| Like I said in the absences thread, my prom was tonight. And me and the people I went with had fun, if not in an exactly conventional way. Anyways, just thought I'd share this, and maybe you can add stories of what happened at your proms?
| Spoiler: | | | | The Prom! Or How We Got Dressed Up Pointlessly wrote: | Everyone met at my house around five-ish. Took pictures and whatnot, then got in the town car (which was really cool; 96.1 FM FTW!) to go to PF Chang's. And we went there! And the food was good! And like true gamers, we talked about games. Like seriously, that was all we talked about. And I still hold by what I say about Zack Fair and Cloud Strife being teh awesome despite pwnings by Sephiroth and/or any mental issues. But that's beside the point. So we ate, and we called the car back, and we went to the prom!
So we arrive at prom. I make the observation that the lights on the dance floor are the same ones used in the final scene of Prom: The Musical and laugh my head off despite everyone else looking at me funny. (Love my school sometimes, but they are cheap as hell!) And we're all bored, and Tiffany is clearly not teh happy, and honestly neither am I.
So after a while I'm like, 'hey, guys, let's hang around till nine-ish and then go to my house to play video games.' Everyone agrees, as video games are generally a good way to pass time. We take some pictures of other peoples and then head out. I am feeling somewhat crappy as I was the reason everyone got all dressed up and went to so much expense. Sorry about that, guys.
Then we make a couple quick stops at Tiffany and Terry's houses. Terry gets his GameCube controllers and a Wiimote. Tiffany gets her controller, a jacket, and her cell phone charger. Then we get to my house and start playing teh game!
So Terry and James are maniacs at the game, but I manage to hold my own as Zelda. Because I'm awesome with Zelda. Tiffany, having never played Brawl before, decides to sit to the side and look stuff up on my computer. Anyways, after a while, James's friend TJ comes over and plays with us, too. And I annoy the crap out of them. Yes, I will spam Din's Fire from the other end of the stage. Yes, I will come after whoever has the highest damage and smack you off. And yes, I'm barely paying attention to what I'm really doing, so if I KO you, no hard feelings.
Anyways, we had fun, and hopefully Tiffany and I will have a girl's game night later today (as it is almost 1:30). |

| If you have seen the movie Prom Night, you will know how my prom went.
Never went to prom because we don't have proms at my school. Even if we did, I still wouldn't go. Proms are boring. _________________ When the world looks up and shouts "Save us!", I will whisper, "No".

| I didn't go to prom either. But I drove a lot of people to prom.
Also, a lot of people came over to my house to have sex after prom. _________________

| Prom? Meh... just a chance for girls to try to dress fancier than each other and guys to wish in vain to get lucky. I saved time and burned my money directly. _________________

| Honestly, I kinda wish I'd gone to my friend's anti-prom instead. Certainly would have been a lot more fun. The guy throwing it was already paranoid to turn his back on me. Now imagine him drunk AND paranoid.

| I find everyone's lackluster appreciation of prom quite maddening. I liked my prom. I'm a six foot three guy, and I went in a dress and heels with a number of my friends. My date was my sister/cousin Jin Sol. She was only a sophomore, and they couldn't come unless they went with someone, so I took her with me.
I danced the night away for six hours, till three in the morning. I had a very good time. _________________

| Prom is only as fun as you make it. That's why I went all stabbity at my prom. _________________ When the world looks up and shouts "Save us!", I will whisper, "No".

| I prefer mustard gas, you get to see everyone scream and choke and writhe at once ^.^
And then you can dance with your partner among the corpses, Joker style! _________________

| Well, killing them can be made into a dance of death. Bar the doors, stab them a few times and dance with them while they bleed to death. _________________ When the world looks up and shouts "Save us!", I will whisper, "No".

| Also, I was the poor kid who went to Rich People High School, so tickets to my prom were $75 per person, or $120 for couples. _________________
