| Well, Tangent is opposite/adjacent, so it should be pretty simple. What is the angle we want? What is the opposite, and what is the adjacent? _________________

| This whole line of thought completely ignores the hypotenuse.

| I remember once my math teacher made a really bad pun about the hypotenuse and a high pot in use. It hurt me inside. _________________ You're about to die. Scream if you must. |

| That's the main benefit of being a teacher: making your students hurt inside.

| Ooh, a cosine! Hello, and welcome aboard. I hope that you enjoy your stay, and that you find some constant friends here.
I'm so sorry to here about sine. You should try to get him into a college-level class so that he can experience the full complexity of life. |

| In a side note, I always memorised it as 'All stations to central' not 'All students take calculus.' _________________ You're about to die. Scream if you must. |

| Gilga, I learnt it as "All stations to central" too. Though I do quite fondly remember that maths lesson when we were told a lovely story about "All students take calculus". Apparently one of the girls in the class made the assumption that it was "All students take drugs". :D Good times.
Anyway! Welcome cosine ^.^ Hope you have much fun on the forum!

Gah. With the A - S - T - C thing that only confuses me more. I always get the thing mixed up, or try to go anti-clockwise and stuff like that. I have to remember it as a picture.
Because Sine is SS, Cos is C and Tan is T, so I can remember, _____________________C________T
...
I never could get the points of the compass. It's actually really embarrassing. I always get East and West mixed up. >_>
