| Specifically, Jack's computer cannot load a thread with the word "g a m e" (without spaces) in it. So, I'm going to put in a temporary word filter, one that will change the word to, literally, g a m e. I'm sorry for any inconvenience, but it's necessary for her mod duties.
Edit: Oh, and if anyone can figure out the problem (I honestly have no idea), please help. _________________

| Yes... whenever I try to upload a thread or section of the forum with the word "game" in it's title, I get this:

I was also on the chatbox ages and ages ago, and someone there mentioned a similar problem. Has this been happening to anyone else?

| | Are you using a college based wireless connection? Sometimes they can block sites and stuff... |

| ...The reason for why it's happening is pretty pathetic actually. It is a filter, one placed on all the computers in the house by my parental units, to curb the playing of online games by my sibling. With some irony, I was the only one effected (for over six months). |

| I would like to know how a filter on the word "game" would help at all. If the sibling is already playing games it's not going to do much, if any good. _________________

| Well, if there was g a m e in the url, it would have worked. But most games, it isn't. *shrugs*
I don't mind the filter, really. It's their network, so they can do what they like. If he'd objected strongly, I just would have asked for Maully to take of the filter and just dealt with not seeing those parts of the forum.
Pheonix: This is true. It seems logical to me too. :P |

Although I can't exactly come up with a better solution off the top of my head. _________________

| Could the fact that you're still using IE for some reason be related to this level of fail? _________________ The Law of Fives states simply that: ALL THINGS HAPPEN IN FIVES, OR ARE DIVISIBLE BY OR ARE MULTIPLES OF FIVE, OR ARE SOMEHOW DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY APPROPRIATE TO 5.

| *Uses IE*
I think it's sad when people make negative judgements on others about their browsers. What's wrong with using something you're comfortable with? |
