AMVs PISS ME OFF!

Why do the creators think it's art to put random anime clips to music?

A few are good, when actually set to the music, and when both the song and the video clips fit. It comes off as a tribute to the anime. Which is likely what it's supposed to be.

But the ones that bug me...search a few of these up on Youtube.

The Dragon's Experimental Fury. A random collage of game and anime footage set to Fury of the Storm, by dragonforce.

KH Denies the Trow's Kind, and ANY AMV by that guy....

AMVs like these are treated like art by the creator. I don't know why.

They're random clips set to a song, is all.

Post AMVs that bug you, and rant about why they bug you. I'd have ranted more, but I'm afraid Maulkin would ban me for the full length rant's language...issues...

As a general rule, non-professionally made music videos are horrible.

As a personal statement, keep expectations low, and you won't be disappointed.

There are only a select few that are decent enough to sit through the whole thing. Although, many of the ones made to the "Robot Hell" song are fitting and amusing. But I agree, most are complete crap.

Well, to be fair, if it weren't for people so lame and unimaginitive that they'll slap any anime with any song, we wouldn't have a plethora of songs on Youtube... Just remember to tell anyone you're sharing it with to listen to the music and ignore the actual video.

I do do that, Maulkin...I just got pissed when someone chewed me out because I didn't consider his AMV art, and thus this was born.

There was one I have on my bebo site. It's pretty good. It's clips of Sesshoumaru set to the music: I stand alone.

Good AMV's are really hard to make. Unfortunately, people are lazy, so we end up with 90% of AMV's being complete crap, and that makes people think ALL of them are crap.

Same with animutations.

The thing is, people see good AMVs, and think they can do it too. But there are some people who...actually know what they are doing.
