Conventions

Subject: Conventions Fri May 23, 2008 4:27 pm

This may have already been started in another thread, but I'd like to know when some of the DDFF are at the local cons. Think of this as a "I'll be at such-and-such this weekend" thread. However, I realize most of you value your anonyminity :)

I'll be at A-Kon this weekend. Look for the walking stick engraved with "Staff of Cleansing", and soap tied to the end.

Wow... does that mean you'll get to see Mookie? You should totally take pictures. And have fun at the con too, of course.

(Oh, and I won't be going to any conventions any time soon. The whole living in Australia thing kind of limits that. But who knows, maybe I'll go an exchange to Americaland in uni or something. That would be interesting.)

Yeah, Mookie signed my staff last year :] it was awesome. Then I forgot my copy of "Ecstasy and Evil" at his booth >.< He didn't have as many people as, so, Scott from VG cats did, but it was still very nice to get to see him.

Edit: Pictures of the staff I made, and got signed. Very quick craftsmanship :p During the con I attach a bar of soap with some string to the end, but it's not on right now. Some of those nerds need it.

I'm sure you guys must have decent conventions there, hell, i think Phoenix and Tat went to one no long ago, here anime conventions are almost unheard off, and when one is actually organized, is usually pretty crappy.

Drache and I are at Animazement this weekend, but I was only able to be there yesterday and somehow missed her. However, it was cool! And that's the only con I get to go to, unless there's some down by the beach that I'm not aware of.
