Subject: BLEACH RPG - Game 2 About To Begin! Thu Feb 14, 2008 6:32 am

I am in the process of putting together a new type of Role-Playing game based on Bleach.

The way it works is, each player chooses a shinigami with specific stats, combat scores and abilities. There is a common goal to work toward, a system of voting players to be executed (similar to Mafia, if you've ever played that), and a combat system where any player can attack any other player at any time.

Each player is also given an alternate account to correspond with his/her chosen shinigami, so there's no telling who controls which shinigami, and this changes each game.

It will be held on a forum other than this one, though I haven't decided whether it will be on my home forum at lemondemon.com or on a new forum that I create myself (kind of leaning toward the second choice).

Now, I'm not sure how well this system I've made up will work. It's loosely based on Dungeons and Dragons, but not NEARLY as complicated, and I'm sure it's going to need a LOT of tweaking (and play testing :3 ) before it comes together.

What I'm wondering is this: What level of interest would folks from this board have in registering at a new board and playing this game? If there's a lot of interest, that would further entice me to just go ahead and make a new forum rather than playing it at my other one.

Having watched all of Bleach that's out and being completely caught up on the scanlated manga, I'd be interested in trying this out.

Do you mean an existing shinigami like Rukia and Ichigo, or a made up one?

Hmmm..I would love to try it. Bleach is one of my more enjoyed animes because of the humor. Kept that sense of humor as best you can and you got a winner in my heart.

I watched all of bleach until the rescue rukia arc was over, and from then on i've just read the scantaled manga

I'd be interested. If we're playing existing shinigami then I have an idea of who I'd like to be (won't say right now >.>) but if we could make our own shinigami that'd be awesome. I kinda have an idea for one I've been batting around for a while now.

Hey, remember this thread?

It's time. :D

This game has been two months in the making, and I'm hoping it will be epic.

Here's all I can tell you right now:

1. It will be based on the anime Bleach. Some knowledge of Bleach may be helpful, so you might want to peruse the Wikipedia article if you are unfamiliar.

2. There will be a heavy role-playing element in this game, including attack and defense stats, dice rolls and special abilities unlike anything that has been seen. I've basically written an entire brand new role-playing-game rulebook from scratch for this.

3. It will take place on another new forum I've specifically created for this game (and possible subsequent ones), and every player will receive a special 'character account' to preserve anonymity.

4. There will likely be people from other forums involved as well.

If you're interested, PM me your email address, and post in this thread, so I can get an idea of how many people are interested and I know how many character accounts to make. Also, post any questions you may have. I've put a lot of work into this, so I'm really hoping this goes well. ^_^
