Basic Overview.

Name: Zar

Description: 1 foot tall demon, but to make life easier for the spriters, I'm fine as long as he's just noticably smaller than the other sprites, and not all proportional. The reference pics can show how he looks better than I can explain though. xD

(Note: For the spriters, using the colour from the photoshopped one is best, the other colous are innacurate because my scanner scans light colours really strangely.)

Concept: Fairly weak defense, fair speed, and the worst attack you HAVE EVER SEEN. Seriously. Zar is very fail-oriented until he's low health. He will be more focused on his desperation moves than regular stuff. Heavy hitters should be able to destroy him though. ;3

Backstory: Zar had found the forum a wonderful white-padded space in which to spread some insanity, mischief, and mayhem. He quickly made friends, but then was in a bad spot: he absoloutely hated when fangirls started fangirling, and he had just learned one of his forum friends was a fangirl! He eventually decided to make an attempt to cure Kairiki of her fangirlishness. He had heard of the Devourer, and the immense power at his disposal, so Zar hopes to convince the Devourer to cure Kairiki's fangirlishness.

Rival: Kairiki

ATTACKS
Basic:
LP - Poke (Does pretty much no damage)
LK - Stomp on opponent's foot
HP - Jab
HK - Kick in the shins!

Jumping:
LP - Slap
LK - Kicks while moving towards the opponent
HP - Shoves the opponent back a little, doing less damage than the basic heavy punch.
HK - Does a backflip and kicks the opponent at around head level.

Crouching:
LP - Poke
LK - Small push
HP - Swipes with his fierce claws! :D
HK - Spins aound, tripping the opponent with his feet then whacking the with his tail as he completes the spin

Throw:
Jumps on the opponent's head, covering their eyes and biting their head. then, he pushes them down and to the side while Zar jumps away. he ends up on the opposite side of where he started, and the opponent will be still facing the same way.

Command:
Trip - Slides towards the enemy and trips them, doing hardly any damage but stunning them.
SHOVE - Pushes opponent back, doing no damage
Glomp! - Glomps the opponent, 'cause Zar wuvs dem!

Special:
Sharin' the luv: Hugs the opponent doing just a little damage over time, but the opponent can't do anything while being hugged
SUPERUBERMEGAGLOMP - Stronger glomp, accompanied with some sparkles

Desperation:
Rage withing - A burst of darkness, then Zar turns into... Uhhh... I haven't got a name for him yet, but he's sort of like an "evil Zar" for fifteen(?) seconds, and I'll post a picture as soon as I finish one. The attack and defence of Zar is increased greatly, though his speed is notched down a little. He will only be able to perform four basic attacks like this, but he is a powerhouse.

LP - Just a punch, nothin' fancy
LK - An uppercut (not a kick, but whatever -_-)
HP - The symbols on his right arm begin to glow and he punches the opponent. Much pain is involved
HK - He whips his tail around and sends the opponent back a little after contact
Happy Guy! - Zar runs off screen, then returns on Happy Guy, trampling the opponent.

Cookie! - Zar takes out some cookies, and munches on them, healing a little heath (10% max.) Then, remembering his manners, he hands some to his opponent, who gets healed half as much as Zar.

Stage :D
...Stage... -_- A sort of "Happy Hell" looking place. By that, something that may look a little like Hell, but with a happy feel to it.

Music I was thinking a light, upbeat music to go with it. Something with sort of a King Dedede's Theme feel to go with it.

Some feedback would be nice. ;3 Is he too cheap by having healing or crazy desperation moves?
And if the Spriters find doin zar too hard, just tell me and I'll edit him a little.

It's good to see Zar in the game! I was going to be seriously upset if he didn't make it in for some bizarre reason.

I'll post a more thorough bunch of comments tomorrow, but for now let me say that I am impressed. Zar is a very creative character mechanically, and he's absolutely infused with personality, and it looks like he'll be great fun to play. Good job.

Hmmm..an interesting direction.. I like this Zar Character, it is a shame I shall have to step on him ^^;
