Parents often think they know what they're doing, but in reality, they really know nothing. Especially about computer stuff.
Jack: Why not point out to your parents that their solution just don't work in the way they thought it would? If they are in doubt, then show them evidence. And there should be lots of better solutions for hindering your brother's WoW-syndrome (or whatever it is), like for instance, blocking the actual sites he visits.
Oh, and DO think about stop using IE, because it's a virus magnet...use Firefox instead, or Opera, or...or just about anything, because IE is the total opposite of "teh shit". Sad but true.
Reit: I use FF but I can't use Noscript, since it tends to block things I need and I have tried to tell Noscript I need those things but it just doesn't listen to me (meaning "I have tried to white-list several sites and addresses but Noscript still messes with me, so I have given up"). _________________

| Well, IE came with my computer, so... why should I go through the trouble of using FireFox if it functions, essentially, the same? I don't listen to much music, and if I want to I can just use Youtube.
(Also, the "game" filter is turned off) _________________

| I actually prefer IE it's just it keeps crashing in the middle of browsing for some random reason. Firefox's download method seriously pisses me off compared to IE's.
Btw, does this count as necroposting? _________________
