rated or commented won't do well.

I'm not one to EVER bash a religion. Its someone believing in something, which makes him a stronger person than someone with no beliefs.

But scientology can die. This isn't a religion, its a mockery of mankind's spirituality.

The videoes they posted have been set up so that you cannot rate them, comment on them, or post video responses to them.

I considered flagging their videos, but that would be abusive and infringe upon their right to post the video.

Although not letting me rate the video or comment on it I feel infringes on my right as a you-tuber user to influence content, so I could theoretically justify flagging it as a rights violation.

Not going to though. It'd be griefing.

So Scientology has decided to embrace Youtube as a means of spreading propoganda. So how long before Youtube is no longer filled with the idiocy of the masses(aka stupid people doing stupidly funny stuff) and instead filled with the stupidity of the few?(aka special interest propoganda)

Eh, the user still has the power in youtube, overall. beside,s if what you are saying is going to happen happens, conduit, the users will find a new site. THAT is the power of the internet. We can always go someplace else.

And, as Maul points out, they do have every right to dis-allow commenting, on account of the fact that YouTube and, by our patronage of YouTube, we the community are allowing them to. Hence why I didn't flag the videos in retaliation. By the rules of YouTube that would be an abuse, and I choose to respect those rules.

The proper method of getting commenting to be allowed would be to complain to the admins. Now, if we as a user community feel the admins are failing, THEN we could try circumventing the system. But only as a group.

At any rate, this is now a full-blown information war. It will be interesting to witness... maybe I can get a senior thesis out of it ^^

It is unfair to the community as a whole to allow someone to post a video that everyone can see and then block them all from commenting on it. It goes agaisnt the very principles of free society.
