What would you do if you won the lottery? I'm not talking $5000. No, I'm talking 30 Million Dollars. It would surprise you to know the first thing I would do it buy a house near my university and furnish it and then move out my my parent's place. I would then buy a good computer and put all my stuf on it. Then I would set the rest aside for other stuff like school and what not. from there, i don't know what i would do.

Libertarian paradise... Fine a chunk of land with unused resources and try to found my own country. Make peace with the US government by both showing them it's in their best economic interest to let us go about our business, and in their best safety interest as it wouldn't be worth trying to take us over (guns, explosives, etcetera).

1 BILLION DOLLARS.

Most likely, I would use it to help my family. We would be able to pay off our mortgage and our loans, and buy nice stuff.

With that kind of money, i would invest half of it in buying properties to maintain my ass for the rest of my life with rents, the other half would be invested in traveling, friends, and family. In a rational manner of course.

I'd buy a ranch in Colorado, buy whatever my wife wants, and put the rest away in savings so we wouldn't ever have to work, again.

Course, I'd have to blow my money on a few things:

A black, referbished 1969 Dodge Charger.
A lime green 1970 Plymouth Barracuda.
A silver 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang.
A red 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
A blue, white striped 1968 Chevrolet Camaro.
A 1974 Ford Torino painted like Starsky's.
And, last, but not least, the only modern day muscle car...
A red, with black stripes, 2008 Dodge Viper SRT-10.

Pay off debts, get my momma a very nice house, buy my dad a yacht to sail on, fly to Wales, woo the girl of my dreams, fly back with her, and settle down to sit on the porch in rocking chairs drinking sweet tea. Awesome

...Okay, everything except that last part. That comes much later. Put in "create my own video game company" before it.

Hard to say. I think it might take me a while to calm down and think rationally about it. I'd help my parents settle their debts and try to see if I could help my brother and sister-in-law get a house. I'd get myself a car. Upgrade my computer. Get some new clothes and shoes. Probably leave the rest in the bank till I finished university then I'd go to Canada to visit my old friends. Then probably some more traveling. And then I'd probably see how things were going at that point.

Become a philanthropist, quite honestly. That way even when my own money is gone the organisations I would create would be able to continue doing good work.

I would pay what's still left of my fathers debt. Then I would split 2 million between my favourite charities (no, seriously. with 30 million? I could spare it). After that I would put it in my bank account and look at it admiring the beauty of all those zero's.
Oh yeah, I would probably move after a while when I've had enough of all the long lost relatives and 'friends' that suddenly show up.

Invest European, play the stock market, move into a nice apartment, and basically dick around on these forums the rest of my days. Maybe move to Australia so I could host a Fansite Meetup.

I'd put a lot of it away, honestly. My college tuition, my sister's tuition, my parents' mortgage...all of that would come first. Then I'd likely buy my own car, purchase the best cupcakes money can buy, and eat them with the man I love. I might also fly out to Europe or India for a vacation. Save up for a house for when I'm older and need one. Likely blow some dough on Broadway tix and football tix. And work in theatre, doing what I love, because money would not be an issue. I'd also donate quite a bit of money to a few charities I support.

I'd use the money to go into hiding for about six months. Completely take myself off the grid, that way, for a while, no on would bother me about it.

I would immediately put 25 mil in the bank, and use the interest to support myself and my family. I would then pay off my father's medical bills, and make sure that he has all of the crap he needs for his heart problems.

I'd put one million in a trust for my sister's college education, then go to school myself.

<< and of course, I'd have to spoil myself with an old broken down piece o' crap car. Preferrably a Barracuda of any year, so I could fix it up to my own liking.
