Goals

1. Make a list of characters that will be in the game, if not all the people who have signed up can be in it.
-Figure out how many people can fit
-Cull as needed
-Post list

(People may be added later, but that's pretty much all of them)

2. Of those who are on the list, we need to get an adequate move list (including description), physical description (enough to draw a sprite from), and backstory (which should include their relation to the plotline, ie what they're trying to achieve)

Requirements:

Physical Description: it must be able to give you a good mental image of what your character looks like because that's what the spriters are gonna be using to make your character.

Move List: same as physical description. Must be vivid enough to give a clear mental picture.

Backstory: this is gonna be a little description (about a paragraph) when people are selecting who they are gonna use to fight. It should have correct spelling and grammar, it must be written in the third person, and it must be interesting. Needs to include who they are, how they found out about this problem, and what they're fighting to do.

3. This will probably take the longest, so I'll try to break it down into further chunks - a sprite picture for every action of every character.

Please do these steps in this order. So, how many characters can we fit? There are currently 22, can we fit anymore? Is that too much? Is that just enough?

There are 22 characters at the moment. If Dominic gets in, which is likely, we would have 23. I think we have room for a couple more.

In that case, we should reserve those spots for forumites who are an integral part of the forum but have not yet tried to join. How about, say, three more, at most, thus bringing the possible total to 25/26 (depending on Dominic)?

i second this, as i said earlier, i would love to have messaih and oblivion in (if he already isnt), they are old enough and i think they have their place well earned.

Also, i think sunny has yet to post, but she also wanted to get in from earlier, and she is willing to contact someone to make the music for this, so i vouch for her also.

For step two: everyone, please make sure that all the necessary fields (Description, Concept, Backstory, and Movelists) for your character are up to snuff? It'd make my job a whole lot easier if I just had to review them, and not have to post edits.

Template

Description: Should include skin color, gender (if not apparent), clothing, weapons, accessories, everything that makes your character visibly unique.

Concept: basically, what type of fighter your character is. Are they quick and speedy, favoring several lighter hits over larger ones? Are they defense powerhouses, able to weather the most powerful blasts? Are they mages, with weak direct attacks but potent specials?

Backstory: written from a third person perspective, it tells how your character came to know of this threat to the forum and why they're fighting.

Rival: who is your rival on this forum, and why.

Movelist: See Kahou's movelist for the necessary fields.

Winning pose: pretty self explanatory.

um... hey maul, may i suggest we add some more few things at the template?

-Rival: choose a character in the game you would like to have as a rival, this defines one of the characters you would fight in your story arc.

- Stage: pick what kind of stage or background would you like to have for your character, basic description and a pic as refference would also help.

-Music: choose what song would you like for your character, there are possibilities of having our own music compossed, so also post the stile of music you would like if this is implemented.

-Winning poses (pending?): not sure if we will be able to implement these, but seing every other fighting game has them i think they should be in, these are self explanatory, describe a pose or action you would like to have for your character after he wins a fight.

i think these things are also vital for a character, sure they are kinda like bells and whistles, but are things that usually appears in fighting games, its your call of course.

i think im pretty much done maul, you can check it now, before i leave tomorrow.

Also sunny requested to be deleted from the list, she wants to let someone elese in her place, check the rivalry list if you want to confirm this.

Another thing, i have fully completed the whole story of my character, but its supposed to be secret for the majority, if you want to review it tell me and i will PM it to you
