I blame my upbringing though, my father was a math major and I was pretty much raised around understanding computers so ... yeah ^^; _________________

| probably has something to do with which side of the brain you process information on ... I can't remember which side did what, but it was an interesting read regardless ^^; you might want to look it up sometime =3 _________________

| Hmm, true.
That is interesting. If I could take a psychology class that went into that sort of stuff, I would. _________________ check out my art blog and devART.

| I don't think it quite works like that, the sides of the brain work more like ... linear vs holistic
as in both hemispheres have a way to do things, but the left side thinks A + B = C + D = F where the right would think A + B + D = F
crappy example but *shrug*
So people who are right-side-oriented still can have creative streaks ( like say, Escher) and people who are left-side still can manage math ... if that makes sense ^^; _________________

| ... You do realize that different IQ tests score on different scales right? A 100 in one test might be average intelligence while a 110 in another is average. Genius level might be 130 in one test and 150 in another. It all depends on how the test is setup and how the scoring scheme works. MENSA certifies a number of different IQ tests and the score needed to gain membership is different for each one. ^_^ _________________

| | Actually its sort of a mix of both. If i remember they did some tests on a split brain patient. One of the tests was showing him a picture of a face made out of fruit. One half of the brain was able to see the face made out of fruit, the other could only see the fruit. Both halves of the brain perform different fuctions and process information differently. |

| Anyway! as much as I would love to continue on this topic (simply because it's one of the few we've had that dosn't look like it'll quickly resort to insults and name calling) I'm going over to my uncles to have my ass beat in chess ^^; _________________

| Heh, i like chess, unfortunatedly, i am a very impatient guy so i tend to be too reckless in that game...
Anyway, i agree with porgon, is nice to have these kinds of conversations, makes us look more like intelectual people and less like loons.
As i stated before, most of the people here seem to be very rational, but alas, some are a little too hot-headed, and this can get the best of them, anyway, trying to return to the topic, i agree with ark´s part of the theory, i also remebered reading that the left hemisphere was the mathemathic and scietific side, while the right was the creative side, still, there are many ways this can be interpreted, i just like the simple way XD _________________ 'Any tree can drop an apple.
