This thread is here as a scope, it is here not to spark debate, but as a window into my own opinion. That cops are in fact, uniformed gang members, and nothing more. The fact there there are good cops, does nothing to convince me that they are needed to make society function. They are as dispensable as the people, government, and property they protect.

Just because some cops have the capacity to do well, does not mean they will go against the wishes of their paymasters, and they are the praetorian guard for the future our diebold elected benefactors have in store for us. Enjoy the violence.

while it is true there are cases of this I find that they can be sometimes very rare. I dunno, might just be I live in Canada or something but I don't hear much of police brutality up here(excpet when the news records a guy being put in a car screaming it at the top of his lungs). And yeah, the police can get carried away sometime. I have just found, while it does happen I find it is a very small percent of the population. Besides the police do more good than harm in my honest opinion. And this is all this is right here, my honest opinion.

I do not think the videos are an accurate representation of the police in general. And, while I can sympathize with your Anarchist position, I do not think it will work; in the absence of law, a tyrant will rise. There will always be a group that is more powerful than all the rest, and I want that group to respect the sovereignty of the individual will (and come down hard on those who do not).

Have I misunderstood your position as far as law and the enforcement thereof goes, Reitrunner?

Yes. Because Tyrants are just that, unneeded. If a tyrant wants to mess with our way of life, we will fight back. There is no reason why we can't. I have no problem fighting for my way of life. I want to live my life free of want, and free of irrelevance. Everyday a new romance begins.

Anarchy is not without Law. Anarchy is without absolute leaders who have the final say in everything.

You may not realize this Maulkin, but you and your close personal circle of friends, are HARDCORE anarchists. You make decisions together, without the consent of a higher authority. Do we get Pizza, or Hamburgers? No one person is making this decision for you.

What do you mean? If every anarchist has a gun, then yes, you can fight back. Anarchist societies have militias. And they have the public opinion of their oppressors as the ultimate tool against tyranny.

You think when a molotov cocktail is thrown at a cop it is some kind of JOKE? these people are not messing around. They are prepared to die for their cause.

But what if they have bigger guns and more men, or take control of the various mines and mills and such? I like the ideas behind anarchism, I just don't think sovereignty can be respected if the biggest, baddest kid on the playground is a despot...

Then a true anarchist would die. He will NEVER cave. He stands for something more complete than a life of pointless work to "survive" he lives in honesty, and the Truth, above all else is his authority.

If the biggest baddest kid wants to mess with me, let him mess with me. The wave of sentiment to our lifestyle will only ramp up if we are made to look oppressed. The despot is nothing without people who will listen to him.

Then they don't fight. It's not that hard to understand. Those who want to fight the tyrant go to war. They fight, die, and preserve all that is noble.

The problem I see is the whole "communist revolution" thing; tempt enough stupid people with the promise of the wealth of another, and they will decide to take things by force. You can see it in Russia, where there was no government after the revolution. Lenin's promises sounded good, so they followed him. Aaaand they ended up with a despot. Not everyone will respect the sovereignity of the individual, and if there are enough of them, the rights of the individual will be taken away.

Anarchists are not communists. Anarchists hate communists and fascists alike.

In a Capitalistic Society, everyone is forced to compete. In an communist society, everyone is forced to work together.

They both imply Hierarchy. In Anarchist societies, the people make every decision. Everyone decides what to do, and if someone doesn't want to do it, he doesn't have too. He just doesn't do it.

Lets take for example, an opera house. All of the people who want the opera house will band together and make it. Those who don't want an opera house will ignore the project all together. That is Anarchy.
